The Fastest Car Youve Been In?
SoulSearcher replied to LittleRedSpirit's topic in Automotive Discussion
OK, I've Driven a Maserati Quattroporte 8cyl Twin Turbo (that was fun - and fast and a little bit scary) and I've been in (but not driven) a 1957 Lotus 12 (chassis 353), ex race car of Graham Hill, a Porche 944, a Ford GT40 (you know the one with the shell) um and a Skyline R34 I think it was (it's the yellow one that's been at SCS and a couple of other car shows here in adelaide and also at the summernats and of course some maniac MR2's. Lesley :P -
mine is alot firmer in the front end, but then my suspension has been modified too :P
-
hiya, They offered to extend mine for another three years becuase I take such good care of my car ... plus they want my money :D but after them paying for a new engine and turbo, I'm more than happy to have it extended ... they'll EVEN replace the door rubbers!!!! Lesley :)

my comprehensive insurance covers my daughter (well any of my children under 25 I think) free defensive driving courses, and once they've done them they offer an insurance discount for life for them... way to go AAMI :D  -
I'm in the same boat as terminal, until my warranty runs out (2010) I can't do any major mods...

if your needles are clear and glow green when they're on, then you may not be able to see them against the white and when they're turned on the green will more than likely clash with the green, purple or blue of the guages... If you can change the needle's from a green light to a red light then you'd be able to see it at night time, if you do that it doesn't change the daytime look, but maybe you could paint the tips of the needles red (or what ever) then you'd be able to see the difference..... ;)

ok, I took some photo's (they actually look crap, but oh well), the first one is with the flash on (this is what they look like in the day time) the others are the night time ones.... (blue, purple)... I tried to fiddle with the brightness, kind of worked.... Hope this helps... Lesley ;)

I've never used the machine, never will...the next polish I'm going to try is Meguires Tech wax (on the rolla) but the MR2 is looking quite sad, I was going to do it tomorrow (if I get all my work done today) but I'm not looking foward to my arms falling off from the exertion! I will absolutely post before and after pics because anything will be an improvement to the duco on the 2:) ;)

skirmaish! I LOVE skirmish!!! I took my youngest daughter to indoor laser skirmish (at Gepps Cross - just near the drive in) for her birthday party a couple of years ago... it was fun!!! running around wearing kind of body armour.... ;) then for my staff christmas party we did outdoor laser skirmish (at night time) at woodhouse (piccadilly) - it was fun, but to get a kill, you have to aim about 3 feet above the persons head, which I had great difficulty doing!! oh, and falling over trees and into holes, but it was still fun!! Lesley :P -
hiya Scott! That's a really tidy car! It's good that it was saved from the scrap yard! If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you?! You'll have to keep everyone updated as you do your mods!!! Lesley ;)
-
so when you guys are doing the polishing, are you doing it by hand or with a machine???

I had a ball! The cruise was fabbo (except the stop on the DUSTY bit!!!) ;) and the movies were fun!!! So I give you a 10/10 Raven :P Well done! Lesley :y: -
Hiya! In our MR2 we got the indiglo guages. They're white in day time/when you don't have your lights on, and they go from green, blue to purple, we like them on blue and haven't changed them. I got them for Hubby for his birthday a couple of years ago and back then they cost $360 installed at Emtech here in Adelaide. I think they look SWEET! Lesley ;) PS: I'll take pics tomorrow

I like meguires mag wheel cleaner (the one in the pink bottle), meguires metal polish (and pretty much all of meguires other products!!). Can't get by without a GOOD QUALITY chamois! ummm I'll be cleaning my car again next week, I'll take photos!!! Lesley ;)

will the battery from my car fit your car flippen crazy? Cause I think I'm getting a new battery tomorrow (after my embarrasing flat battery incident) it's starting and running and everything's fine, if it fits, I'll keep it and you can have it.... I spoke to the RAA man and he said it needs an overnight charge and everything will be fine, but I've had NO problems with it since last weekend...it should get you by for a couple of weeks/months shouldn't it??? ....(I don't know alot about batteries)... Lesley ;) -

I did some phoning around...insurance is about $60 less per year than my car ($559) for rego, it's classed as a 6 cyl, so rego is I think about $660 a year....I'm going to have a sneak peek at one today or tomorrow.... :P -

There's no way I can afford one now... but perhaps (in 4 years) when I insist on hubby getting a "real" family car, ie the supercharged TRD Aurion to carry the midget kids around in, I can say, since you're getting a new car, "the rolla's been great, but I think it's time I get that little Ford Focus :P Lesley :hmm:
