  4. no, it was black and GRAY!!!!
  5. it isn't a corolla - BUT I saw a chrysler C300 limousine!!! Today on Glen Osmond Road - it looked cool AS!
  6. the muffler? well, i sprayed on the alloy wheel cleaner, then I put the pre-soak on it, then I high pressure sprayed it, then I soap sprayed it then it dried (so I'm guessing it was pretty clean) and then I attacked it with the metal polish....and it looked crap. OH YEAH!!! I EVEN did under the side skirts!!! that was funny.....
  7. oops, yes the muffler  I tried on the other side with metal polish, but it just kinda smeared and looked crappier....
  8. oh, and I updated my avatar too
  9. oh, and I forgot to post this one.... note the shiny exhaust! the mark on the side is rain.... oh, any idea how to get the baffle to shine too??
  10. interior pics will have to wait until tomorrow, it's dark now  ....I also popped the bonnet and though...nah too late, too hard do it next week.... oh, whilst I was vacuuming, i must've knocked the rear kick panel and it fell off.... it took me a minute to work out how to put it back on, and then the vacuum ran out of time, and I only had this much > < to go so I thought... ah bugger it... :D Lesley
  11. ooohhhkaayyy.... washed the car AGAIN  got it home, decided to take pics of the Corolla and the MR2 went out to the picture spot, and it started to RAIN *bastard!* so drove back home and sulked...then decided bugger it, I'll take phot's anyway...then the camera wouldn't work...got an E18 message....surfed the web and found a solution, hubby fixed camera, and voila! pics :D Lesley
  12. *hissy fit* I WANNA see it!!!! fix the liiiinnnnkkkk!!!!!!
  13. yeah, but she DOES has a chainsaw! approach at your own risk!
  14. all I can say is that chick with the chainsaw couldn't possibly walk in those shoes, and if she did manage it, a). she'd build up her calf muscles - cause they must weigh a ton ... and b). her posture would be shot. oh and I officially take offence because there doesn't seem to be any women on here to voice ... ummm the ... ummmm womens ....ummmm right's of.... uhhh not being ummmmm, ahhhh exploited! so there! you've been told!!!! *ps: that urinal one is very funny, I LOL!*
  15. who's actually running the cruise?
  16. well I didn't take them - I know, I know....I left the camera at work, and the batteries were flat and I recalled the charger being at work, so the next day I went to work and couldn't find the charger...so I thought about the last time I used the camera and remembered that I brought the charger home! but then I left the camera at work...then it rained and the car got dirty... so I'm going to do it all again this weekend, charge the batteries and bring the camera home and THEN there'll be pics! Lesley
  17. i couldn't get the link to play, it said it was "no longer available".
  18. OOOOHHHHH KAAAYYYYYYYYYYY.... who feels like a bit of an idiot? >ME< here's a run down of what I've been up to since 8 this morning (waiting for the mechanics to get in...) phoned a friend he wasn't there so spoke to my friends boss (who's a mechanic) who gave me some tips spoke to consumer affairs left a message with the turbo guy spoke to my mechanic who said "it doesn't sound like you've blown it up lesley" PHEW! it sounds like a hose has come off, have you checked them? (well I looked at the top of the engine but it was dark and I didn't have a torch and I was panicing), :ok, go and check the piping off the turbo *and another thing I can't remember what it's called but COULD be the air intake meter) and it's on the side (he said top but it's actually on the side) of the air filter... called the RAA in readiness for a tow truck..... looked under the car and couldn't see much cause I only have about this much room > < I thought there was a hose loose UNDERNEATH the turbo, so jacked it up to have a better look and saw that the BOTTOM INTERCOOLER PIPE HAD COME OFF COMPLETELY  oh, just as a side note - men are so nice - they see a woman on the side of the road with their bonnet up and they stop and offer assistance - the first one thought I was changing a tyre and offered to do it for me, and I explained that I was ok, I was just figuring out how to put the intercooler pipe back on and that's why I was jacking up the car, he said "you know what an intercooler pipe is?" me grinning, "uh yeah, really, I'm ok, thank you.... " he said "oh, ok .... nice car by the way" ;) then the second