Hey, at least their food quality is consistant :) Plus, at least they actually take the initiative. Which fast food company was one of the first to introduce this "healthy menu" thing? Apart from Subway, the only name that comes to mind is Maccas. Which fast food is, as far as I know, the only company to include their nutritional values on the wrappers (although it's still in the process and only some items are labelled at the moment)? Maccas. True, their food isn't the healthiest in the world. We all know that. But I think Maccas should at least get some credit for trying.

Irokin: I don't think I have much to worry about in that department, I haven't grown AT ALL in about... 8 years??? Mel: Yes, AUS481, or USD343. Mind you that is not inc tax or shipping. Tax I would assume to be about 10%, shipping for the lot is estimated at AUD76. So even if I assumed that shipping for everything else was completely free, it would still only be AUD605 for the suit, which is still a good $300+ cheaper than I can get it here... Now I just wish I had more money to spend on the underwear section... I'm thinking wearing the same 'jammys and socks for 4 days is going to be a REAL drag (bring lotsa those wet wipes things and deodorant!). Under Mr Rob's advice I took the luxury of buying 2 balaclavas, so that will be a bit better... But still. Am completely breaking the bank here so I think I'll just have to hope I don't sweat too much...

Actually, a friend of mine used to work as one of those people who goes around and checks restaurants / food outlets etc for cleanliness and hygene etc, and she told me that Maccas was usually one of the BEST, and consistantly so...

Grimwolge: I'm all ears. Nitephyre: I usually do, hence I have a version of it still, but it's not a very recent version. I use a content management system, and I've done a bit of work on the site from work (after hours) so I was working on the hosting server. Also because it is a "blog" style site I enter everything directly onto the site, and not on my PC.. Obviously someone out there doesn't like me. This is the... 4th time I think, this has happened...

Farken hell. Either my stupid host has "lost" all my files again, or someone has hacked my site again. This has happened TOO MANY BLOODY TIMES NOW, and personally at the moment I can't be bothered to try to get everything up and running again. For one thing, I've lost all the recent data, and for another it took a fair bit of work to get it set up the way I wanted it setup, and now it's ALL GONE. I need to find a real host sometime. One with a proper DB. One that has proper security. One that has proper backup. None of this crappy home-job business. But darn it, all that costs more money. And money's something I don't really have at the moment. I guess fookstar.com is going to be defunct for awhile. suck.

Just ordered all my stuff. Bought the nomex 'jammys from Extreme Motorsport today cause they had a sale. Spoke to the guys at Demon Tweaks, they're friendly and helpful, and everything I ordered was in stock so *apparently* it should arrive to me in about 1-2 days. Haha, yeah right. Oh well, if it gets to me sometime next week I'll be happy :)

I go to Maccas because: 1) it's cheap 2) it's open at times when other places aren't 3) it's consistantly... maccas. Which means not great, but not shit either 4) even when I go overseas, it's still consistantly maccas. 5) of all the fast food chains, they are the ones that appear to put the most back into the community (with RMC house etc etc) 6) they aren't much, if at all, worse than most of the other fast food chains 7) their "healthy" menu actually seems quite reasonable

Just spoke to BRD, the cheapest 2 layer suit they do is the Sparco Sprint 5 (the one I'm interested in getting), for $1000 + freight. Hmm... DT has it for $481 (not inc tax + shipping)...

Went to the CAMS office in Milton, and Lisa is so much nicer to talk to face to face than Terry in Melbourne over the phone. In any case, I got my 2S licence refunded, they said CAMS doesn't really have a policy about this, but if your licence is like a month or so old then they usually give you a refund, just to be nice, even though when you apply for a new licence you get a full 12 months again. Now I just hope the Malaysian side will respond quickly and that I'll get the licence soon. Lisa's faxed it down to Melbourne (and it'll actually go into express post on Friday) and attached a note that it HAS to be back to me before the 25th of next month... I've also managed to skip the rally lecture, they had my name on the attendance list in 2002. AND, I've also managed to get a signature for an OLT for Queensland Challenge, YAY. So yes, 1 more signature on Sunday, and I'm all systems GO! Have not called BRD yet, tried this morning but didn't get an answer. Might try again after this. John @ GP Cars has an ERG one for $500... tempting tempting but I somehow think not much is going to come close to DemonTweaks for price.

Just spoke to CAMS, can't use previous events for OLT but they said apply for a drivers anyway and they'll send me out a temp to cover the ECT. Also I have to pay the full fee, can't upgrade from a 2S, even though my 2S is only a month old...

Hmm, might have to buy the suit blind, can't seem to find anyone in Brisbane who actually stocks Sparco suits (apart from GP Cars, and John is too nice to be taken advantage of like that!)

I'm looking through the sup regs and filling in my forms now... Where is the pre-event scrutineering? All it seems to say is that it must be attended between 27th September and 2nd October, am I missing the venue?

Oh? That's super... I'm guessing that would mean that even if I just get an NRNL now, once I complete the 2 OLT's I can go straight to an NRL?

Mel: At the moment I'm looking at the Sparco Sprint 5 (same as Robs) in a size 48 (smallest). The measurements sort of match... I'm looking at putting an order through to Demon Tweaks (since I also need to get new boots, nomex underwear, balaclava, socks etc) But I'll call up BRD Racing tomorrow too... BUSY DAY!!! If they ask who, should I say you? If I can get a full NRL, I will, if I can't then I'll settle for an NRNL. Both are same price, so I might as well get an NRL... Although I suppose I could probably upgrade later, I wonder if I'll need to pay again??? And yes, checked CAMS site, 2 OLT's... Might talk to the CAMS office tomorrow too, and find out more. After all I need to go there and get the forms in anyway... How I got myself into this? Same as you. Know the right people, be in the right places at the right time :)

Mel: I need an NRL, and yes I know it takes awhile to get done, esp because mine has to go back to Malaysia. Even renewing my 2S licence usually takes at least 3 months! I'm hoping upgrading it won't require going back to Malaysia... I'm going to look into it tomorrow. I can't do motorkhana on Saturday, I have prior commitments I can't get out of. Will endevour to do khanacross on Sunday though. How many OLT's do I have to do, do you know? Rob mentioned maybe 2? Gosh if it is, the next event after that is the 17th October, which is cutting it REALLY FRIGGIN CLOSE! At the moment window shopping for gear, rough calculations put me in more than $1000, ouch. Will also have to speak to Sheridan tomorrow to see if the rally lecture I did ages ago would be okay, or if I have to do another one...
