hmmm I agree however I don't think that's going to happen. but wait there's more... my alarm doesn't beep and flash the indicators like it used to, when I'm driving my red light from my alarm keeps flashing (weird in the night time). the fuse for my stereo was pulled out and the clock and the stereo weren't working (but putting the fuse back in - which was in the centre console -) it worked He returned it to me empty (when he took it, it was full) Oh, and I asked him to leave the magnets which advertise our new business on the car, he said fine - and then took them off!! So I'm wondering if I should send a note to him asking "what happened to my car?" Am I over-reacting?! I'm just feeling really, really well USED! :) -

Thank you!!! -
Heya, Well I lent my old car to a friend for a little while (2 weeks this time and about 6 weeks the other time) and both times I got the car back there have been dent's and or scratches etc., etc., I didn't have an understanding with my friend ie. "if you damage the car you will have to pay for the repairs" and this time when I got it back there was some damage to the rear bumper, a dent in the rear 1/4 panel and a scratch in the front left. :) I want to sell the car, but I don't want to sell it in its current state (its a 97 Nissan Bluebird). Anyhoo, it's white and I wondered if anyone could direct me to a reputable person who could fix up the car for, lets say under 500 bucks (ish) and do a good job?? I don't want to do ANY of the prep work I just want to give it to them and get it back looking good. I'm in the Adelaide Hills but I'm happy to travel and they can have the car for as long as they want. Lesley :( PS: I recall asking something like this previously, but I couldn't find the thread.... sorry

my car goes in on Monday and I should hae it back on Tuesday afternoon :) YAY!!!! Lesley :(
-
my old, old car didn't have remote entry and for about 400 bucks Tektronics ?! (sorry has a brain fart and can't remember if that's their name) put in an immobiliser and remote entry. It was awesome!!! Lesley :)
-
hey, I have a 2001 AE112R Sportivo and it has keyless entry. One of my staff just bought a 2001 Corolla sedan and his doesn't have keyless entry OR electric windows...and his stud patterns the same as mine. Lesley :y:

hmmm I used the virtual wheel thing at bob janes...and my original choice looked yukky on my car :) THEN i realised I could have done it online and saved myself a trip there... have you seen this: http://www.bobjane.com.au/Wheels/VirtualWheels.asp they don't have anything prior to 1986 so it sucks a bit (for you guys with earlier models), BUT it's handy to see what your car looks like with the wheels you've selected, and now I've changed my mind!!!! THe RJR Circuits are the one's I currently like..... I can't find a picture BUT, if you've time to waste hop on to the above link, click on Toyota Corolla 01 hatch and they're there. Lesley :jamie:

Do you know I will have owned the car for a year on 3rd January 07?! I just got my insurance renewal!!! I can't believe it's been a year... Oh, I popped into Toyota today, they're having the car on Monday and Tuesday next week for the hatch to be resprayed and they also checked out the temporary catch can they put in (to check for oil leaks) and it was bone dry. It's been running like a dream, sounds pssshhhttty (the good way not the shhh way :jamie: ) and next week I'll have the paint done, the new windscreen done, hopefully the re-tint and then the mags some time over christmas. So I can see the light at the end of the tunnel FINALLY!!!! Lesley :)
-
WOW that's fantastic!!! I'm continually amazed at peoples resourcefulness and abilities. well done! Lesley :jamie:
-
You mean the the "copies" cost that much or the original's cost that much??? :jamie: I don't know how you get figures like that because my two pics are available in 17"s and a complete set (5 of them, includes one for the spare) with new yoki's (the ones I currently buy which cost me $210 a corner) is only $2300, fitted, balanced and aligned. Lesley
-
those don't excite me either...I do however like the blades and adrenalins, but they're being discontinued and I won't be able to get them :) Lesley :jamie:
-
Well I went and got my new Yoki's yesterday. I REALLY shouldn't be allowed out to a mag shop... :jamie: I saw some new mags and spoke to the guy about going up to 17"s it's possible so I'm going to do it :) So what do you think....personally I REALLY like the first one or Lesley :y:
-
ROCK N get it? Rock N Rolla??? I told hubby and he just looked at me and said "that is sooooo stupid" But I thought it sounded cool :jamie: I was listening to Def Leppard's "Rock on" at the time, perhaps I did have a brain fart, but I've been thinking about it for a couple of days and keep coming back to that.... What do you guys think?? Lesley :)
-
hmm my old engine used to do that...I figured with the new engine it wouldn't but lo and behold it still does it. So with a WHOLE new engine and turbo set-up, plus with it being tuned super regularly and well maintained, could mine be the MAP sensor??? Lesley
-
Yep, only the 2nd one. There's one in Strath (that I know of but haven't actually seen) the one I saw yesterday and one that was for sale on South Road.
-
Today I saw another Sportivo !!!!!! OMG - that's only the 2nd one I've seen, It was lowered and had yummy mags  AND I was having a bit of zoom zoom pssshht moment and there was a red KE30 keeping up, no stickers or anything discernable that I could see. Lesley :)
-
Hey Raven, Yep that was me  Saw (from a didstance) Lee, and Craig(?) with a rolla at SCS Lesley :)

oh, they're fixing it all right, next week (probably on Wednesday) it's going in to get the entire hatch panel repainted at their expense. It's just a complete shit that it happened TWO days before SCS!!! I had all the paperwork completed and in the car ready to drive down to submit it on Friday and then that happened. The reason it was off? Last week (the 2nd to last time I got it back) I washed it and when I was chamois-ing the rear window, I lifted up the wiper and it fell off in my hand, the pin thingo had broken and it was just resting on the glass. So when it went in for the new turbo I asked them to fix it. They did but put it back on wrong. The new wiper blade is mangled too so I'll ask Howard (my toyota guy) to get them to replace that too. The really, really SUCKY thing is, the Service MANAGER didn't know ANYTHING about my car, he asked me stupid questions like, "oh, how many of these things are there??" It's a frickin' limited edition for craps sake!! and THEN he said "Oh, well at least you got a new engine and turbo, it's almost like new!!" I mean REALLY! Except for the f@$ked up paintwork!! I'm just really embarrassed that I cried in the dealership because I couldn't put my car in to be judged at SCS. I can't believe how upset I was...when I got back to work I burst into tears again and my tech (who's never seen me upset) didn't know what to do with me, I think me crying scared him more than me being outrageously mad. Anyway these things happen and I'm almost over it. I'll just be glad when there's no problems. Lesley *end of vent*

well I'm attending as a spectator with my daughter (she likes cars too!!) so I'll pop by the display around 2pm ish Lesley :hmm:
-
*sob* I got my car back yesterday, some knob-head bastard *(&*(%&*%(^ put my rear windscreen on horizontally instead of vertically and when I turned it on it scratched (badly) the paint on my hatch. When I went back to Toyota I cried at them. I've been working on the car for 4 months getting the car ready for SCS and now I can't put it in ... :hmm: I'm not a happy camper Lesley :)
-
well, unfortunately I'm out...refer to my other topic "resolved and under warranty too" http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...=9793&st=30 :hmm:
