  4. Oh man here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!! :lolcry:
  5. Si its all good mate just taking the piss, 12-15 Psi on that engine should make it boogie hey. Let me know when you send the USB thingy. Matt
  6. Good work PRICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hmm: No tunes for you. Is this the guy that WE helped with his VNT turbo
  7. Make sure you put a support under it or do like mine and barace it off the inlet manifold to stop it dropping. Looks the goods.
  8. Itll be fine it hasn't been behind my K motor !!!!!!!!
  9. Not really!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. The K50 will require less cutting if any mate!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hey Cam you get those parts yet.!!!!
  12. Ok ,are you going to have enough height to allow for the oil drain back,i had a small issue with mine and mine is higher than that.
  13. You will find by tightening that cable tie you may get some more boost down lower ,BUT it will result in more total. Matt
  14. So are you gonna take the car down to him!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. You got too much time on your hands Si, go get yout EFI 5K going man.!!!!!!!!
  16. Same MPH as me,man i gotta get my clutch done and run some decent boost. Well done man!!!
  17. Has Cam been takin the piss out of forced K's has he Si.!!!!!!!!!!! :bash:
  18. Ok guys I'm not a moderator BUT some information has come to light that may have added to some forum members being a little out of line last night. Apologies have been given and accepted between parties i believe and i think this needs to be put to rest. CAM if you have any issues with anything that was said please PM the people concerned and I'm sure it will be sorted ASAP> MAtt
  19. My point exactly, i don't want to enter into this sort of dialogue with anybody mate, just want to pass on as many facts as i can, Because i have an intimate knowledge of turbo,s (thats my job you see) then i find it easy to preach on how they work. If you don't understand me then just ask me to explain next time mate. Please!! Matt
  20. I'm very happy to not waste my time and just wish you had read that info earlier before you preceeded to inform everybody that this particular system was controlled by pressure and not vacuum.Just merely trying to help out Taz-Rx with his query on why this sytem was not making boost.Whether it be nissan /toyota/whatever brand yes they do things differently but remember diesels do not predominantly make vacuum due to the fact they don't normally use a throttle butterfly to control the engine RPM? True!!!,so there is no way of them making vacuum in a manifold. No I'm not being condescending,I'm a making sure you understand where I'm coming from and if you think that one system on a diesel relates to all diesels in all applications then that is not correct. Anyhow have a good night. Matt
  21. Your a dickhead mate, how the f@$k do you think diesel powered CARS,4WD's get vacuum assisted brakes they use a f@$kING VACUUM PUMP. Man youve got a lot to learn.
  22. Before we get out of hand here. A Nissan VNT is controlled by vacuum canister just like it F$%^ING says in your link. "or by the engine management system using a vacuum actuator." :lolcry: :P :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
  23. Are you trying to suggest that these turbo's don't use VACUUM to activate the VNT and reduce or increase boost.???????????? Please don't tell me you are!!!!!!
  24. Its not the diesel turbo thats the problem Si,its that some of these new turbo diesels use a VNT to get them into boost earlier. Otherwise they normally just use a wastegate like anything else mate. MAtt
  25. Ok there is NO!!! wastegate. How it works is by directing the gases onto the turbine wheel at different angle hence causing greater or lesser turbine wheel speed inturn making more boost right!. So what the vacuum does is moves the actuator up or down depending on how much boost the computer tells it to make depending on load /rpm/etc,etc.The vacuum signal is NOT dependant or directly variable by any engine condition it is only a means to move an actuator. So even if it has vacuum at idle there is not enough engine speed or load(fuel) to make boost,And by the time the engine has made enough rpm/fuel load to make boost there is no vacuum in this engine to hold the actuator at an angle that will result in turbine drive. BTW, if you are using a diesel turbo on a petrol, normally double the engine size is acceptable due to the extra RPM that petrols do and airflow requirements. MAtt
