  2. driving to work one morning the car had heated up, all was good, i hit one of those frosty hollows and froze the radiator instantly, 90 deg radiator to ice INSTANTLY!! mother nature is a stuffed up bit of work
  3. most fatals don't make it to auction, they belong to next of kin, and they never want them, or the police investigators, and they don't want them, so if you know the guy behind the counter, have a truck and a strong stomach..............
  4. lots and lots of things to do check the project tread for a clue but if you need to ask the job sounds to high tech for you o yea, o yea, now wheres that cat in the hat smilie thing? sorry man, just having fun at your expence
  5. quick answer......... no  the ke55 ke70 have a larger tailshaft yoke on the auto, your tailshaft wont fit 30,55,70 run an internal uni clip, your car has external uni cips, you can't swap the yokes you could get a tailshaft made, use the 55 or 70 shifter, and it should go straight in, but i havent done it so don't take that as gospel vacume thingy is so your gear box knows when to shift down from low manifold vacume (unlike kick down cable to shift down when you floor it)
  6. they are special "anti tamper" bolts, the heads snap off when the bolts are at the right tork, get them out but tapping them anti clockwise with a center punch, then cut a groove in the tops with a hack saw, then you can tighten them up with a flat head screw driver
  7. did this once with an XA bonnet onto a TD cortina, all i did was cut the skin off the xa, sat it on top of the cortina bonnet, left the front on the front (funny that) trimmed the sides and back to line up with the existing cortina lines, went nuts with the welder and sikaflex! bugger of a job and I'm not volentering to do it again
  8. k series head and twin down draught(?) carbs of a ke16 fast back, standard, 4 seater, higher comp, bigger ports, crap valve seals but i don't think the rules say you can't run later model standard ones i don't know what car you have so i don't know bout diffs or gearbox
  9. we got that sorted sunshine
  10. body parts! couple of fingers under a dash once (roll over) foot under drivers seat (went under a truck) eyebrow complete! on saas sports wheel spoke (head on, slid into footwell and didnt clear) general mushy red stuff i don't want to think about teeth, chunks of hair and scalp you get the idea, i'll stop there before you get a visual
  11. thanks for the concern and input everyone, ive bitten off as much as i can handle work wise and its been playing on my mind and stopping me from slowing down enough to sleep, ive found a "happy place" its all good, 5 hours a night is plenty for me, with a sleep in catch up every 2 weeks everyone copes differently and everyone has different physical needs and all the different replys and suggestions showed that more clearly than i could ever hope to type so again thanks for letting me have my dribble, thanks for the replys (it helped) I'm good and my kitchen looks fantastic after staying up till 5.30 sunday morning plastering and painting it, practical use for not sleeping
  12. i have a sand paper effect on the back of my right wrist from a bike crash, its cleared up well but because it went to the bone it damaged tendons and i can't straighten the two end fingers best one is from when i fell down a well, got caught on some wood, under my arm pits, with 2 inch nails sticking out of the wood, the scars hurt before storms like you wouldnt beleve
  13. theres 2 seats in there, how do i get my arse in one of them? happy to fill the one on the right for you :ninja: sweet ride
  14. this is just stress, aparently it stops me sleeping (as I'm finding out) depression makes me loose my appitite, if you don't eat for 3 weeks you turn a funny orange light green color, mmm a good look! (and it takes years to put the weight back on) good to know I'm not the only one whos body goes stupid when the brain overloads ROLLACLUB, good for what ailes ya! (and it seems i loose ALL abuility to spell, not that i could before) "but will i be able to play the piano doctor!cos i couldnt before"

  17. i was a wrecker for a while, ive found large sums of money, guns, drugs, body parts, VERY private photos, countless tools, personal papers etc etc you wouldnt beleve the stuff people leave in their cars never had a cow but remember the "mad as a junkyard dog" song? i still have scars
  18. black dash ke30 had a banjo, silver dash had the borg warner ke30 through 55 had leaf springs, ke70 had trailing arms no the diffs complete will not interchange, and unless you have all the tools for setting backlash and shimming a borg warner the diff shop price ($400 usualy) makes a center swap a bloody expencive option
  19. yes, and point a timing light at it :faq:
  20. sorry everyone i've been flat out buying my new shop, i'll be knocking up the first prototype this weekend ke20-in-the-act, you may want to come to the club meeting, i'll want to do a dummy up fit into a ke20, looks like you may need to come to the rescue (and score a free set)
  21. A.C.T rego are ok with the 5k into a ke55, but not the ke30, (20%) i took my ute over 150% power increase over standard, it was fun to watch them go nuts but everytime they picked me.. out came the eng. cert.
  22. imobilizers cut power to the engine, in your case the computer, they only cut starter motor power to impress suits and stop you winding till the batterys flat, i'd have another look at it its the only thing that lets go without warning and would give you a negitive input code that i can think of off the top of my head
  23. mate used the side out of his boot as a main bearing, lasted 600kms, things you do in the bush now how of topic was that, i'll shut up and go back under my rock now
  24. do you have an after market imobilizer fitted?
