my mum used to whip cream cheese with pineapple juice, then put in crushed pineapple and then you eat it like a dip with jatz biscuits.... it's an acquired taste but eventually you kind of get used to it.... -

Adelaide Motor Show - Who Went? Pics Inside!

I'm going, but I'm not sure if I'm going on Saturday or Sunday -
basics... a CAMS licence, a mounted fire extinguisher, I'm not sure about a first aid kit, but there handy to have..., non combustible clothing and a helmet. More information can be found on the CAMS website. Depending on what sort of racing you're planning there may be other minimum specs (for the car etc.,) but it's a start :nervous: Lesley |blink|

Hey, GUESS WHAT I SAW TODAY???!!! A mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10!! About 6 months ago I saw a SWEET Evo 9 parked near where I worked...It was schmick! I went into one of the shops, and in conversation asked if she knew who owned it... imagine my surprise when she told me it was her husbands! NO WAY! So I said when was he coming in next? She told me and I went and drooled over his car ;) ANYWAY today I was walking along the street and there was a lancer there, I noticed it had a FMIC and thought...hmm not too sure about these new lancers, hang on...why has it got a FMIC? So I checked it out....then on the way back I noticed it was an EVO10! so I lingered and drooled some more...and got back to work.... About 5 minutes later, my friend's husband (the one in the 2nd paragraph) walks in and says "hey Lesley, wanna see what I'm driving?" I was thinking to myself, god it can't be better than the EVO...I said, "whatcha driving?" he says "the EVO10"... NO WAY!!! so out I run and start REALLY drooling over the car..the grills on the front fenders, the brembo brakes, the gorgeous rims, the recaro seats...the engine bay.....the sound system, the sub which is standard in the boot ... the twin exhaust and the sound of it... the list goes on and on....i was in heaven  We got talking, it's got the paddle gear shifts and the twin clutch system, it's one of only two in Australia and GUESS WHAT THEYRE GOING TO DO WITH IT?!?!?!? They're going to CRUSH it! NO WAY!! :y: apparently it doesn't meet ADR emission standards so they're going to crush it .... :( I saw my friend later in the day and I asked her to thank her husband for stopping by and letting me drool all over the car, and she said "I asked him to, I thought you might like it, but he was worried it might come across as arrogant, and I told him that with other people it might, but when it comes to you, you're into cars and you'd get a buzz" (did I EVER!) and I told her it was the highlight of my day, and a BIG thank you :D It was SO cool!!!! Lesley :hmm:

http://carsguide.news.com.au/site/motoring.../?from=CG_email Can’t afford a supercar? P1 The Supercar Club gives members the option of driving the latest exotic cars. If you're having trouble choosing between a Ferrari 430 or Aston Martin DB9, then P1 The Supercar Club is your answer. You can have them all for a fraction of the price. P1 is a multi-million dollar version of a car-rental company but you need to be quick if you want to be a part of the action. Less than a year after launching its Melbourne office, memberships in the exclusive and expensive rental company are running out. More than 135 Australians have signed up and the company will limit its membership to 200 to make sure there are enough cars to go around. “We'll never go above 200 members,” says James Ward, general manager of P1 in Victoria, “basically to maintain a ratio of five new members for each new car.” Though only 29 vehicles are spread across the company's three Australian locations — in Richmond, Sydney and the Gold Coast — the quality of the cars and motorbikes has seen the company lay out $29 million on equipment. Set up by former Formula One world champion Damon Hill in 2000 in Britain, the club came to Australia in December 2006. The Richmond branch opened last March. Members can join for $4550 and pay annual charges ranging from $27,000 to $36,500 to have access to a dream garage. P1's roster includes three examples of the Lamborghini Gallardo, a Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari 430, Ferrari 575M, Aston Martin DB9, Bentley GT Continental, Porsche 997 GT3, Porsche Cayman S, Audi RS4 Avant, Lotus Exige, Hummer H2, and a Ducati 1098 and BMW K1200 for bikers. Packages give customers a bank of points to use through the year. As is befitting the cost, the company offers a range of services. They drop off the cars anywhere they are required and can store and wash the customer's personal car. “It's as much about the car as it is about the service,” Ward says . “It's whatever suits our customers.” - Herald Sun :P
