  1. Hmm, that bad huh? HMMM... I'll go down and look at them again. ps: answer your phone!
  2. I just got the entry forms, sup regs etc, might upload them later. Have just had a brief look, and umm... *ahem* <start whinge> $65??? For a motorkhana??? WTF? So much for "grassroots" huh? For that price we'd better either run ALL the tests - twice even - or get prize money or something... In fact, $65 is the same price as the Australian Championships if I'm not mistaken... Given that each test will take maybe 30 seconds to complete and we typically get about 6 tests done, that's all of 3 MINUTES driving time for $65... And what's with the lack of FWD/RWD classes for everything apart from D class? What makes D class so special? And, yay, $65 gets you entry, plus 2 tickets to presentation, plus entry for a service vehicle (or at least that's how I read it). Yay. What if my "service vehicle" is the same vehicle I'm driving on the event? Or am I expected to also bring along the mighty Camry? What if I don't have anyone to bring to the presentation? Can I get a discount? Sorry, but this all just came as a bit of a shock. It's supposed to be a motorkhana, not a rally... <end whinge>
  3. So are you going to take me for a drive and make me giggle like a little schoolboy again? ;)
  4. Oooh, KE15 getting engine upgrade ;)
  5. Using your old AE86 box... I did get another one but it's of unknown condition, and it doesn't have a bellhousing (it had a Jap one, I sold it) so I thought since I know yours works, I'll use yours... Unless you recon otherwise?
  6. Nick - I uploaded them to the FTP site you gave me a looooong time ago, but I can't remember what default folder it goes to?
  7. Photos uploaded, somewhere on the Rollaclub site... I don't actually know where it is?
  8. ... but if you owed any of those cars you probably wouldn't want to work on them because if you could afford them then well... you'd have more than enough money to pay someone else to get dirty ;)
  9. ... and yet again, Rob proves to be The Man... Brakes now bled, they appear to stick a bit but I'm assuming this is just the wear-in period (since the calipers haven't been used for so long). I briefly checked the bores before I put them together (didn't fully rebuild them, just took apart and reassembled), they looked ok. Gearbox is unbolted, just need to unbolt the crossmember and it'll fall out. Ready for AE86 gearbox to go in. Swaybar half installed, just need to mark and drill holes in chassis rail, and tighten bolts... Should I put a crush tube in? Might do that at a later date...
  10. Peter: No, I sold yours on to Jamie (although I think it might still be at Robs). Yours wasn't the diff I was after, it was the less common D series diff (6.62") and not the T series that I was after (6.7") I've put oil in the diff, wanted to bleed the brakes but one of the silly bleed valves has decided to get very stuck and very round, GRRR... The 14" wheels do fit, *just*, woo hoo... Have trial fitted the swaybar and re-bent the brake lines to better clear the bump stops, and started to drop the old gearbox... Anyways, off to Redwarf Motorsports HQ (as Mel calls it) to see if The Man can remove this bleed valve...
  11. MY STUFF ARRIVED ;) SOOOOOO COOL ;) okay, fine... so the socks look REALLY GAY and the cream colored balaclavas aren't REALLY to my taste... But the shoes are excellent (I'd even go as far as saying they're better than my current pair, but they did cost more) and the suit is super sexy ;)
  12. My 4K put out 32hp. Yay...
  13. Jetbike.
  14. Oh bummer, can't link to BIG photos, only little ones... In that case I'll see if I can upload it to the Rollaclub server tonight...
  15. They're pretty beefy aren't they? ;)
  16. "Look at moi, look at moi, kimmeh... I've got one word for you: Manbag" ;)
  17. Heh... Have just thought about something - these brakes are going to be a cow to bleed. First the hydraulic handbrake, then the fact that the bleed nipple is well below the highest point in the line... Haha, have also just realised that my rear brakes are now bigger than my fronts! Fronts are slotted vented 272mm, rears are solid 280mm! Makes me wonder... Will my rims still fit???
  18. Some photos: Left on the todo list before next weekend (assuming everything goes well): - put oil in diff - connect up brake lines - maybe make new brake lines, the current ones go rather close to the bumpstops, shouldn't hit but if they do it'll be a bad bad thing - bleed brakes - replace gearbox - make plate to cover old shifter hole in transmission tunnel - put new tailshaft in (when I get it back) - install rear swaybar And at some point in time... - fabricate some sort of handbrake mechanism...
  19. Some photos I took at the khanacross (I only took photos after it had all ended, was too slack to take photos for the rest of the day ;))
  20. BIG pictures of Hal (left as links so that not everyone has to download them...): http://images5.fotki.com/v72/filesNQP/bfe5...92/CRW_5969.jpg http://images6.fotki.com/v92/fileKand/bfe5...33/PICT0032.jpg And here are 2 others taken by Haikal: http://haikal.freeshell.org/photos/2004/Au...s/CRW_1228.html http://haikal.freeshell.org/photos/2004/Au...s/CRW_0949.html
  21. Hehe, that brand is familiar... I used to have a tacho made by them, I sold it to Jamie...
  22. If I had time, I would do that. I don't. The fact that wrecking yards open at hours that I am stuck in the office doesn't help... I was hoping that someone had some lying around (or within easy access) that they could measure. Else I suppose when I get a chance I'll head out to Wacol and start measuring...
  23. Further slotted one of the spring plates, not perfect but should work now... Would anyone happen to have any other spring plates from something larger - say an XT130 Corona or something? If so, would you be able to measure how far apart the holes are?
  24. Hmm... I prefer to visualise a legion of screaming fangirls... Or a cheerleader squad! Bring It On!!!
  25. Heh, because I was kinda lazy to edit the other one? ;) And besides, the car probably stands out so much now with the paintjob and stickers that it would be hard to mistake it for any other car ;)
