  1. Ive gone stiffer, wider, lower and also threw an advan sticker on there as a throwback to the KYB-ADVAN FX :D
  2. I know these arent all secas but an 82 is an 82... this one is rad apart from the sticker bombing... You can make any car look good if you get its stance right, thats what you should focus on - not body kits... Another problem is there arent too many nice 82's, especially secas, so there isnt much in terms of inspiration...
  3. Just borrow a bolt off the seca to find out ;)
  4. So like totally yeah... Also, found the little biatch knock coming from my rear drivers side caliper - everything is tight but the top half wobbles, slider pin things worn maybe? Oddly enough, The new spring rates are 10/8k whereas the ones before them are 6/4k. They seem to be working alot better with the car and the shocks and surprisingly have a very comfortable ride (dafuq?) the car is more planted, stable, easier to drive and much more predictable on the limit of grip. Very happy with them! :)
  5. Getting there Tom!! Finally saw one of these in the flesh yesterday, funky looking little car... i like it :D
  6. Why is everyone constantly hating on this build? LOL Sure you can run a stock box, but why use a clutch to change gears when all it does is cost you time and increase the chance of driver error? Also this box through racing conditions in the Ksev should last forever!
  7. Thanks man! All FWD 4AGE equipped xE8x's are AE82s.
  8. Yeah front sway bushes are fubared... got some on their way along with other goodies :) I have video of my pb but i can't post it up because of other reasons... sorry lads! if i could i would Whenever the weight shifts to the left there is a knock in the rear.
  9. Fluids changed, car is now feeling alot better again. Lots of parts have been ordered and need to be installed by next monday.. fingers crossed they get here in time. There is a knock coming from the rear of the car. I thought it was the wheel bearing or camber bolts, both of which i changed and tightened respectively because they were loose, still the knocking is there... any ideas guys? only other thing i can think of is the exhaust?
  10. Went up to Winton today with a few mates, had a ball! Passing GTR's and WRX's and getting TX3 drivers mad. I had an issue with the R888's, not only was the weather cold, but they're just too big for the car and i couldn't warm them up regardless of what tyre pressure I ran. This caused them to be really snappy and unpredictable which made the car a handful all day... it was pretty fun though :P The A1RM's pulled up better than anything I have ever experienced, felt great braking later than all sorts off cars! :D But, I wasn't happy with my suspension setup, the front is rolling around too much compared to the rear and the grip is too high for the springs so the nose is diving and the car is rolling too much through the corners for my liking. I was just starting to gel with the car but decided to call it a day in session 3 due to doing in my rear wheel bearing and a few mates having some bad luck of their own. Anyway, here are my session times. Session 1: 2:14.2800 1:52.7850 1:49.3340 1:48.4470 2:00.0830 1:50.4730 1:48.6590 Session 2: 2:05.2700 2:00.4480 1:55.0730 2:02.7710 2:00.6170 1:53.9150 1:50.4480 Session 3: 2:07.6110 2:01.9410 2:20.0790 1:52.9330 1:49.1490 1:48.7830 1:47.9560
  11. Should have left the hub on the car. - remove the caliper and rotor. - Get a ball joint (or tie rod? can't remember) separator to take the stud out. (cheap tool from bursons) - Use some kind of spacer and a wheel nut you wont use to draw it back in. Takes me about 10 to 15 minutes max to change the studs on a wheel and it always pulls them in nice and straight
  12. I must say these cars are just awesome, i have had a soft spot for them since seeing them going sideways at rally events as a kid :D Must be a ball to drive especially with the FJ20 in there
  13. Nah both trackdays are on sundays but friday will be the last chance i have to tinker with the car. I'm gonna tap it and put the civic plug in with a fibre washer and maybe some teflon tape for good measure, should sort it out aye
  14. No I'm not mate, I'm going winton twice in 4 weeks so i think thats enough for me ;) Also I just picked up a civic sump plug (*jumps into flamesuit*) gonna re tap the sump and put a bit of teflon tape around it. If that doesnt seal it then i will weld all the holes hahahaha
  15. Teflon tape helped a fair bit, but not enough... need to find a solution to this problem before friday!
  16. Ive tried all kinds of washers and none fixed it...
  17. Things done today: - QFM A1RM pads installed on the front. (shit theyre good!!) - Head bolts re-torqued - Bigport Cams (VTAKZ YO!!) - New timing belt Things to do before trackday: - a skid - change all fluids - fix leaky sump plug (gonna try giving teflon tape a go as a quick fix, anyone reckon it will work?)
