still havent got tyres, or any wheel nuts.. and now my timing chain is loose and is rattle rattle rattle like a biatch!!.. So going to get new chain, seals ect, and might get a cam regrind while I'm at it..

yea was a tune up. Found it its a timing chain. has stretched and started rattleing. Noise is there on idle, but under load the noise is gone. so I'm assuming the chain has got tention on it and noise is gone.

Started car this morning, no sound..... then as it warmed up the loud ticking noise came. checked under the rocker cover, nothen.. its all good. I really dunno..

Would be wise to have the manifold off to do the work anyway.. :dance:

dunno about a k motor, but on my old gemini manifold it has the 2 holes... i got the bit in the middle taken out so the 2 holes are now one oval shape one. Dunno if it made much difference, cause i got the manifolded ported to match head, and got some headwork done.. but i guess it could help a slight bit

Id assume so mate, The engine cross member is the same, so one would think the steering is same Good luck anyhow...

yeap, take motor and box out in one.. Might be handy to replace throw out bearing, and spigot bearing if your unsure of condition... i didnt listen to that part and had to take motor and box back out same day cause the whine was horrible.

Hey all Took me KE70 for a drive earlier and when i came home, i shut car off.. but the car still ran for about 4 seconds and suddenly stopped with a nasty grinding noise. Have just came back from a drive to shop to get dinner, and a when i started it, its making a nasty ticking grinding noise. it was a little louder with revs, but i putted all way there and back. Will have a closer look 2morrow to make sure nothen has came loose, or one of the push rods has fallen off.. all the gaps, timing, ect was done saturday just gone. so i don't know. i don't rev past 5k which is hardly often anyway.. Any ideas? :P

Hey Anyone know of any company's that will send a long package to USA? Ive rang Star Track express and they only ship items if you got an account with them... easy? no... you gotta be a business to get one.. :P and they say all company's are the same. Any help would be good.. Ps, item is the 2 long chrome strips on a KE55 2 door.. the bit that holds rubber from rear window to front.. so its long package.. just under 2m long. :D

If your converting from auto to manual, don't forget to put a spigot bearing in behind flywheel... i found mine didnt have one. and ive read auto's don't have one.
