Hey mate you sure can, i lived in sydney nsw for the past 17 years untill recently moving to qld. you need a cams liscence wich is like 55 bucks all you need to take is id ther eis no driving test involved. as far as car rego, Aslong as you can pass schrutineering (or however you spell) I.E Motor/Box/Diff must not leak any oil and fluids. you need front and rear lights with working hazards secured seat possibly a few other things can't remember But you will be sweeeeeeet to go. Eastern creek has a good little wet and dry skid pan this beast will be singing on the dry pan good luck bud!

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any pics of there 84 keto manual. I'm gathering the parts to do the conversion from auto to manual, i have found a whole in the firewall were i believe the clutch cable is going to go but i went to the wreckers and looked at one and my old man rekons it was the speedo cable, i don't belive that as i gather even being an auto my speedo cable will be going through the same whole? if anyone has a few pics that would be very helpfull to clear my head and start the work:)

Hey almost finished rubbing back my keysev. I'm going to be spraying backyard acryllic. The two colours I'm chosing between are white with a coat of clear, and matt black. i really like the look of a matt black salmed keysev but! my car will be seeing a fair amount of sun and i don't like the idea of my fresh matt black backyard spray job fading to shit in a month lol has anyone sprayed clear over matt black and it looks ok? any thoughts would be great there my two choices of colours tho would prefer the matt black look :wink:

ok currently rubbing the car back i started with a 400 grit then going to go over with a 800. picking up paint this sat ill let you guys know what i get and how it turns out :wink:

ok cheers mate, so you use prepsol/ wax and grease remover, wash of let dry primer wet sand, 2 coats paint dry then clear? thanks allot guys

ok this sounds easier then i thought, should i use a specific primer? or any automotive primer from supercreaps will do the job? aslong as its not a 2pak primer i gather. and what about thinning is there a ratio i should follow or just whatever sprays nice without dripping? thanks for info so far :happy:

Ok my keto is crying for some fresh paint, atm it is the faded blue colour. i was thinking of going over the top in a white acrylic. i do know alot of prep is required just wondering if anyone has had any good/ bad experiences with painting with acrylic. how much do i need to sand of? obviously i know I'm not going to get a flawless finish just want it to look good from a distance haha. car has no bog amd only light surface rust in some areas, i was hoping to use my dual action sander on the boot bonnet and doors and then go over with wet sanding and the rest wet sanding aswell, then hitting a primer wet sand again 2 coats of white then a coat of clear. any thoughts much appreciated thanks guys
