Wow !! Very Impressive , I thought my ae82 4agze was a rocket but this must put quite a few cars to shame ! What other cars have you lined up against on the strip ? My Dash is old and the light is very badly dispersed so was also looking going down the led route. I've already changed my one on the roof for when the door are open and that made a huge difference. I wanted to know which Mk golf your flares are off ? the fit pretty well. Edit: just re-read it mk2 ! thanks

Engine checked out good . Did a comp test with a variant of 5 psi across all the cylinders so all good . I have found some jic coil overs for a ae92 not to sure on the make ! Never heard of them. So all I would have to do is chance my top hats ? I know Mrp coils are good and prob the best I can get but not keen forking out big cash on them when my car sees the track once a month and is not a dedicated tracker Thanks guys

Can someone please help me with a link or a walk through on how to adapt ae92 coilovers for a ae82! I been looking for ages and can't get a definite answer or walk through on the process ! The internet supplys us with great info but damn you got to dig through the rubbish and irrelevant info to find it !

Had quite a scare on Saturday night when driving out my driveway Sump plug just magically came off which I didn't know about?! oil light suddenly came on down the road from my house .i quicky pulled over when the light randomly popped on got out and opened the bonnet . As i looked back down the Road I realised the oil slick I had left behind and immediately looked under the car to find the sump drain bolt not there and the bottom of my car dripping in oil. So found alternative bolt ( bumper bolt ) wrong thread but correct size so screwed it in just to be able to hold oil in and put fresh oil in, when I tried to turn her over nothing, Wouldn't even turn a little ! So being around the corner from home(1km) I got a mate to tow me home( waited about 30 min for him ) on the way home I dropped second and it started up perfectly it Sounds healthy and ran fine. This arvo I dropped and flushed oil again with no metal bits in the oil, it was perfect . So me and friend are doing compression test tomorrow to double check it all out :( wish me luck! After owning my white 4age ae82 and loving it , I sold it for the same amount I bought my new Red Lebo spec 4agze ae82 (2500). I had previously raced my white one around Barbagello and was 6-8 seconds off the Wrx's and Evo's, I wasnt loosing that much time in the corners even tho I didnt have semi slicks and was suffering badly from body roll ( kingsprings ) , on the straights however is where is was losing huge chunk of time. So hopefully this will counter some time lost on the straights and when coilovers, sway bars go in will be quicker in the corners. Starting to slowly un-leb it Intercooler went black for my stealth New Oz-racing wheels Was suffering heat sink from extractors near my radiator so wrapped them

Repositioned the gauges as the look takey ontop of the dash . Will clean up the wiring when I can be farked . Started polishing the paint !

I bought these bad boys for $80 . After paying I thought I would do some research on the wheels and then it clicked that this is the company that makes wheels for F1, Wrc , NASCAR , Touring cars ! So huge wank factor !! Then stumbled across 2 ads on gumtree showing me what a second hand set is worth ! I think I might of got a good deal . So after a new event that has started locally in Perth that opens Barbagello race track up for a whole night once a month I thought I should get something fun to race around in, so here it is. This car is ridiculously fun that it can get you into some trouble , got my first fine in 2 hours after signing the transfer papers :D So plan is to be a have a quick track car but still be able to drive it to te track with not much un-wanted attention .

I'm hating this car right now . It dropped all it's coolant on the way home from work yesterday because the O-ring on the rear water pump housing was dead and checked thermostat also which was dead as well . So I replaced the o-ring and left the thermostat out and put everything back . Now car won't start !! It's was very hot when I got it home yesterday and having started since . It turns over and there smell of Unburnt fuel in the engine bay . I didn't touch anything electrical or what not when taking the water pump rear housing off . I'm thinking spark plugs ?? Any suggestions ?

Well Reed pointed out that factory pressure for the cooling system is between 0.3-0.9 , 0.9 being max . 3 psi is quite a lot over what factory have recommend hence possible why my water pump gasket failed in the first place. Does anyone know what rating the standard factory radiator cap is? Edit : My fan is dismal at best , has no shroud and is about 100mm away from the back of the rad . Cheers

My car cock blocked me by over heating last night and pissing water through my made up water pump gasket ! I'm getting a proper gasket today tho . When I purchased the car the guy pointed out that I should change the 1.1 bar radiator cap to a 0.9 cap .. Does that make a huge difference ?

Oh yea understable . Won't know what exactly it is till I get in there and check it out . All I can see is coolant pissing out the bottom of the timing cover .

Offset meaning pulley size ?

Not to sure if I'm liking that colour ... It's not ugly I just don't think it will suit a ke70 ... How much am I in for for a 4age water pump ? Mines either shat itself today or its gaskets gone. Is it major work to get to ? And does in need to be a special rwd water pump or can it be a fwd ?
