Nice sedan!! :D
Just a tip on the motors, if you want speed don't bother with the FE heads... get yourself a 4AGE head to pop onto that 7A bottom end ;)
Good job man, keep it up
$200 plus a fishtank, cash my way? possibly may have a sofa, might be slightly torn apart from that its immaco.
Sad to hear you are moving on from this beast :(
Cool toyota badge, wheres the engine?
Car looks good, blue definitely stands out.
Have you taken it for a spin at all, whats it like?
Those engine noises could be coming from the vvti solenoid if it sounds like a diesel at said revs..
Definitely gotta contact Barry for some coils! :)
Nice buy :)
get the front sway on Azza!
Maybe have a look at your alignments... I'm running a different alignment to the usual specs of AE corollas to reduce lift off oversteer yet still not understeer ;)
Well your suspension setup needs looking at, i don't experience any unless i really try to force it out of the car. it doesnt understeer either... ill have to take you for a spin one day.
IMO 16 valves are better for N/A and are cheap and plentiful :)
Ive never realised how high our cars are when stock, and to think mine is sitting high at the moment... geez hahaha
Good luck with both of the cars!
You can turn them around but you have to take the rubber grommet out for the other hole. It adds a bit of caster if they are on the rear side of the elongated hole of the strut tower.
When i got my screen replaced the bloke did a quick repair on it by wire brushing it, anti-rust coating it and finally painting it before he put the screen in. Its inevitable for them to rust there
Is it a map or afm? can't be both...
map usually sits on the firewall side of the intake mani and has a vacuum line and a plug leading to it.
Pretty sure that green plug goes into the coil/igniter
Here is the only pic i have of my old bigport for reference.
HTH
Wheel bearing issue just turned out to be a loose nut on the driveshaft :S
I tightened it up and it should be fine. Only thing is that an oil leak showed up today leaking from my drivers side diff seal...oil all under the car. Guess what's now on the to do list for next week...
Also swapped the dizzy over from the sx as it doesn't leak and put some engine covers back on to neaten it up and hide some of those little leaks hahaha
Is that a Corolla II ?
If so the front you can do by adjustable tops on coilovers and the rear youll have to do by angling the hub via the use of a shim
Go with coilovers as you can adjust the height exactly as you wish...
If you are doing it for performance there are too many variables... but i would still go coilovers...
4AFCs rr daa bessssss! my best mates dads mates friend who has a son who had a dog and dogs said siblings owner had a FWD AE82 4AFC with 200kw at the rears!! Apparently it revved to 12k and had a recaro exhaust system and a momo carby
Hmm, yeah I'm not too keen on welding them... I'm fairly confident the sleeve will work, I'm gonna heat the sleeve and freeze the hub and slip it on. It shouldnt budge once i pop it on. Ive already found some decent material to use anyway...
Do you have pics of the damage when it collapsed?
