    Sad Day

    Maybe it's stuck on something?
  2. I believe Josh's car (the pink one) is sponsored by (probably among others) Streeter by Streeter. Hence the big Streeter by Streeter sticker plastered across it.
  3. The cage in the pink thing was a home made cage. And no, it wouldn't even come close to complying with any standards I don't think, even though apparently it has helped a fair bit with stiffening the body. I don't think I'd like to be in a roll in that car either, I'd probably end up worse off than if it didn't have a cage at all...
  4. So we can see what you look like lah!
  5. If there is one, it'll be on the throttle body. Actually, my sister-in-law's Honda Civic also has one, as does my Satria GTi, as did my Lancer GSR. So chances are, it has an idle control screw :D
  6. Not true, both my Corolla and my Camry have an idle screw.

    :D
  8. Good point :D I want a Celsior =)
  9. You'd generally only get an error code from the ECU if the check engine light has come on.
  10. Oh cool, I've never actually been (or really seen) on the actual track there, I've only been through the entry road...
  11. Hmm, maybe I should have done that with Haikals manifold...
  12. Nice Wheels :D
  13. There are some arguments not worth winning...
  14. Those are such cool photos! Where were they taken? That isn't Pat Kennedy's is it?
  15. I think my "comply" Rob means compliying to standards set by the racing body ie CAMS, ANDRA etc etc.
  16. Oh wow, that's such a cool little engine stand thingy, complete with an ignition barrel and gauges and stuff!!!
  17. I'm actually rather pressed for space in my engine bay... I probably *could* squeeze my battery where the original one used to be, but it would be a pretty darn tight squeeze...
  18. For future reference, the stock 4AC/4AGE mounts don't have any visible welds in them. One (drivers side) is a bit like a stalk and I believe is cast: The other side (with the oil filter) is a folded sheet of steel:
  19. So this really should read "I'm using *modified* 4A-C engine mounts out of an AE86 sprinter"... And it's much of a muchness really. Modify engine side of the mounts or modify the crossmember mounts. Both require cutting, both require welding, neither is really easier than the other I don't think...
  20. Actually KE35 and KE55 seats aren't all interchangeable. I leant this the hard way when I wanted to get those Honda seats into Pinky, and made the adapter plates using the rails from the KE35 as a template, and then went to bolt them in Pinky and found the rails in Pinky to be different...
  21. Ah righty-o, so you've cut and welded the engine-side of the mounts then.
  22. I suppose as Rob says, "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing properly" :jamie: 4A bottom ends tend to be pretty darn strong anyway...
  23. And what a car it is! I love the thing :jamie:
  24. You probably blew the fuse when you were installing the head unit. Replace fuse and try again.
  25. For some reason (maybe because the Datto1200 is very light?) Corolla diffs seems to stand up to a lot of abuse when installed in Datsun1200's. I now know of 3 Datto1200 race cars with locked Corolla diffs, all pushing a fair bit more power than my KE35, and I've only ever heard of one of them breaking one axle (in the 2 or 3 years it's been running). And this is in a car that was pushing like 140+hp atw...
