  1. hmm.. I wonder what it really is the guy I got it from told me it was from a ke70 van with leaf springs at the rear axle and 4k engine.. but it doesn't fit 4k engines do it? doesn't look like that..

YEAH! it works now! :D it was my old 4k alternator that was dead, and when I changed to use the 2T alternator the plug with 3 wires in was at different location, and I din't see it at the first.. then I saw the ENGINE fuse was dead, swaped it, nothing different.. then I fixed the wrong wiring.. nothing different.. then I saw the engine fuse was dead again, and NOW IT WORKS:D
  3. what do you mean? from alternator: E to D+, N to DF and F to D- and B what? I got the connection on the dynamo wrong, I got mixed up and F and E was wrong, it's fixed now, but still doesn't charge fuse for *ENGINE* behind the battery was broken, renewed the fuse.. still doesn't charge charge fuse seems okay, renewed it just to be sure the thick B wire is okay, tested with multimeter the other 3 wires I don't know which is possitive and negative.. also have to check my regulator tomorrow, and maybe I head to a wrecker to pick a new one.. can I use any regulator? since ke70's is really rare here in norway, but we got alot of carina 1/2, fwd rolla, etc both the old and new alternator was nippon denso with external regulator... help needed!!
  4. can't afford a auto electrican.. anyway, they don't have time before 1-2 weeks.. I might got the plug with the 3 wires in wrong.. but shouldn't it charge even when the 3 cables is disconnected? as long the 'B' cable is connected? I forgot to say, I removed the battery because I had to tighten the bolts for the hood lock tingy I got, and then reconnected the battery, drove 15 mins and the charge light started to light..
  5. okay.. now my alternator doesn't charge the battery I was using the 4k alternator on my 2T engine because I didn't bother soldering new cables when I swapped the engine a few days ago the charge light started to light.. I drove a bit and the engine died,flat battery.. then recharged the battery and drove home now I have changed to a 2T alternator I know worked a half year ago, with a multimeter the + at the B pole( when the cable is disconnected ) and - at the battery when the engine runs it charge only 0.4v.. that isn't enough for me :\ what can be wrong? is really both alternators defect? sound strange to me.. but okay.. earth.. is trough the engine? can be a bad wire.. the black box that controlls if the alternator is charging or not? as I understand, if that box is defect it will just charge until the battery explode.. wrong wiring? since the 4k and 2T alternators is different, I had to make a new plug ( the one with 3 wires in ) maybe I got it wrong? I don't think it's any fuses that have blown because I tested the alternator directly at the B pole.. what else can be wrong? now I have to take the bus, that's crap!!! :D
  6. that's bad :D I have problem with my alternator too.. doesn't charge the battery.. it's either the brushes or the cable

I have a strange gearbox.. it doesn't fit any K, T or A engine.. it's a 4 speed gearbox.. with the clutch and starter at the same side.. the speedometrewire is on the *wrong* side.. the bellhousing and gearbox is 1 piece.. like the K40/K50 and a normal gearstick doesn't fit, completely different.. and I'm not sure, maybe it isn't a toyota gearbox?
  8. I've heard, that the blacktop 20v has dli ignition, so there isn't any distributor.. then you won't have the problem with the firewall
  9. okay.. can I just swap the brakes? are you sure it's 100% the same? isn't the ae86 reinforced or something?
  10. it's easy enough to do good drifts in GT4 if you have a steering wheel! with the gamepad it's 100% crap..

  13. yeah, it's much better than number 3, we in norway got it the 9th, but I got it the 8th :D played it instant since I got it almost it's impossible to do a nice drift without steering wheel.. just loses the control with the steering pad.. :dance: I started with 2 licenses finished because of the prologue and 100k cash from gt3, bought a ae86 and using that until I have cash for a supra or a nsx
  14. okay, will the geometry of the suspension change very much? caster, camber, toe-in, etc?
  15. I have got some parts here now.. I have ae86 front suspension/steering components,crossmember, brakes, etc, everything except the sway-bar. I want better brakes, and the ae86 ones are vented discs.. it's also alot easyer for me to get new springs and shocks for ae86 than ke70, so I want to use the suspension also.. and I've heard ae86 has quicker ratio on the steering wheel than ke70, so I want to change to the ae86 rack'n pinion.. I am wondering if anyone has done something like this before, and if it's worth the job? is this really just a bolt on conversation?

  17. it's not the same.. my ke70 with 2doors have longer doors than my friends ke70 with 4doors.. 2doors are cooler! :lol:

  19. yeah.. but I wonder.. can I use ae86 springs on my ke70? because fensport in UK sells custom kg/height ae86 springs.. and the only springs I can get here in norway is the default, and jamex lowering springs for te71/ce70, but not ke70? for the shocks I can buy adjustable koni shocks that's made for lowering.. ( you can only adjust rebound ), and bilstein 'sports' shocks.. it seems ae86 and ke70 shocks are the same type..
  20. You could also use water.. rev to around 4000rpm, and drop some water down the carby a few times..
  21. yeah, I use 100% locked diff, and it works great in the winter when it's snow :insane: but it's hard to find a parking space i can park my car in hehehe :D have slide sideways to the parking space hehe :D I can drive about 18km on 25 litre of fuel.. various driving.. pedal to the metal.. city driving.. in front of the police driving.. etc but I think it's because my exhaust.. it goes better with my current exhaust, but it also use alot of fuel..

But I got thinking of fuel usage.. 2T-G vs 4A-GE I'm using almost 1.5litre per mile on my 2T-B.. my 4k engine used about 0.6 - 0.7 it seems I've gathered a ae86 fueltank with electronic fuel pump.. but I got thinking of engine mounts, crossmembers.. I have a set of TRD 4A-GE engine mounts for ae86.. the rubber things.. and the metal things that's bolted on the engine I also have.. but does that just mount on my ke70 crossmember? I don't think so.. do I have to get a AE86 crossmember? and does that fit my ke70 without any major problems?..
