Nothing else been done really. Just trying to work out if my gearbox tunnel needs any extra room for the gearbox or not. It clears as it is now. But the sump is sitting on the crossmember ATM.
Found it on eBay believe it or not. Spotted it and clicked buy it now straight away before someone else saw it. If you search around you can pick up sr20 engine with a blown headgasket for around $150 on forums. Think I saw one on Silvia forums for $150 pickup blown headgasket. No gearbox or wiring or anything though just the engine
Would be up to you man. The plus side would be a ca18det and I think sr20det would bolt straight in when you pull the ca8et out. I picked up my sr20de complete with loom ecu. Gearbox. Inlet and exhaust manifolds. The lot. $300. Add the $280 postage cost me so $580 delivered to my door.
Matt
They are shit for long trips. But they are awesome when you go into the bends because of the adjustable side lumbar.
Dummy fitted ATM. So that I can work out engine mounts. Haven't had time to go out there today much. Dad's in the hospital with a broken knee. So going into the garage when I get back home from the hospital. Check my crossmember to sump clearance so I can see if it needs to go up or good where it is.
Thanks mate. I love the look of this car. The colour and the shaved bits, and the wheels. All seem to work very well together. Glad I got my hands on it. Hopefully it shouldn't take to long to get it running with the sr20.
Ok. Well after a lot of thinking. And being sick of waiting for my other ke36. I made a decision. So went into the garage at 10:30pm not long after getting home. And was finished up for the night on what I wanted done by about 12:45am.

Here's a more decent pic of the exhaust manifold also.

I'm still unpacking stuff from moving in. Engine wasn't in the garage till 8pm. And trying to get the turbo 4k in the blue ke36 running so why would I pull it out?
I see nothing camry about this car.
That is an awesome ke20 you got mate :blinks: I looked into a ls2 for my ke36. But decided against it due to the fact that I wouldn't of been able to engineer it. If only I had the car and a shitload of money last year I couldn't got it engineered.
Can't wait to see more pics :jamie:
dyno tune will obviously net you the best result. Just make sure you have a carby rising rate fpr. Malpassi seems to be the way to go for the carby's. I take it you'll be going blow through by the sounds of it? What engine you using? Also what turbo?
Lol that's what I was about to say. Wastegate only control's boost.
Can't think of anyone that has drilled the secondaries out on te stock carby for boost. My 4k turbo carby has a weber on it :)
