    My "toy Yoda"

Chrome gutter strips, plastic clip that holds the gear console in, all plastic trims for the boot and maybe the passenger visor in tan.
  2. I had the same issue with a guy. Wanted to pay but couldn't as his bank details weren't listed. Sent many messages asking for bank details and finnally got them when they claimed the not paid bullshit. Just pay and get it over will and give them a nice negitive comment.
  3. For AE's, see Dougie  I deal in KE's.

thanks mate, its great but so hard to find parts for.
  5. just a question about KE3x/KE55 carpet. I have a wagon that I'll be wrecking with quite good carpet and a Hardtop in need of carpet. Would it be just a straight swap??
  6. Doctors orders are to work on my cars. Who am I to disobey the doctor!!
  7. I just thought that by raising the tailgate I might want to do the same for the latch. It might work.
  8. Just wondering if I could use washers as some sort of spacer to raise it?? Tho its as far up as it can go now and just latches, any more out and I don't think it'll latch.
  9. Okay, so today was a busy day. I started will fully vacuuming the car. (inside and out) I'm not a big fan of parking under trees but I assume the previous owner was. Having the vac out gave me a good chance to suck out all the leaves and shit that have built up inside the vents. I'm loving the carpet, tho worn on the drivers side and a bit faded, it still looks new. I fitted my new mats. I decided to cut a hole in them so I could have the peddle sticking through. Its better than the mat in Lolla, I then decided just to cut a slot from the side. It looks bare, I need to fit my console. Does anyone know if they fit well against an early dash?? I've seen the early auto console with an early dash. The early auto console is just like the late auto console, just brown. I removed the crappy sub woofer box carpet that had been laid in the back and cleaned it up. I also tidies up the sagging roof lining. I hope to change the seats soon. I have a set of early KE36 seats just like these with the original rubber cargo mat or the update KE55 rear seat with stock cargo carpet. I donno which one I'll use yet. Next I realigned all the doors, bonnet and tailgate to ensure they are straight. I adjusted the tailgate as high as it would go but still sits low.
  10. But thats what I mean, all my other hardtops are from AMI while this one is a Jap import.
  11. Yeah, thanks guys. Today I'm going to take it home (I wonder what the parentals will say) so I can give it a vac and fit the new mats. I gave the steering wheel a clean yesterday and removed all the gunk that built up on it. The actual wheel is in good nick, sadly the center will need to be replaced as its cracked and faded. Another thing I'll be needing to get is an early glovebox. The early ones are shaped differently so i have to grab one when at Kelly's next.
  12. Who is wet? I'm intrigued!
  13. WoW, how did you pick that up. Its so small in the shot!! And about the Girlock calipers, am I correct when saying that all hardtops came standard with them??
  14. Well as promised, the new dash is in. Here are the shots. KE55 dash out. Wires, Wires, Wires!! I got this over a year ago from ebay. I didn't need it then. SCORE!! This is one addition I will be making, it's a rear demister. And the final product... I've got the new mats at home and it really needs a vac.
  15. I should be a bit more specific with the grille, I had never seen the blue badge before.

Very nice. Looks tough. I say keep the interior original. Go the sleeper look.
  17. Hmm green with yellow stripes?? Do you really wanna be the poster car for BP??
  18. My KE50 jas moulded lining. You'll most likely end up cutting yourself trying to get it out. It was wire inside it
  19. I figured yours would be, but the two door sedan??
  20. Is yours moulded or the later bar'd one??
  21. The cruise has been changed. Its now July 5th.
  22. I can't believe that no one from Beadesert has snapped this one up yet...
  23. Well this is a 79 KE55s and was biult towards the end of the year, September to be exact. Where as my first hardtop, SL1 was April 1979 and built in Australia.
  24. Hey guys, I just wanted to pick everyones brains about my KE55s. We know how KE30's were bult in Japan and how the KE55's were built in Australia. But my KE55s (Hardtop) states it was built in Japan. I rang Toyota and they told me that the only KE55 they have record of importing was the Liftback (KE55p). I thing I find so odd about my car is that under it it has both auto, and manual mounting points for the gearbox crossmember just like the KE35, where as the Australian built KE55's didn't. Another thing is that the brake calipers are standard ones and not Girlock ones like Australian built KE55 hardtops. Now I don't know what type of brake calipers KE35's had. Last item is my grille, I haven't seen any other KE55 grilles like it. Now I've spoken to PhatKE30 who was the previous owner and the owner before him was an elderly old lady, so I know that the brakes couldn't have been downgraded. Can anyone shed some light??
  25. Thats what I thought. Tho these seats originated in a sedan. I doubt that the rail that the seats bolt to are differant to the sedan ones. So that still doesn't explain why even without carpet it is so difficult to bolt down.
