    Hi

    Hello from South Australia :D
  12. ok, AIR is closed, so a cruise it is...... Ummm night time hills runs aren't good, especially if it rains, BUT how about a cruise from Say BUNNINGS at MILE END meet at 8.30pm and we'll head out reynella way and then double back via Marion, then to Glenelg, then down Anzac Highway, through the city, down hindley street, then via North Adelaide down to the port and then back to the city??? I reckon we'll be done by about midnight. What do we think? That's just off the top of my head so let me know if it's too long, too short, covering too much, or if if I'm not supposed to be organising it (I don't wanna step on toes). I'll also do a check and see if INFMS and TOYMODS are doing a cruise that maybe we can hook up with. We'll also have a ring in MR2 - Steve wants to come too. Lesley :)
  13. okey dokes, since no one offered advice, I got in contact with a tyre place (one that know's me and does me good deals) and I went with Yokies, Yokahama's the directional tyres that are FABULOUS!!!! Well they'd wanna be for $210 a corner! They're quiet, handle very well, and do just want I wanted them to do... go round and round :) Lesley
  14. Hurro!!! In two Saturday night's time...let me consult my calendar....27th May I would like to go on a night cruise if possible, my friends son (who is into cars, especially AE86's) wants to go for a night time cruise and check out the night life, so I told him I'd take him, I'm thinking about 10pm ish ..... AND I also need to find out about AIR I'd like to take him there to, I think he'd pee his pants from excitement (never having been before) it's on Tuesday nights isn't it??? So, who's in or can hook me up with another club that I'd be welcome to tag along with??? Lesley :)
  15. Hey, I see that Bianca's car is on ebay.... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1986-AW11-TOYOTA-MR...1QQcmdZViewItem are you guys selling it or someone else??? Hope you're well on your way to recovery Bianca. Lesley :)
  16. Hello Hello :) OK after getting a flat tonight on the way home (via friends house) I had a good look at the flat and it's in major shitty condition (I'm thinking from when the wheel nuts were loose it must have been banging around hitting everything in it's path cause quite frankly, it's a mess). Lucky the police didn't decide to check out my tyres the other night!! WELL, since I'm a complete lead foot and always seem to screech when I take off...(not on purpose, I PROMISE!). I've decided I need something with some grip so instead of wheel spin I get catapulted across intersections as it's a FWD sling shot sounds more like it.. Any ideas??? I've got 16's on it so super low profile tyres, but I need something that's also good in the wet, will hang onto the road as I chuck the car around corners and will rapidly slow me down when I hit the brakes.... I don't want anything too soft cause I don't want to have to replace them anytime in the next 6 months, Unless of course I'm wearing heels a lot and spinning all over the place.... Lesley :)
  17. looky here, you! In my diary it said it was a public holiday....I didn't know that it was changed....what's really funny is that we were looking forward to having a day off and one of our customers told us it wasn't a public holiday....we felt terribly ripped off!!!! So I double checked and no public holiday :) Lesley :)
  18. Part three of the story..... Tonight on the way to dropping off my friend Sandy home I got a flat tire on the freeway (I think she's jinxed!!). Bloody hell my car's low!!!! Well got it changed, a galant young man asked if I needed help, and I let him (even though I CAN do it myself!!!). I drove into Mount Barker and went to the servo to check the air in the spare and .... a police car drove in, well I pointed and started laughing *LOL* I said I SWEAR I'm not trying to avoid you.... I got a stony faced look.... (they obviously didn't hear me) well after I checked the air I walked up to the policeman and said "I'm sorry I wasn't laughing at you it's just a coincidence that you're here, you see the other night I got pulled over.... and then last night I waved at a police man" he said "I know, I was there when you got pulled over and that was me that you were waving to", and I said "oh, so you know what I was laughing about then," and walked back to the car with a stupid grin on my face. I saw in my dash that I had an uneaten hot apple pie (which was cold - I got it earlier in the day) .... me having a warped sense of humour grabbed it and went into the petrol station and tapped the policeman on the arm and said "I thought you'd get a kick out of this" and showed him the hot apple pie .... he killed himself laughing!!! I waved and said goodbye and off I went.... *you just gotta laugh sometimes* Lesley :)
  19. OK, I've just discovered that it ISNT a public holiday, we got this hol in march for some stupid reason....so looks like work on monday, and no cruising..... Lesley
  20. So what are we doing??!!! I think a cruise is in order...... Lesley :)
