  1. yeah a little.
  2. Ok so done a little more before it got too cold, my vacuum manifold is plumbed up.... Mostly. There is a heater hose coming out of the back of the water pump, it just sligghtly gets in the way of popping the vacuum line onto the first cylinder lol. Hope i don't have to take the inlet off to make it get on lol
  3. test fitted the globes this evening... they will be going back on as soon as rego is achieved!
  4. well i will be there even if the red shitbox has to be trailered down! hopefully not however!
  5. i too am interested in finding out how well the pads hold up with the brake cooling ducts installed. Considering this mod for the red car to help consumables like pads and rotors.
  6. All good reed ended up bleeding my frickin brakes anyways, wow super hard pedal is winnah!! Bonnet is painted too, was doing this when Carlos boosted up the road past my place haha. Now all i really have to do is sort out my vacumn lines then muck about with the rear end and fuel tank. Going to clean out the fuel tank with some kero, and put in some taller springs and shocks for rego. I have the vacumn manifold to install and possibly enough lines to sort the system out but if not i can likely buy more lines and some t pieces. Starting to really look like itll be finished very soon :)
  7. Lol yeah yeah so do i funnily enough...
  8. if he didnt, i did! PS: a guy down the street from me has a reallly awesome HUGE compressor, 350 bucks...
  9. heh if you like bro, i live at number 380 to be exact, reed will be here too unless he bitches out :P
  10. Nope its my nickname from school lol. And i live up at scarborough on scarborough rd opposite the wedding gardens. Hopefully no rain on the weekend, id like to paint the bonnet and have a bbq and drinks sat night
  11. Hey bro at least it gets cold in alice lol. Yeah I'm going to be doing the brakes and whever else needs doing for rego on the weekend then i just gotta trailer it to the auto sparky. I have a bonnet now too, brand new for 90 bucks in the end lol.
  12. So I made a trip to my local wreckers today and picked up the part I needed to finish my brakes, Then when I got home with Ashley's (the DB king) help who was here to drop off my snatch strap, Got it into my shed and that was where I left it. Too lazy to do any more on it, Plus its kinda cold and plenty good TV shows on tonight lol. Will do more tomorrow in the evening if I can get home before it gets too cold in the evening. (yes I realise its not even properly winter yet but hey I'm from darwin i still hates the cold.)
  13. i think i see the direction this is heading in, and i think i have a pressie here for you next time your down which although i thought wouldnt look good before will look great with your new wheels.... on the provisio you get rid of that stencil lol. always disliked it.
  14. well it might of gotten done if it wasnt for a certain grease monkey having a 4am bedtime lol i might have been able to fit it today before lawn bowls... you shoulda came it was fun!
  15. ok so i had a really good long look over this thing today. there is only one real major thing to do and that is getting my brakes working. ive been searching high and low to either get my hands on a flaring tool and the fittings to install my wilwood bias cylinder, or find someone who will come out and do the job here at my joint. I'm over not being able to drive it so I'm going to just leave the adjuster out and maybe get it done at a later date to save time and money. List looks a bit like this now: -Hook up brakes and bleed. -clean out fuel tank -send to ashleys joint for wiring to be finished -get some sock filters or make a airbox -get rego -maybe get modplates (likely as i don't like taking cars over the pits for major defects lol) -maybe get a tune if it needs one not a lot really. time to extract thy digit methinks. Edit: after a bit of creative googling, i have found a car i can steal the bits i need off to have my brakes hooked up, sans bias adjuster as soon as i go get the bit i need. time to go wrecker shopping!!!!
  16. ive found the best way to read engine numbers is generally to get one of them mirrors on a stick that repco sell, i did have one somewhere but can't find it or id offer to lend it. i have quite a few mates who like to hit up glassy so ill pm you my number nao.
  17. ohhhkaaay so this has been waiting for some dry weather so i could raise it enough to be able to get it back into my shed lol. this has finally been done but the cars been sitting for too long and now runs on three cylinders :( looks like plugs and leads will probably fix it. is now all matt black and has the front wheels fitted with a respectable ride height. the guards on the front are flared but need a bit more work to be 100% and need a lot more bog work to sort it out. looks f@$king sick imo ill post pics when i remember to take some!
  18. lol aussie export, that stuffs horrid itll look like ass within a few months, don't spend all that time with great prep work and cheap out on the paint. loving this apart from aussie export rattle cans!
  19. i don't know to be honest, id like it to be there but things have kind of snowballed and i don't want to rush it, it will be done when its done and when its done itll be great :P
  20. lol ebough about the bonnet ripoff guy, no need for more negativity in here :hmm: and yeah my missus loves cars too, she really likes old toyotas, and she can cook good enough to keep a bitta fat on me. i usually cook all the elaborate meals at home cause I'm actually a better cook than her :P i dunno if i mentioned it but i got my whiteline pandhard rods, one for me one for reed. can get them for 140 bucks if anyone LOCAL (sorry interstaters) wants one. can get other whitleline shit cheap too.
  21. well when i got home it was all wrapped up like a cristmas prezzie, hail warning on the radio and my miss goes and chucks a couple of old mattresses on it to protect it then a big thick tarp on it to keep the hail outta there... mine and reeds adjustable panhard rods arrived today. so that will go in once the cars back inside the shed.
  22. Going to clean up the shed tonight and get this thing back inside, need to finish it already
  23. Its all off a 3k, we did it because ive had a coupple of 5ks die because of a snaped timing chain...
  24. I call bs on that, sierra is that short, i have several sets at home of them, those shocks you gave reed are still lot longer...
  25. Go pollute someone elses thread fool. There is two types of rolla owners, one type are usually down to earth and will sell stuff cheap to other owners to help them out, the other kind is usually only looking out for them self and nine times out of ten turns out to be a tosser in person. Guess where you have just been labeled.
