  1. one thing i didnt say was that the intermittent idling problem caused by leaking caps if left long enough becomes an intermittent stalling problem :lolcry: the way you stated it was like it was only your model that has had trouble with leaking caps, all i did was point out that there was more that 1 model in the toyota range that have had a this problem, and guess what they have all from come from toyota in japan. yes the sportivo was designed and built solely for australia, but was manufacturer in japan, then modified off the line, sent over here the "locally" produced parts add to complete the build Sportivo info on carsales
  2. yes i did, but then again i know of more BT's tossing rods than anything else in the 4a series, but then it could be just that more people were crying over the fact they killed the BT, so who knows
  3. tell that to the 20v ST and 1JZ owners that have an intermittent idling problem as well, both caused through leaking capacitors so really it isnt just your "limited make" but yeah atleast now you know what the problem is/was, i remember saying something back on page 3 bout pulling the ecu and taking a look inside theres a guide on toymods for repairing/replacing the caps on a 20v ecu
  4. i thought you were doing just a straight up 20v into an *e7*, that why i said you could use the standard ecu, and now that you have outlined a little further what you are doing, with the motor, it is easier to understand why you are going with an aftermarket ecu. i personally i would have gone with the BT from the start (but thats just me) http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=18900 << guessing you have read this from club4ag
  5. going for an aftermarket ecu isnt a required item for doing the rwd conversion, but if you chasing more power it is
  6. first gen ST = C52 second gen ST = C56 is a halfcut or is it an engine package?
  7. don't need the vin munber if you have the toyota part no :hmm: 19500 9080‑16030 4AGE..AE92 90919‑02183 4AGE..AE92..(GT, FXGT) try both those numbers above :no2: (I'm not entirely sure which one, and I'm not going out to the shed at this time of night)

  13. yes AAMI underwriters Just Cars Just Cars do have 3rd party fire and theft now(or they have done for the past 3 years)
  14. front bumpers are interchangable, sideskirts might need to be modified to fit(uncertain), rear bumpers arent interchangable.
  15. believe it or not but i found it to be the other way round for just cars, full comp was a little over $500 a year for full comp, and that was for a car with turbo conversion, ( was was looking onto buying and insuring a turbo corolla and i was under 25 at the time) and Shannons wanted $2000 a year :) mind you these quote were all a rough estimation at the time,

  22. i defected from nokia to sony ericsson and i killed the sony in under 12 months :D so i went back to nokia  the only nokia ive actually killed a 3310 and that took over 3 years of abuse ie, drowned in water, ice cream mix, drop on concrete god knows how many times, left in on top on my car and drove away(it hit the ground @ roughly 40-50 kms an hour and survived :P), and many many more thing like the latter.
