hehe, I've got my money so I'm starting to fix my ke70 I'm almost complete with the paint job It's not finnished so it will look better, sorry about the bad picture but I don't have a digital camera :\ I'm also going to buy Compomotive MO rims 14" or 15", hasn't decided yet, with some nice tyres engine conversation to something more powerfull, ( 100hp or something ) any ideas? painting inside the car, black with yellow buttons etc I have mounted some BOSCH RALLYE 1000 meters, I have 2 more I maybe will mount on, hehe I have removed all rust except on the front- and back spoilers, these I will buy NEW from toyota and fix a little here and there, any suggestions? :D -David

which engines will fit in a ke70 without very much work? 1.6l or bigger I don't wanna run EFI because then the conversion job will not cost too much money I have a 4k engine now 4A-G(E) ? 2T-G ? which toyota's can I find these in 3Y ? does this one fit in a ke70?

What can I do to make my 4k engine more powerfull? I want about 100hp +/-

What types of fuel is best for the 4k engine? does the engine run on 98? or just 95

How do you know the engine valve bounce?

well motor failure today :\ the engine is really f@$ked now, run like a kangaroo jumps if you know what i mean well, that only happend 2 times today, just stopped the engine, turned on the hazzard button and turned over to the side of the road seems the cable between the coil and the thingy connected to the other things on the engine, 4 pieces with 1 cable to the thing that splits it or something... what is this named on english? ( sorry, I just don't know the word :\ ) was broken, the car accelerate stops accelerate stop and so on until i stop it. and I only run the engine at normal rpm ( about 3000rpm, 3gear in 60km/h ) and 2nd gear in 40 or something when this happend, the oil lamp was red, but I had enough oil the cable i meantion was black, a friend of mine told me over phone that the cable became black when it need to be changed? strange? any tips of what the problem can be? the car works fine for now, but I don't know how long that will be, I just changed the cable.. but it's strange sound from the engine, maybe because I rev'd too hard? about 6000rpm and its a default 4k with no modefications when the car was acting like a kangaroo it wouldn't start again, it sounded like the battery was flat except it wasnt..

I wants some new wheels with some good rubber 15" maybe? or is that to big? ( running 13" now ) what about these? if they fit.. what about speed correction? it is fixable? or do I just have to remember when I'm driving at 100 I'm actually driving at 120?.. have to fixing the rust, I hate it! :D paint job, dark dark blue ( almost black ) or just black. expensive but I know a dude that will do it cheap new suspension, is this very expensive? any recomendations? -David

I installed a rpm thingy today in my KE70 have used V-Power fuel from Shell the last month, I don't know if you guys know what that is but it's a sort of fuel with some sort of engine cleaner in it, just like you can buy external and put in your fuel the last week the engine runs MUCH better, buch better acceleration and it doesn't lagg any longer :D how high can i rev my 4k engine? just tested a little today, was about 5500rpm in 2nd gear ( 70-80kph i think ) is it safe to rev it higher? I am wondering about this because now I hear a small noise from the engine, just like a broken part or something, maybe it is the radiator fan or something? it's hard to explain because of the bad english :\ -David

Where do I tap out the old oil from my 4k? Have looked under the engine but can't find it?

I have searched the web alittle and found out I can change my 4K engine with 4A-C ? doesn't require to use injection, simple engine conversion than 4A-GE, alot to do, fuel injection, clutch, etc 5k, 7k ? not alot of power but..? is there any major differences between the 4A-C and 4A-GE? what cars should I look for when I want a 4A-C ? do I still have to change to hydro.. clutch? -David

I have a 4k, not 4k-e, I don't have injection either has the 5k injection?

do I have to change more than the engine and gearbox to convert to a 5kc from 4k ? do you know witch corolla's that have the 5kc?

5K-C hmm, how many hp does that engine have? is it a easy conversion? or do you recommend that I'm sticking to the 4A-GE project? what corolla's have the 5k-c?

Is there any other engine that is more powerfull than my 4K engine that doesnt need to change the clutch or change to injection system?

ok hehe, when I asked toyota norway they said I had to change the whole electric system in the car, and they said that was very difficult, maybe they just said that because they wanted to get me as a customer hehe

How do I change to injection? isn't that very difficult? I asked a repair facility to do the whole job ( change engine,gearbox,clutch,injection, brakes ) but that will cost me about 16000NOK ( $2000 US dollars ) is this something I can do myself?

So i have to buy: 4A-GE engine from a AE86 gearbox i'm not sure if its a T50 or K50 from a AE86 ( how do you check? ) does both fit my KE70? crossmember from AE86 for the engine and gearbox clutch pedal box from AE86 ( what is a clutch pedal box? ) tailshaft? what is this? radiator from a AE86 brakes from a AE86 that's all I need? can I change everything myself? ( I have a couple of friends that have alot more experience of cars than I have, and they said they would help me ) how much do you think all this will cost me?

Hello I need some help here;) I own a KE70 82mod with a 4k engine I want to change the engine to a 4A-GE from a AE86 GT ( RWD ) I found the engine at a wrecker and a gearbox but i'm not sure if its a T50 or K50 but its from a AE86 GT 84mod I will remove the 4k engine and gearbox K40 ( or something simular ) I will buy the 4A-GE from the AE86 GT 84mod the engine has gone 140 000km ( my KE70 has gone 136 000km ) the price for the engine and gearbox is about 800 US-dollars, is this a good price? I live in norway so its very difficult to find a RWD 4A-GE because the AE86 is very rare around here I have also found out I need to change my clutch, what do I need? should I take the 'new' clutch from the AE86 at the wrecker or buy it from a store ( new ) I also need a new crossmember for the engine? do that have to be from a ae71? or can i use the crossmember from the AE86 at the wrecker? Do I need something else than that? Sorry for the bad english
