  1. Pull both manifolds off. Take tappet cover. Remove head bolts. Hit with rubber mallet to crack the gasket.
  2. Same slider action. If your changing pads just undo the top caliper bolt then the caliper folds down and the pads pull out, Easier than taking the whole caliper off. Single cam Ae82's are solid disc and drum rear. Twin cams are vented front and solid disc rear.
  3. 4AFC = 1600 twincam 16v carby, Inlet cam is run from gear under the cam cover and the exhaust is run from the belt. I had the same engine in my AE82 seca, Had a cold air intake and a full exhaust and did a 17.9 quarter mile pass. Wasn't the quickest car on the road but it was fun. 6A and 4A are the same except the 6A has 76mm bore and 77mm stroke.
  4. Ok. You Corolla has a 6AFC, 1.4 litre 81hp engine. Anyway find a bit aluminum pipe and replace the bit that has the hole in it for the heater pipe thing.
  5. You wont have any drama's, I can't remember exactly but i gather this pipe goes to the inlet before the air filter ?
  6. Mine was from an MR2 but I'm not sure on the year but most likely an early one as well.
  7. No, Might be a 7 rib block but small internals, That 4age i had with the holes in the pistons was a 7rib block with small internals and no oil squirter's.

ITS ALIVE. Brian at work gave my car a polish in which i thank him a lot for, He spent a good 2-3 hours polishing my seca when he could have been getting drunk with every one else. Drive great and stops well considering the rotors are covered in surface rust.

Snapped one bolt that holds the camshaft caps down, Once rectified it was back together quickly. Cam timing has been set and lines up fine. Dizzy has been put back together with new seals and roll pin. The ARP head studs stick out further than the standard bolts so the dizzy gear was touching it, 3 hours later it was fixed. Des :lolcry:

Head is on and torqued up. Spent 6 hours just cleaning the block and other parts. mmmm ARP studs. Measured the bore and stroke today and came up with 83mm bore and 77mm stroke which = 1666.47cc :o Des
