need to tow a KE20 from hobart to georgetown.

if ya from hobart, could possibly hire trailer in hobart for the day, drive to my place, then back to hobart or something..

 

i can pay for fuel and trailer hire aslong as its not much more than $100..$150 is max i can atm...

And 3rd, is it hard to tow a trailer???...with a car on it???...

I'm pretty sure u can tow i wouldnt worry too much about that part of the law, the coon will do it too...

 

i hire a car trailer from BP up here in ulverstone for 24 hours for track days and thats just under 50 bucks if thats any help...

 

u would use 100 in fuel too...

 

just remember when towing a car no fast movements with the wheel or throttle or brake, and it takes twice as far to stop! lol

justs a word of warning as tom said keep an eye on the temp as there a baztard for blowing head gaskets (take the front bumper and grill off)lol jk's but it would benifit

 

note if theres a headwind you will use allot more fuel

Fuel is a killer towing a trailer that far. Be prepared to use twice as much fuel.

 

The trailer can easily get the wobbles at high speed. Check that often, you may have to stick to 90kph.

 

Also, the rental car trailers are heavy crude things out of MadMax. Often the trailer brakes won't work.

You a are p-plater so you wont be doing more than 80km/h, we towed my nans mazda 323 back from hobart behinde my dads volvo (don't mouth me) it didnt use that much fuel, you have just got to keep and eye on the temp as it can creap up pretty quickly. also if your using a manual give the gearstick abit of a feel because it can also get hot. If you've got the time make a stop at Cambel Town or Ross and grab a drink or something this will give the car a chance to cool a little.

just depends what ya towing with, our 2x4 2.6 rodeo has no troubles towing heary cars, we go from sorell to exeter in the one go without stops and nothing gets to hot, torque monster, it will cut a bit off his time as hes coming through mudwalls road,

just backing up what jonny said, hire trailers are shit, they have no suspension and the ramps are allways to short.....
