Got the head back from the engine shop and its all good. Didnt even need a surface but i asked for it do be done anyway, Vacumm tested the valves and they are really good. They said that the head had been rebuilt recently so thats a bonus. All up it cost me $55.

Yes, Selects and drives in reverse but all fwd gears it wont select.

7k has shit loads more torque than a 5k. I service town-ace vans that are loaded up with 1300kg's of tools. Van 1100kg's ? + Tools 1300kg's = 2.4 tonne. Pulls pretty reasonable for a 1.8 loaded up.

Redline anti shock oil, The blue stuff is good for gear boxes and the red stuff is good for diff's, Helps to stop crunch's in old worn gears but can also glaze synchroes and cause crunching. Every single ute at work cops a flogging so they get the redline stuff.
