  1. last time i saw on the dyno it made ~105kw @ toyoshow08
  2. Let you fingers do the walking and search for "Auto Parts Recyclers Toyota"
  3. already seen it, and yes one can only hope that it makes an impact
  4. just remember to change the timing belt and water pump, that goes for both people doing the conversion. if you don't, i suggest you want to order some sticky rice and sushi with you cooked 20v's :(
  5. might have to get under my seca and have a look :(
  6. 24mm? doesnt sound like its a stock one :P i thought the stock swaybar was 20 - 22mm hmmm what colour was the swaybar?
  7. some engine packages don't include the gearbox, but if you happen to score one with a box on it then by all means use the box that its on the engine, it just mean you will have a spare gearbox. not to my knowledge but i would rather use the box that came with the engine, rather than use a the c50 on the 4afc. plus depending on the halfcut/engine package if its a ST you may get a c56 which has a different ratios again :P
  8. the 4afc transmission is shite, so use the transmission and shafts that comes in the halfcut. possibly, but most integrate the 20v loom into the standard one just so it has a more factory look
  9. well you going to need the efi tank and associated fuel lines and wiring. then its pretty much dropping in the motor and wiring it up. hmmm the hardest part of your conversion would be integrating the wiring of the 20v into the existing 4age loom.
  10. oh i was a holden supporter, considering my first car was a commodore, but when that got defected and i parted it out i got my first corolla, plus i only had room for 2 cars, and they are now both toyotas, but if i had the chance and room to restore an older holden(48-215(FX) to HR) i would but sadly enough i can't so it toyotas only for now :D
  11. you have to much front bias, but so do all ae9X corollas changing the brake master should help even it out, (i didnt with brake conversion, but each to their own) the order of bleeding the brakes is correct, ive always had someone pump the brakes until they were hard, then opened the bleeder, i always have the second person call out before the brake pedal is flat the to floor.
  12. will depend on 1) if the 20v is going into a carby or efi powered ae9X 2) if you are going to use a halfcut or engine package
  13. instigator it has to do with the model/chassis number on the compliance plate :y: you might be able to use the original brackets, but they may need to be modified.
  14. yep i did the full s2 brake upgrade to my cs which had disc/drum and i didnt change the brake master, only noticed a slight increase in the front bias, but it wasnt and still isnt a major concern. but for the most part of it the ae9x already suffered from to much front bias to begin with, hence the larger rear discs on the next model(ae10x) :y: which will hopefully be the only thing i need to do to the brakes, when my turbo conversion is finished
  15. did you read the rest of the thread? anyways i got a my flyer/letter yesterday in the mail because i entered last year, I'm going to fill it out and send it in sometime in the next week. now for those who want to know if there will be a display yes there will be, its a combined effort with tuned4street. Thanks to Murd 55's good idea :y: Now on your entry form where is asks "will your vehicle be part of a club display?" you tick Yes, then where asks "if yes, which club?" write in "Rollaclub/Tuned4Street"
  16. don't be so tight arsed and go to you local parts store and buy one for $20 - $30,
  17. you know what i have never looked at the piston sizes on the different calipers, so you may very well be correct in that aspect bolwer.
  18. ones sold locally here by the manufacturer, i mean there were genuine JDM pulsars like gtirs there as well, but quite a few were ADM as well.
  19. the chevy caprice isnt technically a commodore, its technically a holden caprice/statesman :D commodores ended up being badged as chevy luminas :y: the price of living close handy to the holdens plant in adelaide and being a mad holden supporter at one stage, but i saw the light when i bought my first corolla quite a few years ago :y:
  20. its all good bolwer.
  21. bolwer you forgot the s2 fronts are also vented as well :y: other than that you hit the nail on the heard
  22. yep my seca is out even though there was japanese variants, but last they did accept ADM pulsars,

  25. clear lenses on the front bumper indicators were never standard on the ae9X's but you can get them from oversea's http://www.autostyle.co.za/prodlist.php?pi...e&showall=1 << shop is based in South Africa though
