  1. That is SOOOOOOO cool :D
  2. Any particular theme? What timeframe?
  3. No idea, I wish I could even get the sup regs...
  4. Heh, I have no idea. I'll ask Ted closer to the day.
  5. Is it? Bugger! And yes, it should be good. We ran 2 full days this last weekend past (not ladies only though), and it was really good to see everyone improve - some even by leaps and bounds - and everyone had a really big grin on their face by the end of the day... *edit* Do you have any other details on the Ironman? Where are the sprints held? Around Qld Raceway?
  6. Ok... Last time I was at the bike shop there had several different type ends on their cables. The TB end is quite straightforward, any particular sort of end I should be looking for the pedal end?
  7. Ah, it's all becoming clearer to me now. Does the end of the cable thread through those theaded sleeves?
  8. Heh, yes it is rather isn't it? TB end: it looks like your cable sleeve is threaded (on the right side of the photo)? Or am I looking at the wrong thing? Firewall: Is that end threaded as well Against a washer? Pedal: Did you drill a hole in the pedal to put the bolt through?
  9. Peter: Ah, large format, not medium, my mistake. And if you read my post properly, you will notice I said they WEREN'T your run-off-the-mill camera, they're a whole special sort of camera :D Most digital cameras, on the other hand, are more closely compared to 35mm cameras (which the 'blad isn't). Therefore would be rather difficult to "compare" them as far as resolution goes, to a digital camera... It would really depend on the digital backing plate used with the camera.
  10. Hmm, quite possibly. Might have a poke around some cars the next time I'm at a wreckers...
  11. I'm not totally familiar with 'blads etc, but they aren't your run-off-the-mill 35mm camera (aren't they medium format cameras?), and most digital cameras are more easily compared to 35mm cameras. I think the main limitation if you wanted to take digital photos with a 'blad would be the actual sensor etc in the backing plate, as I'm fairly certain they never came originally as a digital camera.
  12. Quite possibly. The old cable is too long anyway, it is currently wrapped around my brake booster. I did sort of inspect the cable (and oiled it while I was at it), it seems fine... Maybe I'll just stick with it for a bit :D
  13. I think I like my limbs too much :D And besides, with less limbs I won't be able to make full use of those wonderful pieces of equipment
  14. I must just suck - my best effort is 2 hours to remove the gearbox alone. Worst effort about 3.5 hours to remove the same gearbox. Haven't pulled an engine out yet, but it took me quite awhile to get the 4AGE into the KE35...
  15. Hey are a whole different league of camera...
  16. Here it is: I'm guessing on the pedal end I'm going to have to use some sort of washer arrangement, and on the other end umm... Yeah. No idea...
  17. Umm... I'll take another photo tonight I think :D
  18. Not the best picture in the world (will try to take another one tonight), but here is one: I'm using the original KE35 throttle cable, the sheath is threaded on the end, and has 2 nuts. It slots into the bracket behind the throttle body, and then the nuts hold it on.
  19. If the wheel is illegal, then yes you could get a defect. Generally as long as it's at least 350mm you'll get away with it.
  20. A little while ago we had a discussion about replacing throttle cables with bike ones: Do you buy just the cable, or the cable and the sheath? If you just buy the cable, how do you thread it through the original sheath? Or, if you buy the sheath as well, how do you replicate the throttle body end that has the 2 locking nuts? Any pics? Needing some inspiration here... :D
  21. Tom: center.net.au Cropping: That's basically what digital zoom is - cropping. No magnifying or anything, just cropping. It only looks bigger because that's all you see.
  22. Tom: Many non-pro digital cameras really struggle in low light, and my old camera that had bulb mode was no different (Casio QV2800). Anything longer than say 8-10 seconds and the noise would become trully unbearable. And yes, had heard about the FZ10 not really performing well in low light, which was the main reason I bought the A1 instead. But yes, 12x image stabilised lens... *FUN*
  23. Oh hey look, silly me - I have the sup regs. Coming up soon. *edit* don't know where to put them, so they're on my site for a little while: Entry form Sup regs
  24. Mel: I had a clean sheet day too, no WD's or posts. But then I did do quite a few 3-point turns because there were a few turns I couldn't make, and I definately wasn't the quickest around any of the tests. I'm usually in class B, but that's just cause we've always gone by the stock wheelbase of the car. Seems that with all the suspension modifications my wheelbase is now longer than standard...
