Women + Carparks + Driving = DANGER!!! I was almost run over in a car park today while walking across a zebra crossing. Was hoping she'd hit me so I could bitch slap her. Oh and My sister + parking doesn't mix. When ever parking on the street in the city she gets me to back the car in. I bought her a new front bumper not long ago due to her bad parking skills and a ford falcon being parked in the space next door. She now chooses to park only to her left I think.

Hmm, I don't remember ever completing homework in high school. I always got by  To tell ya the truth, I never finished any book I was meant to read for English, yet I always passed :hmm:

There is no friend like a friend that gives head. Or are we talking about something else?? :hmm:

Should be, I can't remember much of when I pulled the early dash out of the donor car. I'm sure that the speedo ones might be but there is no real need to change clusters anyway, keep the old one. Secondly does your early model have the rear demister?? That might be differant.
-
Also, you'll be needing to remove the metal frame that suports the dash too and replace it with the frame from the other type of dash.
-
My KE36 is an early one that currently has a late dash. I'll be swapping it back to early.
-
When's that bypass being finished anyway??
-
The heater/fan stays in, everything else comes out. I'll be doing this swap soon in my KE36.

Well here is how I went today... This one screwed in easier. But looks crap!! The drivers side screwed in after a big f@$k around... And it doesn't line up with the vent. Here is the end result. And the dashmat to help preserve the new dash.
-
Thats pretty cool. I wish my arial would actually go down.
-
Oh I see. Mine is better. The bottom one is a two in one switch.
-
Na, she's good, a little scratch. She's my back up.
-
lOl, nice try. I dropped that one by mistake. Fell off the shelf in the garage.
-
Mine is apparently "Genuine" old stock. Came in a TOYOTA box. I'm doubting its genuineness now tho. OOOW, I want your second knob from your radio!! :abuse:

If you look closely at the pic with the shot of the corners of both dashes, you can see the white frame. That's where the vent screws into. There should be one screw that attaches that end of the dash to the frame. The vents have nothing to do with holding the dash to the frame.

Considering it costed me $375 delivered, I kinda wish I paid the extra $20 and had my Dash Restorer guy just reconstruct me a new one.
-
Yes. The fact is that rthe new dash has holes that the old one doesn't.
-
It doesn't matter. The xE2x dash is symmetrical. Plus the dash was stamped with "KE20"
-
There is one screw that screws the dash to the frame, while the vents screw into the frame (Not through the dash)

UPDATE TIME!! Well here is my dash. Problem: Its cracked! I managed to score a "Brand New Genuine" dash from a US member. After a lot of messing around, I finally got the old cracked dash out. And now the old dash beside the new one. After a lot of meddling, the new dash is in. PROBLEM: New dash is on top, old dash is on the bottom. The moulded holes are completely different. I'm confused as to what to do... Hopefully I'll sort it out tomorrow. I'm assuming if I don't stick the screws into these slots that the corners will curl up.

thanks Raven, I knew that yours wouldn't be together yet but thought you got it from the same guy I did as we were all enquiring at the same time. Does anyone know who else got one?? Oh and might I say that the angle and position of where the screws are on the dash gave me the shits. I ended up grabbing a Phillip's bit and hand screwing the glove box off.

As promised, here are the pics of the TE71 from Halloween III And I was also watching Smokey & the Bandit 3 and noticed this TE71 also. (NOTE: DO NOT WATCH SMOKEY & THE BANDIT 3!! It is RUBISH!!)

This was my car on Saturday. She had 8 cylinders. 4 up front and 4 out back. My car again, this time with a Compressor in the back. Here is my car parked next to a NEW Corolla Sedan. Old Vs. New... My Nephew... "Lock Up Your Daughters" This part is dedicated to Maccas Here is Troy, he wouldn't shut the f@$k up on Sunday night, so I taped his mouth. Remember Samee and her skills?? Meet Samee's Sister, Katherine...

Well, I went today and gave this another go. It was pissing me off for a while then got easier as it all came off. After a bit more bitching and moaning, I was finally able to install the dash... or so I thought Did anyone else buy a dash from the guy that was selling them a little while back?? Has anyone installed theirs yet?? From just having them side by side I thought something was off. Here is a photo of the new dash on top and the old dash on the bottom. I can't seem to get the screw that was in the old one in through the outer hole on the new one. They just don't line up. I have kinda butchered the hole on the drivers side. I'm begining to question how genuine this dash is. Lastly, what would connect to this wire if I had whatever function that could go here?? Would it be a tacho from a tacho dash??
