I have one question and i've been thinking about this for quite a while.

 

I've noticed how shiny/glossy the tail lights are on new cars. Would it be possible to spray your Tail Lights with clear gloss paint?? Would that be legal??

clear is legal - why don't you just buy some "Mothers" Plastic Polish.

 

Mine where very milky until I polished them -= made a huge difference in literally less than 30secs

Hey mate clear paint works ok for a while, but once it's been in the sun for a while it tends to yellow and crack off, and removing it to re-coat is practically impossible!

Try a light cutting compound polish and ideally an electronic buffer - otherwise do it by hand. It's slow work and you have to be careful with "heavy cut" polishes as they leave it looking pale and milky, but the right polish and a bit of hard work and they should come up brand new.

Or instead of doing that, you could do what Ruts suggested 2 posts up from yours and buy some plastic polish, that wont harm the plastic in the tail lights because it's made for it

I'm considering doing LED conversions (like the ones you see on trucks) for people. Need to do a prototype or two first but.

An uncle of mine uses plain ol' toothpaste to do the same thing

Ben I have a set of taillight assemblies spare for mine - you can try those if you want - might do well with that model - they don't make Altezzas for them - somethign different would sell well.

They don't work anywhere near as well - not bright enough believe it or not.

Using them for a tail light on the HPV that I run. Shit load brighter than a normal bike taillight
