geoff scored me a good ke30 last week, id been toying with the idea of 4x4 or club car but decided to stop mucking about and just build a clean show car instead, ive a fair idea what i'll be doing but was hoping for a little input as to what motoring mags and show judges are looking for i plan to build what i want but i hope to end up with something that puts me at a photo shoot with one of those beeuutifull girls you see draped over cars haha (and I'm not a sterio person so unless someone out there is bored and rich thats not getting done)

ford wirings not to bad but not much fun to modify, you'll end up making the whole thing anyway power in one way, up other way down to the motors switch should be yellow wire power in, i'll look for that bloody book tomorrow, its -5 deg outside

mind the camtech cams friend has one turn up without the hole in it for the pully locating dowl, to fix it the camtech guy held it in one hand and bored a hole in it with a cordless drill, got to wonder how exact they are!

if its on the left its something aftermarket, not even the AC switch went there from memory, what ever that spot is for it wasnt used in oz

that pig needs more than a dyno, time to hammer in that lumpy cam, fresh rings and bearings, and that carbie in your shed capable of sucking in birds and small house pets

id like you all to meet a friend of mine paul, he hasnt got a rolla but we,ll forgive him for that cos hes one of the best tecnical mechanics ive met, kind of anoying cos he thinks to much (haha got a dig in) unlike me who jumps in with both feet. ether way, we get the job done, he just only has to do it once as a rule

all welcome jugs always on, can even offer a place to crash if you get stuck (but you wont want to drive your rolla to my house, crap road, lots of roos)

roo-0 steve-3 managed to hit this one with the tray of the ute! although friend was driving my loaner and hit one, did a little damage but I'm not counting that cos it wasnt me driving

finance done! details still in motion, the shops in hume, just keeping it general mechanical to pay the bills for now but as soon as possible I'm putting on a friend whos mad on the inj, computers, racing stuff so that will be a big part of it, just will never make any money haha!

the car would ping its arse of before it ran on if it was an octain problem, thats about the only thing this car doesnt seem to do

for the love of GOD!!! never put a holley on a straight 6!!! they only blow fuel down, it can't turn into the manifold, 1 and 6 run lean, 3 and 4 rich

fastest car? depends on the drive 180B sss 1.8 twin carb 5 speed sat on 165kph for 3 days across the nulabor (i know thats spelt wrong) TD cortina 6 cyl x flow bored stroked cam carb exaust twin valve springs on clevo valves, would light the tyres shifting into 4th ke 10 (yay!!) all the usual eng mods and 5 speed but some serious shocks and suspension, it cornered like a cat on carpet, if the corner was sign posted at 55, 120 on the speedo, but it toped out at 140 (anyone else have trouble with the rear 1/4s drumming at speed?) AND THE WINNER IS.... RN41 hilux! 2wd 302 windsor C4 2.92 lsd 4 wheel discs, it stops, it turns well enough for a 30 year old ute, and it tops out well over 215kph but thats as fast as I'm prepared to go (and the speedo runs out at 190 now so id only be guessing anyway) all the others where fun in there own ways but these where the more outstanding ones (and of course ive only tried this in controled conditions under adult supervision)

wasnt someone on another thread having similar problems with the timing on a ke70? turns out he had a stuffed muffler, i guess if it was bad enough the trapped fuel would run on, the heat and back presure would ignite it and all those things combined would kill a head gasket in 5000km real easy, does the car sound like an asmatic at revs?

i have 7 spare beds at my house, how bigs a sticker shop and i'll be calling on your services shortly to deck out the shop utes (and any outher car i can get my hands on, nothing like a little advertising!)

you can't have a torn seat (may get caught in the ivent of an emergency exit) but covering it with a seat cover will do, but if the base has let go and your sitting on the floor or springs are showing.... no good, yes you can fix it yourself but in to lazy to type it :) unless you want me to

still working out the finer details and finance but i just brought a workshop, some of the crap in it includes tyre changer and balancer, 3 hoists and a dyno, whos your daddy now!! haha yes to club discounts and all that when it goes through
