okay, So I took it back to Toyota, they said they'd fix it, I took it in oh, about 2 weeks ago (after it got keyed) and now I get it back TOMORROW! Yippee!!! Lesley :)

I went to the repair shop today...to measure up for the stickers It was horrible!!! My poor baby had been stripped, no handles, no mirrors, no windows, no internal door skins, no tail lights, the bonnet had been repaired and had a great big white splotch where they'd repaired the bonnet... My jaw dropped and I felt terrible.... I know it's in the middle of getting repaired and she'll be schmicko when she's done (IN THREE DAYS!!!) but it was a shock to see her like that. Three days' until I get her back, I'm almost afraid to drive it home... :D Lesley :y:

I'm on a ROLL!!!! The insurance assessor approved ALL the work for my car (which means the little fiddly bits I wanted repainting) are going to get done, it's going into the panel shop tomorrow, painted on Monday and I'll have it back on Thursday, in time to get my mags (thursday pm) and then toyoshow!!! hey, I just recently had my engine replaced, and as with you, just after it was running beautifully, however after the first, say 3000k's it REALLY started to fly. I spoke to the mechanics and asked why I now have more power and they said, just wait til you get to about 5000, you'll have even more! They said it was all the components bedding in and settling. Although, mine didn't have the detonation sound.... Lesley :)

I have a customer how has inherited a 96 Corona (ST190) and his tail lights have gone out, he wanted to check the furse box, but he can only find the one under the bonnet, I suggested kick panel or to the left of the steering wheel, but he still can't find it, (he can't bring the car to me because it isn't registered). I was hoping for pictures maybe?? But I can't find any..... Lesley :jamie:

Yep, that's media player 11. I have it and I don't actually like it, but I'm too lazy to do anything about it. Actually, not lazy, just too busy. It did change album info and it makes it harder to find songs but mewh, as I said too busy. I much prefer Winamp, I still have that on my puter so if I'm looking for something specific I'l use that. oh, that kind of doesn't quite work, I work about 2 minutes from home (we own a shop) and the car is known far and wide as my car and is parked right across the road from work. I usually go to town (shopping for parts) and then when I come back it's parked directly in front of the shop until I go home. The other vandal attack happened at home, parked across the road from my house :y: Lesley :)

Hey Raven, I see your point, BUT then I'd be driving a shitbox :) I've done 30,000klms in my car in the last year, I LOVE driving it, listening to my music LOUD and zoom zoom pssshhhtttting. What can I say, I'd die a little if I couldn't drive my car every day. Luckily I've got a Lifetime Rating 1, so no matter how many claims I make (this one will be my 4th in the last year) my premium won't go up and I won't get penalised. Lesley :y:

what annoys me the MOST is that it was parked out the front of my shop! Almost everyone in the area knows it's mine, which means someone is pissed at me, or who ever did it isn't from the area. What's more, it happened at 3.30 IN THE AFTERNOON!!! Plus it was only parked there for about an hour!! Have to tell the local lads and see if they can find out whodunnit and have a "chat" with them..... :)

stupid question, but wouldn't the exhaust manifold off an AW11 MR2 (being rear wheel drive - although mid engined) have the same design???? they came in a 4AGE and a 4AGZE.... Once again, my car has been vandalised, this time it isn't as bad as the dinner plate episode, but some numbnuts dickhead keyed my car :D - I'll take pics tomorrow and post them up... Happened in the middle of the day (on Wednesday this week), but there were no witnesses. Luckily it was only the back door - the shits also managed to rip my spider sticker! - it's going to cost inexcess of $600 to repair, and RIGHT before Toyoshow, at least I should be able to get it fixed before then, I managed to ask nicely and they said they should be able to fit me in the week after next. So now every panel except the passenger side front and rear door, the front left 1/4 pane, the roof have been resprayed :) Not a happy camper :D Lesley

the most amazing thing is he made it all himself and by hand! he even hand machined the valves and valve springs!!! I've actually seend the longer version (he goes into fine detail about all he did, it's AMAZING!! Lesley :D

I've hit a kangaroo, it didn't survive my car almost didn't. I hit a rabbit, no damage to anything ... except the rabbit!. I've hit a possum (one less to pee in my garden). I mowed down a koala on the freeway spoiler damage - that was a stupid accident though, there was a guy parked in the emergency stopping lane with his hazards on just after the crafers bridge bend), and he was standing on the inside lane waving his arms around, (I was in the inside lane and had slowed down when I saw the car but then I had to swerve to miss the guy and I hit the koala). It died :hmm: I was on an MR2 cruise and the lead car hit an owl on the drivers side pillar and the owl went catapoulting over and over (it looked a bit funny thinking back...) and then the fourth car in the convoy hit it and it exploded in a feathery puff. My brother hit a wombat in his ute. Oh, and I had a magpie fly straight into the back quarterpanel of my old car. ahhh reading that ^^^ I'm such a nusiance to wildlife. Lesley :ninja:
