need to skim a few mm from the caliper to make the wheels clear....... sleeve kits at the right spot so i can weld it on better tonight.... Now to finish some assignments for uni :bash:

just played around with suspension today.... consists of: Cusco tops, cusco top perch, 8kg springs, wholesale bottom perch machined to fit springs, sleeve kit cut in half... 86 super short struts, 86 hubs, fc calipers, civic discs undecided on shocks atm.... running TRD blues. anyway sussssspension should be sorted in the next couple days. :cool:

now I'm waiting on a massive order from AJPS and t3! I deffiantly need to run a chin lip and maybe an rx7 oil cooler out the front and some ta22 guard mirrors.... get the whole car a tad lower but that looses my ground clearance and i'm already at 85mm :( Beams sump = fail. Might have to dry sump it :P

Strut bender Luke thinking his cool.... After a few months of having 2 passanger side 86 struts... i realised the day before driving 3 hours to Lukes... that I had 2 of the same struts... so drove all around sydney to picked up a few sets of 86 struts, ended up cutting down a set of struts at lukes to bend this morning.... New sleevekit and a shitload of parts are on their way for my front end!! Car will finally be complete in the front end department! just removing the dodgy sleeve kit.

Kmac's won't do anything for you unless they magically move the strut tower 20mm in.

Look put it this way.... Cambertops wound all the way in, machined to wind in even more... My coilover is hard against the Strut Tower.... Can't move it anymore unless we cut it out, but I honestly can't be F*#ked to do any more chopping and welding on this car! I have an adjustable LCA.... adjusted to 310mm.... perfect fitment at the bottum.... if only the top would pull in. The only way to get more camber.... is a longer control arm, but since Luke and I both would like to keep stock guards.... won't happen. Okay... 5" rim.. well 5" rim with a 165 tyre pushing around a track or street at 150k's..... not happening if I'm driving it. I got a 7" rim and a 6.5" rim with +13 offset which is perfect for my set up. A 195/45 tyre sits square.... although still i'm about 20mm out. Only alternative is a set of custom made ae86 struts or RA64/something celica that gives -2 more camber than an ae86 strut standard... although the 52mm strut dia is perfect for us as we can get a TRD blue shock and many more adjustable shockies. As we see... front pokes just a tiny bit... its only 20mm... Only alternative is to 1) make a Jigg and Bend the struts like they use to do in Bathurst... 2) get an ae86 strut, chop the strut tube completly off, mill the cast stub at the bottom on an angle... weld new 52mm 4mm wall thickenss tubes into the cast stub..... then brace it all up for extra strength. 3) Heat it and bend it but the metal would stretch and become a mess... don't recomened that haha

$2500 for a beams.... 15,000 for the rest of the conversion doing everything myself... Wish I bought something already built and saved my $$

Not to much updates.... just waiting for my mate to finish building an rx3 so he can start working on my firewall as i'm to scared to touch it!! I'm doing Mechanical Engineering! Pedal box. LEEN J160 shifter relocation kit Sleeping in the shed Set of 14x7j +13 reversies popped up so grabbed those and also grabbed a 'special' girlfriend haha Then a set of 14x7 0 and 14x6.5 +10 popped up so thought i'd grab those last night too... quick test fit chucked a 165/55r14 on the front and a Falken 195/45r14 on the rear Sat in garage for about an hour....... thinking about how i'm going to get rx7 AJPS brake kit under them :S NEK MINNIT.... decided the front wheels need new inner barrels made up without the SSR buldge.

Looks a lot better!!! should just work on this one haha :y: Put the front end set up you got and get cooking!

Looks soo good! Love it... the wheels are Overrated and the tyres are the right profile.. A wee bit lower and it's unreal but SA is a fair bit tougher by the sounds of it than NSW :cool:

MA61, S13 arms, T3 knuckles, ajps lock spacer.... set of 15x9 Rotas = Best fun for under $3k.... except now I want to chuck a 1uz I got into it :bash: But seriously.... they are sick! get one!

Well the Firewall is now being put off until the end of feb. Will be finished before march 1 :cool: What I'm going to do in the meantime is, sort out the fuel system... mock the wiring up, 100% complete the front suspension, Sort the rear diff stud problem out and make the ladderbar rear end and panhard rod and sort the leafs out. So by the time the firewalls done the car's virtually completed :y: Started my Uni degree on the 28th feb... will be pretty crazy and I have a feeling not to much corolla time will happen. Get my licence back on the 5th of march, although I believe I get it back for a week and then lose it for another 3 months for having no points or some bullshit.....

Really not much room in the footwell... By the end of the week the car should hopefully have a firewall and tunnel. Progress won't be as responsive anymore as I've just started my Uni degree. But still will be weekly updates haha :)

Well can't really do much till the firewalls in so I just been cleaning the motor up and playing with other things lately. My MA61 track car haha! Photo of me sliding it haha :cool:

Sure are!!! Alloy RX7 FC calipers.. soon to have the MAZDA milled off them hahaha :dance: Here's an update........... Recieved my $95 Delivered Alloy radiator Cooked a Beams rocker cover... Nah jokes just preheated it to about 50c then gave it a coat of wrinkly paint :cool: Made a tab for the radiator.. yes it will be rubber mounted. Chopped more of my car out :bash: Worked from 5pm to 1:30am this morning making that one part.... and did a few other things. Tacked in the drivers side Welded it in. Tadaaaa. I'm not sure if I like it or not. it looks to boxy/flat :fuzz: Update later tonight :laff:

Well if this works, I plan on making a few more...... with K series mounts so people can buy a bolt in Ke10 rack and pinion conversion.
