Well I had today off, the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, so I thought, hmmm I haven't given the car a really good clean for a while (actually a week)... so I spent the last 5 and a half hours washing, waxing (and polishing shiny bits on the car,) I'm completely knackered, but she looks GORGEOUS!!!!!! I've decided tomorrow I'll do the engine bay, the wheels and do the exhaust properly (cause I was a bit slack towards the end of the day) and then I'll take a squillion photo's - once I remember where I put the camera.... :D *goddamn it I forgot to take a BEFORE photo....* ahhhh I think I'll pour myself a drink and go sit outside and drool over admire my car..... oh, and next Tuesday I get my new number plates :hmm: Lesley :P

OH NO!!!!! I hope you get the car back, and I hope the **&*%* bastards get what's coming to them... keep us posted... a similar thing happened to a guy here in adelaide, they broke into his house and randsacked it, stole the keys and his wallet (among other things) then they rolled the car down the street and took off (his car was an R33 Skyline) it got found a week later by a member of a car forum who had seen that it was stolen.... post it up on as many sites as possible... Lesley :D

Lots Of Swearing - Toyota
SoulSearcher replied to SoulSearcher's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
oh, NO, NO. NO, my TURBO IS FINE :lolcry: there was something else that was being replaced, maybe the conrod? but I couldn't remember what it was called, so I substituted the part I couldn't remember for "turbo". I know that I have been WAY lucky to get what I have from Toyota, and I am genuinely appreciative for what they've done, BUT that aside, I was shocked that they could do that...I asked specifically about if the part was faulty and they said it still expires when my warranty does. That's like me in my shop selling a computer to someone on 16 February, with 12 month warranty, and on the 20 January their video card faults and needs to be replaced, hey, that's fine, we'll put a new one in for you, but your warranty STILL expires on 16 February. That part if sold separately would have a 12 month warranty, but because their computer runs out of warranty on 16 Feb that's when the card expires... My customers would have a cow! I guess my point is they could put any dodgey part in, it could be made of cardboard for all I know, and for them, it just has to hold together for 200k's then it's no longer their problem. I guess my major concerns are that the turbo has only been running for less than 10,000, the new engine for 20,000 they're still new yet as soon as I hit 100,000klms they're no longer covered...I love my car and I'm compulsive about it being right (they told me the reason my tint was scratching - only since the paint shop took my doors apart for painting mind you - was because my car was dirty - I was horrified that they were telling me that there were bits of my car that were dirty!) I'm going to make a couple of calls on Monday to see exactly where I stand, but it doesn't seem fair or right. Lesley -
I'm absolutely pissed off, majorly effin ****ed off.... get this: my warranty expires at 100,000klms (which is in approximately 200klms, which is approximately 3 days) the warranty work that they're doing today (can't remember what it is, but just SAY it is ummm the turbo), right so just say the turbo was replaced under warranty today, well, if it faulted say, next week, AFTER I'd reached 100,000klms, it's not covered.... BUT if my warranty was expired, and my turbo faulted, and I put a new one on, THEN I'd get 12 months warranty on it... how friggen dodgey is that! So here I am thinking I have 12 months warranty on my engine and the turbo and the rest of the stuff that's recently been repaired/replaced...but apparently that's not the case..... it all expires at 100,000klms. I'm not amused.... Lesley

REAPER, R E A P E R sorry, can you write that down please? yes, REAPER... you want the plates REAPER? yes, WHY?! uh, they're a present for my husband. ..... oh .... why? well, it's for his new car... hmmmm I'll check.... *clickety clackity* no they're not available... oh :( what are they on, just out of curiosity... a Dodge Hearse LMAO! when will they be available? *clickety clackity* oh, they're expired, have been for around a year... oh, does that mean I can have them? you REALLY want them? YES!!!! ok, .... ***then I realised the only car that was registered in my name was the old laser which we were getting rid of because we'd both bought new cars, so for 2 months my laser had REAPER plates on it :) bwaa haaa*** it's so much easier to do it online :lolcry: Lesley :D
