  1. Must have been the week for it...I was in a rush and half asleep and bolted to work...in the morning.... at 6.00pm I noticed I was wearing different coloured shoes (one red and one black) NO ONE noticed all day, and I didn't realise until I was getting out of the car and I dropped something, when I looked down...different shoes! *slaps head* I was very embarrassed! HOWEVER that's nothing on what my friend did....he put oil in his car, forgot to put the oil filler cap back on, and noticed it three days later...so today I stole his car, put on a new oil filler cap on, used 5 cans on degreaser on his engine bay, topped up the oil, and I washed his car. Lesley :) I forgot to add, his car is a corolla too, and when I rang my parts shop, they were laughing and saying "it was you wasn't it?", I'm not sure they believed me......

  13. it wasn't the lid that was a problem, the base of it developed a hole :)
  14. OMG!... today I was driving along and my LARGE subway cup, which I was drinking out of at the time, started leaking...not a slow leak either...it was raining and I had the window up, so I was madly trying to not get the interior wet, put the window down, change into second and take a corner so I could get off the main road.... I got most of it in my lap, steering wheel, and on the inside of the door, and on the outside of the door, and aarrgghhh! I managed to stop and hold it out of the window, turn off the car, undo my seatbelt, get out of the car pour the remainder out.... but the really lucky bit is yesterday I semi-cleaned the car and I still had all my clean cleaning cloths and a brand new microfibre chamois and managed to get most of it cleaned up...however, I spent an uncomfortable ride home with soggy jeans...it's really quite an unpleasant feeling..... off to get the seat steam cleaned tomorrow...
  15. very niiiicccceee :) nope, it needs a wing... otherwise it looks like a cockroach..... oh, did it come with the cases for the targa??? you know when you take them off and put them behind the seats, they come with covers... oooohhhh, be careful taking them off in summer, they get fricken hot and burn your fingers, and you want to drop it like a hot potato, but ya can't......
  16. it's near port elliot, on the victor road, it's finished now.... I couldn't believe it either....so I rang the builder and asked what happened to it.... you know what he told me? "it's supposed to look like that".... OMG! I have to go to Victor in the next week or so, I'll take a picture and post it. It settled a bet, and cured my curiosity :bash:
  17. I love my doggie, and I'm in complete agreement with you 7shades :S in my OMG what happend today...I just remembered that about a week ago, I saw a ferrari like the one in the photo up there ^^^^ broken down...I couldn't help myself...I had to laugh... evil I know... :D
  18. pics are up at topgear photography...
  19. I prefer synthetic oil, when my car was serviced at Toyota, they put that it, not the ordinary 20/50 that goes in other cars...
  20. we have a 3SGE BEAMS Red Top conversion... we've had it about 8 years and it's been a joy :bash: she's needing some work though.. I keep spending too much money on the rolla and the deux isn't getting the attention it deserves...
  21. we have one, and we love it... BUT you have to check the seals arount the targa and the windows, if they leak it's a bit of a pain in the arse to get them... check the drivers wing on the seat, sometimes that's worn, check the lights go up and down, check the shroud under the front bonnet isn't damaged (bitch to find another one) and for more info, go here: http://www.mr2club.com.au/ there's a web based forum, that links from there, and I believe an online edition of TEN/10th's which is the club magazine... the boot although is small, will fit your shopping and general stuff, they're an absolute BLAST to own, they stick to the road like you wouldn't believe and handle beautifully.... good luck with your purchase :bash: Lesley :)
  22. awww that's sooooo pretty!!!!
  23. This is a kind of serious vent/rant.... for those of you that don't have heath insurance or ambulance cover (usually ambulance cover is included in health insurance)..... I understand that not everyone can afford health insurance, but for about $40 a year you can get ambulance cover (and save yourself a $600 ride in an ambulance). Here's the thing.... late last year, my friend had an asthma attack and had to go to hospital in an ambulance. He didn't have ambulance cover or heath insurance.. fair enough, he couldn't afford it. I mentioned that for a measly $40 a year he could at least protect himself if it ever happened again... we never spoke about it further... Today, he had a non-motorsport-related accident had to go to hospital in an ambulance and has spent the last 7 hours in surgery...whilst paynig the bills is the last thing on his mind, eventually he'll have to pay...I hate to think what his hospital bills are going to be, and being off for the next 3-6 months with no income is going to suck big time, and make a difficult situation more so.... think about getting health insurance, or at the very least ambulance cover, when the worst happens, at least you'll have some peace of mind.....when you're injured and can't work, the bills don't stop coming.....and you have the added cost of recovery.... Yes, if you're in a motor accident the ambulance is free...I won't debate that.... just THINK about getting insurance if you don't already have it...you have to take care of yourself! end of vent/rant... here's some links: http://www.saambulance.com.au/publicweb/products-amb.html http://www.nib.com.au/ http://www.mutualcommunity.com.au/public_i.../home/index.htm Lesley
