oh, yeah they put 7" monitors in each corner of the front and rear bumpers, they put piano keys in the seats (which came from a mercedes I think) they also put a woodgrain dash in it and sprayed it silver and red, oh they also put those sparkly "star" lights in the ceiling and voice activated LCD's in the boot and...ummmm....oh, an old style mike in the boot :wink:

I went to Toyota and told them what I wanted to do and they said as long as the vacuum hose from the PCV valve is plumbed back in then it will be fine (emissions) and my warranty won't be void because I'm not actually increasing the performance of the engine (even though technically I am). So in about a month it will be done, I'll post up before and after pics :wink: Lesley :no2:

yesterday, I saw a white KE70 (4 door sedan and it had something that looked like balloons - or like a mechanics rolling thingo in the back seat) coming down from the hills, I was behind them along Portrush and then up a back street up to Greenhill Road, they had their lights on, so both their tail-lights were lit, but when they put their foot on the brake, the left hand brake light lit up and everything else went dark...I couldn't get beside them to let them know, so if anyone knows this car, could you let them know they have a fault in their taillights.. oh, and I also saw 4 AE82's :P a worked red one, two white ones and well maybe I only saw three... :D

well this is my most informed spotted yet :P I remembered the post with pictures!!!! Today I saw: a white AE101 Levin - quite tidy (on greenhill road) a horribly coloured green KE11 Possibly a KE10 (somewhere near grange road - on a side street about the third time I've seen it but didn't know which model it was!) a white KE20 in Bridgewater - not sure if it's for sale or not, I was kinda going to fast - 2nd time I've seen it there... and a beige - I think it was a KE28 in the city, on south terrace :D Lesley

So for the last couple of weeks I've been gathering parts for the air intake piping and unfortunately, the diameter on the turbo was too small for the fabulous new SFS Racing silicone hosing in red (good upto 20psi!!!) that I got (2 x 90 and 2 lots of straights plus groovy hose clamps) so I went to Toyota to see if they had a genuine part..... Toyota Spare Parts department: "yes we do" Me: Great! How much is it going to cost me? Toyota Spare Parts department: $920.00 Me: WHAT!!! 920 dollars, are you insane?! 920 dollars.... Toyota Spare Parts department: yeah, you don't want it do you? me: uhhh no..... So off to Auto Sport Engineering, and for a measly $800ish bucks, they're going to totally modify the air intake and relocate bits :bash: Back to Toyota "so if I do this: *gestures with hands whilst trying to explain* will it void my warranty? Toyota Service Manager: no. So in the next month I'll be having the modifications done and will have more ooommmppphhhh, better directed air flow and shiny bits in my engine bay, and ALL cheaper than a genuine toyota hose! I'll get pics and post it up when it's all done :cool: Lesley :y:
