AWD pushy... That's an interesting thought. Would it even be of much benefit? I suppose for a mountain bike, if you're riding up a muddy hill or something... How on earth do those work? It looks like a driveshaft? Bizzare!

For anyone who's interested, this KE20 (or whatever it is) is running full AE86 suspension and brakes (including lower control arms etc), apart from the rear leaf springs... That's why it's got so much track :P

Unfortunately the design on the old T50 makes the short shifter actually not very straightforward to fabricate (it had Mr Wayne Daniels scratching his head for a bit). I like my short shifter, but you're right - sometimes it isn't all that bad having a bit of throw. I'm still getting used to mine, and sometimes fine myself crunching 2nd gear a little, or trying to go from 5th to reverse when I'm supposed to get to 4th...

xany: I don't think anywhere make short shifters for the early style T50 (like yours), at least I couldn't find anything when I was looking. So it'll have to be a custom one I think.

NZD2500 = just over AUD2350!!! Wow. Maybe one day when I get prize money for... Umm. Something. Being the 100000000th customer in some random shop or something.

BTW, this event is fully booked out. I've been asked to get a range of future dates for people, if they are interested, and if we get enough people together we will book a day.