  21. Also, if you have Microsoft Word there are templates to help with layout ..... Lesley :)
  22. yes, I did have to work today, but luckily, owning your own business and having a hubby that will open up for me (even when it's my turn) is a blessing, I rocked up at about 3.30pm :). I've just got home (It's 4.45am) and I'm supposed to be opening up at 10.00am debating whether to stay up or not....have to do some washing and some house work.... hmmm may see how I go.... But part 2 of the story, tonight when I was dropping my friend Sandy home (at around 3.30am), we saw where the police car hides, so I slowed down, wound down my window and waved....he waved back :) LMAO! Lesley :)
  23. Picked up the rolla yesterday, OMG they did a fantastic job, AND they detailed it inside and out :) what champs! So I went cruising EVERYWHERE!!!!! At about 3.00am this morning, I was taking my friend home, she lives at Mt Barker and we were discussing what we really felt like... hot apple pies from McDonalds mmmmmm. I took the Mt Barker Exit and jokingly said shall we see if we can get the car sideways around this corner?! Ahhh no, that car's probably an undercover cop car.... but I did take it up to 5 grand to make it go pssssshhhhttt! I was in a great mood!!! McDonalds Hot Apple Pie....mmmmmmm I told her I'd happily drive to town to get them (about a 70-80klm round trip) at the Macca's that's open 24 hours a day, well she was faffing about, undecided, (to get to her house I need to be in the outside lane - remember this) and I was saying I'm fine driving there, really, I got my car back today and I'm enjoying the driving!) so she said right, APPLE PIE!!!! So I changed lanes and chucked a left to go around the block and head back down to town.... well I was sitting at the traffic lights, waiting for them to go green and I looked in my rear view mirror and there's a police car there, then another police car came around the corner actually peered into my car and did a u bolt. I said, "ooohhh they're out catching baddies tonight LOL". So the lights went green and off I go (sedately) and on the inside lane and the police cars (yes two of them) are still behind me. I was thinking "oh crap I hope they don't go on the freeway otherwise I'll have to behave myself...well, on came their lights....I GOT PULLED OVER (first time in about 10 years!!!) by TWO POLICE CARS!!!! I indicated and pulled over and sat there saying to my friend, I wonder if they saw me on the freeway (I was speeding a teensy bit) hang on there wasn't anyone about, I didn't do anything that they could have seen!!!!! Do I get out of the car?! Do I stay in the car??! Well I wound down my window, and they didn't approach, so I thought I'd get out.... I walked up to them and said "he-llo? ........... Ummm why did you pull me over???" as in a nervous WTF!? and the police man said, "we pulled you over because of your driving manouvre" me thinks (the one where I was speeding to get the car to go psssshhhttt?!) so I said "which one???" he said "the one where you drove around the block" (OOOKKKKK?!?!?!?!) Were you tring you avoid us?". And I said, ohhhhh no!, and explained about the McDonals Apple Pie. Meanwile the other police men (there were three of them) one had a baton in HIS HAND!, one was obviously checking my registration and the third one I had no idea what he was doing but it sounded crinkly.... they asked for my licence, so I went and got it and the crinkly policeman came up to me....I said "I'm getting breath tested AS WELL?!?!?! - COOL!" I think they thought about this time that I was a complete idiot, well who cares. I blew 0.0000 and they said that "that was no fun"! So there I am, standing there, having a good explanation of why I drove around a block, been breath tested, they've checked my licence and registration....and I'm still standing there.... so I said, ummm is that all, can I go now?! They said oh sure! So I got back into the car killing myself laughing and told my girlfriend who was kinda in shock, not driving and never been pulled over before LMAO!!! Then she started laughing because when I originally drove into Mt Barker I joked about the undercover cop car.... So we got to town got out hot apple pies....and guess what....the city Maccas starts serving breakfast from 4.00am....I love their egg and bacon McMuffins, so we got our apple pies, and went cruising until 4am and got breakfast at maccas.... I ended up getting home at 5.00am this morning, but gosh what a night! Lesley :) *pssshhhttting all over the hills*
  24. DO IT!!! But what will you do with out the net??!!!! :)
  25. Heh heh heh..... we own a computer shop, let me ask the tech guy (hubby) OK answer: It's the CMOS/BIOS battery, they cost about $10.00 depending on your machine, labour cost would be about $60.00. Toshiba's are a bit of a cow to get to, so you're looking at about $70.00 all up to fix it. If it's under warranty (check because some brands have a two year warranty) it would be repairable under warranty. Lesley :) the one with no life :)
