  1. All plumbed up:
  2. That's the same as the one in the KE35. As far as I know, you can't buy them new, so you'll either have to buy a normal one to replace (but this will make the shoulder strap really high and tend to go across your neck instead of your shoulders...) or you'll have to look for another one at the wreckers...
  3. 3 strap? What do you mean?
  4. Hydraulic handbrake is in the car now. All plumbed up, and bled (I think). I haven't driven the car in so long I've forgotten what the pedal is supposed to feel like, and with the front brakes working so well, the rears could be completely non-functional and I probably wouldn't even notice :P But the pedal feels relatively good, and the handbrake is also firm, so I think it's okay. First thoughts? Nowhere near as good as I hoped. But then again that's probably because my MC is too big for the little drums. That said, it works a SHITELOAD better than the old cable handbrake, and I can stop the car on a hill with just 1 finger holding the lever, where's I actually had to reef the cable handbrake... Still having trouble consistantly locking the rears up, and it's not something I'm really very happy to test out here... Going to take the drums off and clean everything up to make sure that's all good. Yay :)
  5. COOL! I like pictures of me :P
  6. What size jellybeans?
  7. Looks nice Ben, would certainly be fun to drive. I would guess 2 cartons of beer, simply because I recon you probably got it for a bargain (One of my friends just got a pretty darn good looking 2-door KE30 sedan for 2 cartons and a resonator)
  8. Junior: Excellent :P So you got all those issues sorted out? Will have to see this car up close and personal sometime :)
  9. I may have a faster car, but for some strange reason I'm actually slower than I was in the slower car...
  10. Haha, I think it would be a fair while before I even begin to approach the level of uber-skill that Rob displays at motorkhanas :P
  11. I've already got one of those 10-LED ones from Jaycar, I don't know how accurate it is but I suppose I can tell roughly what my mixtures are like. I'm more wondering how much the signal from the EGO affects what the computer decides to do. I'm guessing the computer would control fuel mixtures mostly from what the MAP sensor says? Esp since the EGO sensor is basically useless until it comes up to operating temperature? No idea...
  12. Ah right :) Like mine you mean :P
  13. Don't the BMW's etc HAVE proper HID lights? I thought they did.
  14. That is very, very, very COOL. Hmm... *rubs chin* :P I would assume it goes between say your MAP sensor and the ECU and alters the signals? I wonder how much the signal from the EGO affects the 4A computer? Interesting...
  15. hoooooly cow, apparently that AE86 is also running a 7AGTE, and not including NOS pulls 450hp at the wheels!!! Hmm, I wonder how creditable that info is...
  16. ECU signal modifiers?
  17. Not to mention probably shortening the life of your bulbs due to extra heat retained...
  18. Heh, with both of these "mods" I recon your lights would be dimmer than usual anyway, so no chance of blinding anyone else :P
  19. I have no idea, I would assume so... I've heard of systems like this before (Vortex comes to mind, was really popular for carby cars in Malaysia awhile ago), but it still sounds like a gimmick...
  20. Why would it reduce the life of your oil filter? If anything at all, you would think (or like to think) that the oil filter would normally catch any particles that go through it anyway, without need of a magnet... And if you had a magnet would that mean that all the particles would be sucked to one side of it - would that affect the way the filter works?
  21. A thread from PF Those Decel ones are really VERY nice!
  22. And for the HID look :P
  23. DIY Silvervision bulbs Umm... I wonder how you come up with a bright idea like this :) Let's all paint our bulbs to make them look different! I've got some red HT paint I used to paint my calipers, maybe I should paint my headlight bulbs to make my headlights red! :P
  24. Heh. Okay, another gimmick I recon... This guy got an old computer fan, took the blades off and stuck it in his air intake to produce... "Air Twister"! And this is a testimonial to how well it works :P Anyone want to try this? Hehe...
  25. This, also, appears to be a big seller in Malaysia... A device called a "MicroCompressor" that basically plugs into one of the PCV valves on your engine, and bleeds air in to give you "more power and better fuel economy". Basically it appears to lean your mixtures out... A "review" of MicroCompressor
