  1. Very common for Datsun1200 owners to put KE3x or KE5x diffs into their cars, mostly for strength reasons. The original Datsun1200 diff is rather small...
  2. Heh, sounds familiar :jamie: Welcome to Rollaclub, by the way. Hey, you've got the same catch can as me :abuse:
  3. Is there? Cool, I should look it up.
  4. If you have no multimeter just use a test light. Will be sufficient for what you're doing. To use one, easy. Clip the clip to a ground (like... a bolt, or some other piece of metal that has no paint). Then touch the tip of it to whatever you want to test. If there is power, it'll light up.
  5. There's Trent, who's also from Tamworth NSW, but I haven't seen him on this forum for a long time (was he ever on this forum?). Don't know how mechanically minded he is either.
  6. Oh, make sure your light switch works too. You can test this by popping the cover off the light (like you do when you're changing bulbs). The switch will have 3 positions - On, Door, Off. In On position it grounds on the roof of the car, the light should be on. In Door position it tries to ground to the door switches. You can try to ground this terminal, and the light should come on. In Off position it doesn't go anywhere.
  7. It's got front and rear brake upgrades (but still drums on the back), VL turbo diff with minispool center. Still running T50 too.
  8. Could it be possible that when you put your headunit in you accidently crimped/cut a wire you weren't meant to? Or removed a screw that was holding down an earthing wire? Else, check the door switches, if they aren't rusty then check that they're actually getting some sort of voltage. They work by earthing on the car body when the door opens. No voltage means trace wires till you find out where it's gone wrong.
  9. Oh, and this is also now running a 4AGTE. Geez how fun would that be...
  10. No idea. In some past life I've probably seen that photo and posted it here before :jamie: And it's now got KE35 grille and lights and bumper. No more square lights.
  11. This is really quite neat. There aren't many square headlight fronts I've liked, but I recon this one actually looks rather neat.
  12. Hahahaha :)
  13. One of my mates used to have a twincarb meteor, and it used to pull big skids :) Even bigger skids than my GSR, but that might have had something to do with the fact that I had semi slicks on so couldn't really light them up :D
  14. Hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa - you have turbo timer but you have no turbo :)
  15. Turbo timer? Is your car turbo? I was talking to Ah Ming and Yoga on the phone yesterday, wow my malay is so crap now :)
  16. Photo of mirror! What is the thing above your steering wheel column? The box below your tacho. That's so strange, your dash is like the KE55 dashes we got here, but everything else about your car looks like KE3x here :)
  17. Oh cool, so that's your car :) Very nice, I like your wheels! How did you mount your mirrors? I notice they look like more modern ones, mounted in the corner of the window?
  18. Australia needs TT, full stop! We have no TT here, well nothing equivalent anyway. TT rocks. Hahaha, how come Roland gets to get the title "handsome one"? :) Now we need a photo of 20v_ke35 :D
  19. Wow, so cool :) Hehehehe... That is so wrong :D Which one is you? Where is Roland these days? He joined here ages ago but never came back :( Maybe we scared him off :D The malay guy on he left looks like one of my ex-classmates, his name wouldn't happen to be Zaidi would it? I would be guessing no, but you never know! ;)
  20. Electronic Name & Message Badge Coooooool :) Just like a "Hi, my name is..." sticker, except much better :D
  21. For all you Star Wars fans out there... This is funky :) Deathstar subwoofer Check out how much it weighs!!!
  22. The 4AGE has to use iridium spark plugs for some bizzare reason (it actually has a sticker on the engine that says to only use iridium plugs). When I took the old ones out of the engine when I got it, they had probably done a good 150000k's (they were original Toyota plugs), but still looked almost as good as new. Chucked in a new set ($80 later...) and haven't looked at them since.
  23. Will it have a BOV?
  24. Wow, where on earth did you get your paint? Considering red is one of the more expensive colors too... I think I paid about $150+ or so for my paint, but mine is untinted white and black which are really cheap. Then + primers and thinners etc, probably came up to about $300 or so
  25. I think I have one of those spray painting books, if you want to have a look through it. Doesn't tell you very much more than what you'd find on the Internet in a few hours though :)
