  1. its out on the farm
  2. not looking to sell it when its done, maybe rent it out? then we all don't need fuging big aluminium boxes in our back yards this ones what i,ve been looking for, single axle, solid woodwork, no soft top crap, few dents but not bad, and good cond. underneath cos its never been towed and someones already stripped the int. for me! i wonder how it would look full polished?
  3. don't trust anything less than 3 years old in canberra during the nats, ACT cops can't drive the odometers over 60,000 kms as a rule so its fairly safe to race everything older than that
  4. heater taps and waterpumps can get unsetledwhen you install them second hand (sometimes) its not unusual for a part that was ok to let go after you rip it out drain the fluid let the seals dry out then bang a little presure on it this is also why you NEVER reuse wheel cyl on your brakes if you have coolant leaking out of the tap, just put another one in till you get one that holds (check you havent a split in the hose before you go mad changeing stuff over and over)
  5. i've got a road bike, trail bike, 4 rollas, the hilux, the xf ute, a lancer, and today i added a different toy to the colection... A CARAVAN!! its got wheels so it fitts the basic requrements of shit that sits in the back yard, i plan to deck out the interior as a site shed sort of thing to take to car shows, rallys and races so that theres a fridge full of cold drinks, something nice to sit on, and an air con/ heater, maybe then i can take kids to motorsport events, even if they just watch dvds and colour in their books now looking for a boat and airplane (seriously)
  6. the ex is in a mood again, i can't make it (i could but the little ones end up in foster care if i do) LOTS OF ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED SWEAR WORDS NOT TYPED HERE
  7. ivan (the panel beater) borrowed my truck this week to go pick up a good shell from the wreckers in mitchell, thats all i know
  8. i really really really want panels of a white rolla if you can't fix it sorry shouldnt try to benefit from someone elses misfortune but i really really............. no i don't read the obits. when house hunting
  9. radiator in, its out of some telstar thing and fits just right, bottom brackets out of some mazda thing, top brackets out of some ford, the thermo fan sits of to the LH side inside the eng. bay and mounts at a slight angle so i have the added bonus of it blowing the heat of the headers and cooling the radiator still working on a remote thermostat housing (and no I'm not fitting RWD pump, it gets in the way of the supercharger)
  10. new plan, stay as long as you like, shes a total bitch
  11. an ae71 wagon diff will fit in the ke30 without any problems HOWEVER because its 100mm wider the ke30 handbreak cable is really streched to fit, the ae71 is the right length but you need to relocate the retaining brackets on the floor pan to get it working (inner cable longer too) and xt130 drums and backing plates bolt right on i don't know what size it all is but the ae71 drum fits inside the xt130 drum, biggers better on brakes!
  12. and the garden furniture has come home so if you have a folding chair....... :) and it may not be a real late one, kind of hoping to go see a girl after, bout 9 ish late enough?
  13. i ran a 2.5 inch system on a 4k, was a total pig of the mark and the noise was stupid, after 30 min i was deaf for an hour, but it was good for 20kms extra per gear on dirt check the FAQ someone smart wrote all the whats and whys in there i think (1 3/4 for a k motor i think)
  14. o' yea WHOOO HOOO, someone thought i was a business man!! trust me, I'm a little guy, just grabbed a hand full of goolies and jumped into my own business because i love the 18 hour days ha ha (sob, cry)
  15. BIG can of worms opened here!! i'll always help if i can, and take the piss out of someone given the chance, but only in fun i asked my contacts yes i may be able to tee up a paint job for around that money but not in the near future, people only do the cheap cashies when their quiet, right now its the post winter crash season/pre summer boy racer, no cheap anything for now! lil rolla chick, come to the meeting at the end of the month, the other guys are a little strange, but I'm ok, (yay i got to take the piss out of someone, then everyone else all in the same thread) apart from being dumb enough to like rollas, nice
  16. a woman nice to me??? don't get my hopes up! played with the car again tonight, ke 30 cable clutch pedal box out, drilled the spot welds off that hold the pedal mount on, modified it with the fbh tool (f@$king big hammer) and welded it back on a little higher on the pedal box, fitted a ae71 clutch pedal, drilled a hole in the fire wall and replaced some bolts the ae71 hydrolic master cyl now fits and working a treat add 4 hours to build time
  17. its WAY eazy with the right tools, i've got 3 hoists, forklift, all the oxy, mig, press, air, and hand tools on hand so things that can take a week when you have to farm them out can be done here in the matter of an hour
  18. i trimmed down an ae71 engine x,member, reshaped the ends a little with the oxy, and re drilled it to suit the ke30 (added some plate to strengthen around the new holes) 4age dropped right in on the mounts seemed easyer than making mounts with the added benefit of the rack and pinion everything clears underneath ae71 steering collom (the what?)fitted onto the rack at a good angle, went throught the firewall without modification, and bolted to the pedal box fine with a little violence to get it under the dash, the base of the collom (that home made word again) is a bit of a shit to flush up to the firewall but thats about it
  19. I'm calling for a change of direction on this tread, can it become the " cool shots of wrecks I'm not ever going to be aloud to bring back to life thread" ? i love those old US rust buckets, i want them ALL as for dead people, I'm a heartless bastard and all i see is a carcus, be it dog, roo, or human, but it works for me, some people need time to recover from seeing some things, i just wash my hands , light a smoke and move on
  20. get a mate to do it? i have a half blind mate with parkinsons, lets pick him!! I think that if philba new anyone with skills he'd have hit them up already and sorry I'm WAY to busy to do take a respray on
  21. Here are some pics finally, excuse the mess, remember, it's a work in progress still
  22. totaly different to the 101/102 sedan stuff (bugger) the guard is smooth not ribed like the sedan the parkers are squared of in the lower back corner the head lights are rounded on the inner lower edge the bonnet hangs lower grill narower and front bar...... just different
  23. wrecking gets interesting, but you want to try tow trucking! its all fresh, after a year your imune to all things squeemish but hell you score some good stuff! I'm up to 5 rollas now! (plus the 2 i've already crushed)
  24. ordered the parts i needed aftermarket to suit the standard 102, i figure for what they cost me worst case senario is i order a few more bits and end up with a standard front end, but will post whatever i find, this is more an early rolla site but it doesnt hurt to know
  25. scored a '94 corolla ae102 sprinter today, boy racer smashed the front in and couldnt find the parts to fix it so i very nicely offered to tow it away for him for free (i'll burn in hell i know) anyway it was his grandmas, 170000 ks on the clock and needs a rh guard, lamp, blinker and complete front bar, all the usual places i go for parts (importers, wreckers, a/market) keep saying they can't help on parts because its a sprinter, I'm stuffed if i can see a difference! anyone know about these things? (no picks, got camera finally, computer can't find it... one day!)