nice man that stopped asked if I was ok, and I said "yes, I'm fine, really, I'm not in any trouble, it's all under control", and he said "good job, I like your car". The third man that stopped (by this time I was kinda getting annoyed with all the interruptions, LOL) peered down at me through the engine bay (cause I was under the car by this time) said "you ok there?" me "yep, everything's great, just putting this pipe back on" him, "ok then, I'll leave you to it" finished doing that but still under the car and the RAA man rocks up. "you ok".... me: "well, I've spoken to my mechanic and he said to check the hoses so I did, and I think it's this one here points ----> I've put it back on and tightened up the hose clamp, but would you mind just checking it out for me please?". he was impressed with what I'd done (which made me feel chuffed and not so much of an idiot) and said that I'd done a good job, but I hadn't tightened up the hose clamp enough and I put the wheel chock in the wrong place - BUT I LEARNT SOMETHING NEW! so it seems to be working, all ok, but on the test drive there was a slight sucking noise so I rang my mechanic back and I am just on my way down there for the car to go up on the hoist and check everything out and on an extended road test I'll be able to ascertain if there is any of the other noise.... so a great big PHEW!!!!! I was so scared that the turbo had blown up and that I would have to do without my car AGAIN for an extended time..... Lesley
  19. "peace man" ;)
  20. I just have to figure out if I should tow it, or drive it..... just making calls now...oh the turbo has been in for 4 months now, (gosh doesn't time fly?) Lesley *feeling more optimistic than yesterday ..... when it felt like the bottom of my world fell out*
  21. I think I blew up my turbo .... again and 500 klms out of warranty and 4 days after I got it back from my 100,000 klm service.... yesterday and today whilst I had the radio off and the window down I heard this air sucking noise, you know like when you put on a brand new K&N air filter and it's working well? Well I thought that it may be that becuase the RAA inspection I had done what, 10 days ago said it was dirty... so I paid no mind, but it was bothering me, so I kept an ear out.... Then tonight when I was going home, I had to overtake some cyclists who were taking up the whole goddamn road so I changed down to third and zoomed past them (not crazy) and the car had a conniption fit and it sounded like ... ummm all the air had come out of a ballon noise.... it was spooling up but it didn't feel punchy and there wasn't the turbo boost zoom pssshhttt noise ...... it was a constant farty sound. I checked all the hoses and the connections but I don't know whether to get to towed to toyota, or if I should contact the people who re-built it, or if maybe a hose has come loose, the thing that really shits me is that it was running beautifully BEFORE they did the service....and this always seems to happen, I put it in, and I get it back with a bigger problem...AND maybe the warranty is void because I've gone over the 100,000 klms.... f@$kity, f@$k, f@$k, poo! PS: sorry for my swearing I'm just uber annoyed and upset....
  22. SHUT UP! we have an SW20! they're sexy as!!!! what about adrenalins? I'll see if I can find a piccy....
  23. YAY! I'm so glad that you got it back....hope the people who stole it get a right good kick up the arse and then get their nuts chopped off....that'll teach em! Lesley :P
  24. I use the coin op wash on Portrush Road, vacuum and chamois it, and then bring the car back home to wax, polish, do windows, interior, wheels, exhaust etc.,... I used to do the whole interior, windows, wheels and exhaust down there, but it takes me about 4 hours, and I kind of feel guiltly that I take up a bay to do it, so now I do the bear minimum there, and do the bulk of it when I get home... on the plus side of doing it there, there's a subway so I can get icy cold coke there and refill before I come home :P I think I left the camera at work, so I'll pop back there tomorrow and pick it up....then take happy snaps... Lesley :) PS: I think I'm obsessed...I took my car back to work tonight to show hubby and one of our regulars was mucking around and pretending to touch it and I freaked out....
  25. man, here I was feeling chumped that I'd cleaned my car, and look at what you did!!!! That's an AWESOME job :D well done :hmm:
