  1. haha to make it fair ill use the RX7. nah we will have to race i wanted it going for when i come up for tafe next month but it wont be so i might bring the RX7 instead we should meet up and get on the piss thats all i do when I'm there.
  2. series 2 with daytona wide kit front fenders rear flares front bar etc etc. runs a 12a turbo T3 garret with 42mm external gate uses a draw through carby at the moment, but ive brought myself an injection perfection throttle body 50mm going to put that on after the T18 is done ill probly use a haltech, run a nice intercooler run about 15 pound.

  4. motor is in now, got the turbo oil drain all sorted its all good now just gotta do the rest of the fiddly bits now.

  6. my mate was running a 4 speed RX4 box in his 13b turbo still has it and is for sale if interested, why not get a normal 12A and put injection on it u would get more power, and yes thats right 12a's and 13b's are hard to tell the difference in driving no matter what aspriation its only 100cc's difference ive seen 12ats beat 13bts 12a stockport beat 13b stock port , it all depends on what gear and tuning u throw at them 100cc aint going to make much difference, the only difference being 12as are probly cheaper to buy second hand than a 13b but a 13b would probly be cheaper to rebuild.

  9. yeah I'm just going to buy some 90 degree stainles trial fit where the holes are going to have to be and cut out the holes doesnt really matter where they are, there are two small holes sort of where they are going to go but i rekon they will have to go a bit off to the side of those and may enter into the smaller holes but it doesnt matter. and then do the rest in stainless aswell.
  10. yeah havent got the motor in yet been a bit slack, but i couldnt put it on until i put the CT26 on properly with the oil drain needing to be cut and use a hose to reconnect in right position. i had to file out the holes to bolt to the manifold and make up a bracket for the wastegate which is just a piece of stainless with bars welded down the side for strength. ill do the water lines when its in the car.
  11. yeah a few grand to get the 3SGTE up to the mark but how much will u want to spend on a 7MGTE they are what 170 something KW stock? u would probly be looking at the same amount of cash, leigh forests 3SGTE is still using the CT26 that thing is almost std engine wise tahts making 225rwkw with cams restrictor in the intake. if you do get a 7M you will already need to retorque the head if it hasnt been done and change the gasket. yes 3S are FWD so a few mods will need to be done, probly make up a new intake plenum while your at it to point to the front get some custom engine mounts, make a new sump, not all that hard i reckon the cost of a 7M conversion would probly out weigh a 3S in the end if you have to cut out the firewall and change some of the front end setup, what about the sump on a 7M do they need to be modified? my mate is putting a 3SGTE in his sprinter it doesnt seem all that hard or expensive for the end result, just a bit of an engine mount change and new manifolds, sump, and driveline upgrade of corse as you would for most old skool toyota conversions because std driveline and brakes arent going to cut it especially when going 3S or 7M. but if your going to build a track car wouldnt you upgrade things like your turbo manifold when fitting an aftermarket turbo. and for all who say you could make a better drag car with a 7M look at chivy kings 3SGTE 1200hp drag car running 7seconds ;) i say 3SGTE for the win but for wank factor of having a big 3.0l donk and lots of out of the box torque go the 7M. oh just go 20B turbo and be done with it then there is no argument :P.
  12. yeah u will need to change the engine number on the rego and probly get an engineers certificate as your going turbo in a car brought out with a 1.6l carby so go to transport and find out how to get the information of things to do when putting that motor in a certain car, they might want u to upgrade the brakes!!. i dunno i might just change my engine number say i got a replacment motor and act dumb its the same block. hey is this shaun?
  13. ok just pulled the old motor out sunday arvo, now i have most the bits i need except bellhousing. so ill tidy the bay up a bit and the new motor will go in this weekend.
  14. why not go 3SGTE will fit easy and still be able to make 250rwkw fk easy. they have about the same amount of hp stock, less torque obviously. and they don't weigh a tonne. and they have the exhaust on the same side of a 3T like that really matters anyway when u run a massive side pipe in a drag/track car.

  16. thats bullshit, maybe the cops should be booking people like this instead of focusing in on hotted up cars and young drivers and such. :) :lolcry:. at least young people who are into their cars have respect for theirs and others, like when your in a car park and u see some old fk trying to drive out and run into about 3 different cars before the go anywhere and they just drive off? this is because they didnt see the cars yeah? well what if that was a young child that they didnt see? and in your case it was that you were right infront of him ;) .

  18. just posting some pics for my mate, sprinter + 3SGTE with to4 turbo, big cooler, autronic computer, race suspension, loads of other stuff. anyway its not completed yet but getting close.
  19. yeah ive seen subarus that do this they arc on intake manifold bolts. u need a new lead maybe dizzy cap but lead is the cheapest option so try that first. the G series bellhousing may not retain clutch slave on the drivers side ive found, u will need one that came out of a car with a 3TGTE and a w55, like corona GT-t and carina. yeah the T50 will bolt to all 3T
  20. that they do, but the wheels I'm getting no one has because they had to make the moulds again to cast them cos no one has brought them in ages and they look tuff as. ill probly order them next week. my mate got them on his sprinter yesterday and i think they look tuff, its going to be a bit drift style though 15X8's with 195/50's rubber stretched over them so they don't rub my guards. :) they are old school as well ill just post up the pics when i get em. thanks for the comments guys. forgot to mention i have got a W57 for it too picked it up cheap for 100bucks now just need either a 3y bellhousing or g series from a 1g to w series box, keep your eyes out fella's.

  22. just put some more gear on the motor one night, just need to put on the CT26 and a new water pump and its done.
  23. mmm private road :lolcry: wouldnt mind one of those. we've adopted our street as the family test track and as a quick way to get the water off the tyres after you wash it, its tradition :) . weve lived here the longest, first house in the street haha so its all good. plus the neighbours don't mind, i hope. anyway my brothers worse than me lol.
  24. yeah thats it, my mate gets his capella back next week from the body work, we will start putting the new motor in. should be good once its going with new number plates too, they are classic . :D . just put a $150 momo italy gear knob on my RX7 today looks sweet now ive just got to do a clutch in my old mans car on sunday to earn it :hmm: haa. and i took it up my whole street sideways to celebrate haha i really want my licence back.
  25. yeah thats what u want, less attention from the filth. yeah i know kade his old s2 was a beast of a thing, beautiful car, his brothers coupe is very nice indeed. theres a guy that works at DJ's just near where i work with a purple RX3 12AT that goes pretty well i hear we should get a few cars together soon then i rekon we could muster up a heap of rotors. better wait a few months though so i can get my licence and my mates capella will be on the road again. :jealous: i don't reckon its the same red RX7, but he just has a bit of work to do also because he went up a bank the other day and bent some suspension parts, plus he just got an 05 yammah R6 so hes all in love with that at the moment lol.
