I'm leaning towards the bottom picture. I think a lighter bay is abit different and will suit the colour I want to paint the exterior of the car down the track.

Something like that or this but abit more glossy with some cool pearl to it! :wink:

input is welcome haha.. What's your ideas? I plan on painting the engine bay a dark grey with some sort of crazy pearl since I really can't be bothered doing the multicoloured bay and it'd look funny with a stock 4k on bike carbs sitting in the bay.. Might do that for the Beams10 haha!! :cool:

Cheers Tim. You will be fine the the KE55.. Panels are cheap, don't waste your time fixing old ones. Find a overrated set of panels and just bolt them on!

Needs a little bit more primer, then I can give it a squirt sometime soon.. Picking up a 4K motor for it on Friday and the 5 speed gearbox is getting delivered on thursday night. Hopefully I can get the engine bay painted by sunday and have the motor sitting in the car with the 5 speed attached... then I can start on the exterior of the body! :bash: Hopefully I'll have it running as soon as I can get it going because in a month I get my P's in a day's time if I pass hahaha! Half paint stripped, Firewalls welded up in the rusty spots and its going to be completly stripped and etch primed and rubbed back in highfill by tomorrow. I've got a helper tomorrow! :laff: Hopefully the interior will be paint stripped and rust treated in a few little spots on the pan and then POR15! Headlinings coming out aswell :rolls: More pictures tomorrow :y:

if you run it without the leaf spring make sure you get a whiteline sway bar otherwise it will handle like shit. Swaybar + HSD weld on coilover kit + camber tops is a good set up.

What I did.... Removed Leaf spring, Welding S13 Rear spring perches and cut rear springs into the front so Its turning them into a non adjustable coil over. Whiteline sway bar aswell!

Back again with another Ke1x Corolla... this time, its a Wagon! The game plan... overrated interior and bay, Ghetto body. Motor wise it will cop a 4k/5k depending on how easy I can get a 5k :glare: It had an RX3 LSD diff in it, but thats gone. Standard diff went into it tonight. Standard front end, just lowered with Ke55 discs and calipers. Bit of a different location this time... under the Containers! I'm not use to working outside in gravel hahaha :hmm: Get a shed spot back soon so this will be going there! The plan!! What it looks like Minus the photoshopped black.. can't find original photo anywhere but its in poo brown primer haha! What inspired me was motorFIX's 3SGE BEAMS ke70.. whilst I was researching beams for my KE10, I stumbled across their Ke70 wagon.. It looks gross on the outside, but inside is immaculate, under the bay aswell!! Oh well.. I'll update soon!

Hey Davros, I got a KE10 I might sell.. its a very very clean shell. No rust at all, paint flaked off and got a respray in 1998 and the car never got put back together... just got scratched and a few dints over the last decade. I bought it off the mechanic of the original owner around 6 months ago and I pulled some dints out and fixed a few things but still needs a few dings pulled out and a little bit of primer here and there and a respray in spots or a full respray which I was intending on doing but I can't afford to have 4 one day projects :bash:

Yeah unbolt the circular linkage of the carby and bend the tab.. Works fine, Did it to mine!

If your going 4agte pull your finger out and spend the money on something that won't break. I have a Hilux diff housing shortened to 1310mm, Prado 4x4 LSD, billet axles drilled to 4x110 but I'm changing it to 4x114.3 since theres hardly any wheels in 4x110. Its also got Rx7 discs and calipers.... Its a top diff, Heavy... but strong. :rolls:

s2 Rx7's run 4x110. I think they are abit wider than ke10.. 50mm roughly in the rear track. Doesn't help with the offset of rims, I know Rx3 diffs are a good option. I'll take some pictures of it today! :fuzz:
