  1. I hit a roo in my "Laser" (get the inverted comma's? Think Dr Evil!). I was driving from Sydney to Adelaide with my brother, we were playing the alphabet game (a apple, b banana etc., etc.,) and it was my turn, I was on "O" I was doing 130klm the roo jumped out of no where, well out of the bushes on the side of the road) one hop and it was in front of me, I said "O F*ck!" my brother said "that doesn't count!!! - thinking of the game) and smack! hit the roo, it sort of half moved towards the front windscreen with one big eye looking straight at me then the impact flung it forward. I then ran it over. The whole trip my brother had said "what do you do if you see a roo? Nothing! you've got comprehensive insurance!!! mwaahaa mwahhaaa" Tried to flag down a few cars and the bastards wouldn't stop. Managed to limp into the next town (about 400 meters around the corner - thank goodness!) the mechanic put engine stop leak in the radiator, his dog licked off roo bits, he taped up my bumper and I drove the rest of the way to Adelaide like that (about 5 hours) I then drove the car like that for about 3 weeks!!! HMMM happy trip :)
  2. Well due to time constraints (working from 10am until 4am most days now we have the shop) I never got around to taking photo's :) BUT I get broomdee back tomorrow!!!! YIPEEEEEE!!! I have tomorrow off, well sort of, I have appointments and have some other shop stuff to do, but I'll be cruising in the rolla tomorrow!!!!! Happy Lesley :)
  3. Sundays are my day off, I officially have no life now that we've got the shop, and haven't driven my car since god....ummmm about 6 weeks (I mean a decent fang) I've got the need, the need for speed..... (get broomdy back tomorrow - YIPPEEE) then off to toyota about the engine stuff...so I'm in!!!!!!!
  4. sounds like you're driving on a DYNO...
  5. I keep seeing a Red rolla like Rolla-4? or it could be him :P between stirling an aldgate, he fangs it around the bends, I kept up with him in the 2 but in the rolla, I'm still not a fan (of corners in my FWD). *funny story* drove the rolla (after not driving it for about a week) and I was wearing heels, I felt like a complete spaz, I was spinning the wheels (not on purpose) my gear changes were crap the list goes on...I chucked my shoes in the back, and no more probs! Flatties for me in the rolla from now on ;) *end of funny story*
  6. why don't you just go to Emtech?? They do the indiglo gauges and fit them for $350 (we had them done on the MR2. They're white faced and you can change the colour from green to purple and all colours in between.....
  7. The guy wanted money for the engine after 11 years?! Tosser! Good on the cop for talking him out of it, you could always offer him $1.00 as a gesture of good will..... LOL Lesley :P
  8. LOL Knives and Forks!!! D'oh! OH you know what the rattle was??? The bloody crash repairers had to take off my front Left wheel and they only finger tightened up the bolts. There was only one that was on tight, the others had almost all fallen off. B*stards! So chain of events. Lesley parks car worried about noise, takes bluebee out and doesn't put rolla into the garage because of the noise, (I thought it may need towing) then a couple of days later notices that the rolla had been attacked. IF ONLY THEY HAD HAVE TIGHTENED THE BOLTS NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!!! Arrrggghhhttt!!!!
  9. ok Teddy, I have the solution for you :P Scan in what ever, 1200, 600 dpi. once scanned, insert the picture (using the insert, picture from file) in WORD then resize the image to the exact size in CM that you want by right clicking the picture and going to properties :) Voila! you picture is the exact size you want it, and you have a good resolution. Then print and it's PERFECT! If you have any questions, PM me or ring me (if you don't have my number email me, I think you have my email address). Lesley :)
  10. No idea who did it, but it WAS on purpose, there is no way it could have happened accidentally. I've not taken pics yet, but will soon and post them up, I guess it doesn't look as bad as I first thought, but my heart stopped when I saw the mirror and all the broken bits, I raced over to the car and checked that the windows were all in tact, and that my stereo, amp and speakers were still in it, PHEW they were.... but still, little b*stards I hope that karma catches up with them. Lesley
  11. I'm *extremely* ticked off. I picked my car up from the repairers I think last week (from my little accident that we won't speak of) and I picked up my daughter from school and drove home. Needing the bigger car to move some stuff to our new shop, I parked my beloved Corolla on the side of the road across from our home. One trip in the bluebee turned into many (three days worth) because I won't put stuff in the boot of the rolla cause I don't want to damage my speakers or my amp. Well I noticed on Sunday night (last week) that some shit headed bastard mother f*cker had chucked dinner plates *yes, dinner plates!* at my car, how do I know they were dinner plates? They're all over the road and around my car. There is no way this was an accident. They smashed the drivers side mirror, and dented/scratched the drivers side door and the front panel over the wheel arch. So now it has to go BACK to the friggin repairers! NOT HAPPY JAN! Then, to make matters worse, I decided to take it for a drive anyway and I now have a rattle and shake from the front end, I'm hoping it's the exhaust that's fallen off the holders but it may be clutch related. So more time without my baby. I'll post pics tomorrow :lmao: Lesley
  12. schmick! I like it :lmao:
  13. My memorble rolla experience...well I have two... I had just got my P plates and my friends and I were going out clubbing, I was designated driver and had my car for about 3 months...we were driving through the hills and my girlfriends were in the back seat drinking red wine. A rabbit hopped out onto the road and I hit the brakes and the interior was covered in red wine, the bunny was dead and I was in shock, my new sheep skin seat covers had red wine stains in them.... 2nd memorable experience... I was driving around the glenelg strip, and doing burn-outs *tee hee* and my friend and I decided to have a few drags, we beat a guy and he wasn't too happy about being whooped by chicks and he started to chase us. We were speeding in and out of the side streets of Glenelg and he was hot on our tail (we were now shitting our selves, we were so scared) we flew down a couple of streets and there was a bit of distance so we flew around a corner (felt like on two wheels) and lost him momentarily, I sped into someones driveway, we turned off the lights and hid, he went screaming down the road, I reversed out of the drive way to head off in the other direction and half ripped my bumper bar off. We went home, quite relieved. The next morning my dad said "hey what happened to your bumper?" and I said "I don't know, it must have happened in the supermarket car park" Later that day, my Dad replaced my bumper :P Ahhh mewmories of being young and stupid. Lesley :P

  17. :P I miss my broomdee it's still at the repairers, I got all excited when they said it was ready, and I got there and the bumper was mis-alighned, the paint wasn't colour matched and was NOTICEABLE! AND the boot thingo, shroud was damaged (it was supposed to be replaced!). I went in and refused to pick it up until it was fixed PROPERLY. So now I have more waiting to do. and I miss driving my rolla... ho hum....

  23. Howdy, We'll in about 2 weeks we're opening up our new shop :D It's Aldgate Computers in the Adelaide Hills and we'll be having a LAN area (only 12 computers on a closed network for now). We've put in a heap of time and energy, so if you want computer stuff (we can ship) contact us!!!! We're having a web page done soon with some of our stock listed and a check-out facility. One of the things I need at the moment is a font, preferably a .ttf but it's called BIG LIMBO I can't find one free to download off the net, I've tried limewire, but can't find it. If anyone has it, or knows where I can get it for fwee could you please let me know?? Thank you Lesley ;)
