have you made a report with the police??? Because you know that you can claim all your hospital expenses through the compulsory third party insurance that we ALL have to pay as part of our registration. If you have the man charged, you'll have an incident report and you're covered. if you haven't already, make a report with the police. Lesley

Howdy! REDLINE gearbox oil is a miracle cure for grinding gearboxes. A couple of the guys on the MR2 forum have used it with great success. One guy was contemplating replacing his gearbox, thought he'd try the REDLINE gearbox oil and it was a smooth as new! Lesley :lolcry:

holy crap! I'm glad you're ok, but jeezzz what an idiot, how can he NOT see a person, then run them over and still not wonder what the noise is (person on bonnet screaming) and then drive off?!!!>! Have they NO CLUE! Thank goodness you're ok. Lesley :lolcry:

yep. I know how you feel, I've done that, but luckily no damage, the grinding noise I hear when parking is the front tow clip, I'm so worried about actually doing damage I park about 2 feet back LOL ....HOWEVER... a while ago (twice in the last 3 months) I've seen the fog lights advertised on eBay and they went cheap!!! I thought about buying parts for stock piling, but figured any damage I do would be covered by my insurance so I didn't bother. Tomorrow I'll check the hoses and air filter...thanks for the heads up :lolcry: Lesley :)

I emailed them with a query, and haven't heard back from them...hmmm I was thinking I like my sides, and I like the front, but the other front is more agressive looking, I really like the back bottom bumper but I wonder how it'll look with the rest of the car..... hmmmm photoshopping is in order me-thinks.

OK, Update... I popped into Toyota to book the car in and told them what had happened. He looked at me like I was crazy and asked if it was still doing it. I said no. He said did I think I could make it do it again? So for three days I PURPOSELY tried to make it do the chugga chugga thing....and couldn't! Hubby borrowed the car and I got into it the next day and drove it...it's doing the fluttering and the psssshhhhtttt-ing. But I'm noticing a HUGE vacuumy air intake noise. So I again tried to make the wheel-spin chugga chugga and couldn't! So I'm stuck with the fluttering and pssshhhttting. *still sounds cool, but worrying* The car is booked in for next Wednesday so here's my utterly stupid question.....*cringe* If I continue to drive the car fluttering and pssshhhtting what damage could I do? or is it ok for me to drive it for another week (this equates to about 550klms). Hello! OK here's something weird that happened tonight....It was rainy and the roads were wet, a guy in front of me was turning and then braked half way through his turn (I have no idea why) but he didn't give much notice before slamming on his brakes and turning then stopping mid-turn. So I'm madly down shifting and thought I was going to come to a complete stop, but then he moved, so I was in first and I put my foot down and ACCIDENTALLY spun the wheels. I was going up-hill and I got the chugga chugga thing (vibrations from the front - which incidentally I don't think is normal, but has been happening since I had the last lot of work done) well...after my spin and chugga chugga, the turbo started to flutter and then a HUGE psssshhhttt in every gear (under 3500 rpm). This happened all the way to town and all the way back (so for about 70klms). Pretty cool noise but worrying never-the-less. I checked the instruments, oil, hoses etc., but couldn't find anything obviously wrong. I spotted some Supra's and thought *self - they may be able to tell me if I've f*cked the turbo* so I stopped and asked them...they said it sounded cool but it could be a vacuum hose that'd come off. So I thanked them and did a burn-out out of the car park (with the accompanying chugga chugga)....well the the fluttering and the pssshhhttt-ing stopped immediately. What's up with that?!?!?! Lesley :abuse:

Weirdest Thing Seen @ The Wreckers

oohhhh yuk! that's just wrong, I'm sorry I asked. You'd have to have a strong stomach I just couldn't imagine what thoughts would be going through your head when you find something like that...you'd need therapy.... Lesley... -
So I picked up the car a couple of nights ago, it was 1 degree *cold* but holy moley the turbo liked it, It has never, ever, felt like that before, it was as though a little tap of the foot made me leap forward and the pssshhhttt ing was in full force. So, of course I took it for a cruise...BUT the front wheels sound like the tyres want to strip themselves off my rims...best example, I have a RC car and when you chuck it round corners too fast the rubber comes off the rims....that's what I imagine is happening at the front end, there's not as much noise as before, unless I'm doing somewhere between 70 and 90 round a 45-55k bend. So, should I take it back to them and have a look at it, or is it just normal tyre noise??! The tyres are about 3 weeks old. Lesley :ninja:

back to BODY PARTS... WTF?! -
Hurro, WELL, I took broomdey into Toyota for it's 60,000klm service, and I asked them to look into the noise in the front end. Well it turns out that the car needs a new Driveshaft and other bits, total cost $800 including labour....*heart stopped* then I remembered...I've got warranty!!!! So I asked if it was covered, and it WAS!!! So, next week I'm getting new driveshaft and front bits! I love Toyota's and their extended warranty! So, here's the silly question..... What exactly is the driveshaft?? Is that the bit that the CV joints join onto on each side?? Lesley :P

That wasn't there when I posted... :P
