  1. Hehe! It's all too easy! Thanks for that guys... I shall post pics of the project!! KJ ;)
  2. Any good body shops in the Northern suburbs?? I got a quote from my local body repair guy and it was going to cost over $500 just for a fiberglassing job to get rust fixed in the guards of my KE55! Any Ideas let me know Cheers KJ ;)
  3. Just chuck an exhaust system on it with a hotdog muffler and suddenly..... a stock engine will sound sick!
  4. Ke10's origional engine number doesn't start with a K... the dead set stock origional fleet of KE10's ran just numbers in the engine number without the K in front. KJ :-)
  5. lol ok! Just thought it was u! was a yellow KE20/KE25 and yeah had exhaust and stereo... was cruising and I mean *Cruising* the main street of Birdwood on Sat avo! I waved and pulled over to see whoever was driving would pull over too but nah they kept going - towards Mt Pleasant way! KJ :-)
  6. Hey Lee, Were you in Birdwood on Saturday? Caus I swear I saw u, or what looked like your car cruising main street of Birdwood about 4pm Saturday avo! I also saw a great looking KE55 in bright blue with White Mags parked at the new Mc Cafe' at Munno Para on Saturday night!
  7. Nup... It actually had origional 70's plates! Had a white sticker on the back window, couldn't quite work out what it said though. KJ :-)
  8. The Rolla was orange - 2 door, one I haven't seen around the district before! Parked on the Main Street of Nuriootpa this morning when I was cruising along! KJ :-)
  9. well it's not a Akai Stereo that's causing my Fuel gauge to play silly buggers lol I have a Kenwood System and I have no problems with it - whether the Fuel and Temp gauge is playing up or not! KJ :-)
  10. How much for wheels like that though - and where from?.. that is the question! I will post some pix soon of my 55 with those Mazda wheels on and see what everyone thinks! Cheers KJ :-)
  11. Nice Car mate! Definately come on the next SA Rollaclub cruise - would love to check it out in person! Looks immac! I have a 55 also and am a HUGE fan! :) KJ :-)
  12. I have a set of those wheels from a Mazda and they are supposed to fit straight on.. Actually thinking of selling them.. I dunno.. should I keep them? I personally would love a set of Minilites! KJ :-)
  13. Nah, It didn't have a rollaclub sticker! I also saw a 2dr KE30 in the Barossa Valley today - stock but straight as with no aparent rust! Definate potential! KJ :-)
  14. Keep it Green for sure! it's an awesome Colour! Have fun with this one dude! KJ
  15. My KE55 does exactly the same! Sometimes the fuel gauge will be the same as the temp gauge, sometime they won't work at all and often at night if they are working (randomly) and I flick the headlights to high beam, they'll decide to go stupid and often go completely dead and sit right at the bottom! It's getting very annoying - I have run out of petrol once because of it! It also seems to be worse if I have the heater, rear demister and parkers or headlights on... I spoke to my mate who's an Auto electrician and he suggested a higher powered altenator.. the old one might be getting a bit tired and not be able to run everything successfully.. but I dunno.. considering it's an intermittant problem So you guys rekon there's a while cable/plug under the dash which is the culprit??? KJ.
  16. Saw a white KE70 last night (Sat Night) heading down semaphore way - had the word 'Corolla' on the side with the double black stripe and the 5 speed badge on the back! Looked alright body and paint wise - stock wheels though :-( KJ :-)
  17. Hey all, This forum has really inspired me, was reading some of the earlier posts about people using those condom things for covers on Dash lights.... anyway I'm still setting up my Rollaclub profile, but reading this forum has made me wanna pull my finger out!! The reason is.. *Admin Edit - Please read the rules... No commercial advertising* Thanks -Nick
  18. They definately are rare rolla's - direct imports (compared to an Australian assembled 70's Rolla they don't have the borg warner diff) and made for the american market when the fuel crisis was on in the 70's (that's why they have pillarless doors - made to look like a mini American Yank Tank) however, all the imports to America were only 4 speed, where as Aussies got the 5 Speed Version! Factory Tacho, cloth seats, FM Radio Standard and speakers in the rear!! Very rare for a 70's Rolla! The first of the KE50's came across in 1977 then they imported the update in 1979 which was identical but came with a rear windscreen wiper! Awesome little cars, tough as, rwd - gotta love it!!!! So don't EVA get rid of it mattatron - Keep it and spend the money you have to spend on it - caus one day you won't realise just how unique and rare they really are.. I might be able to help out with a Windscreen Rubber - what would you be interested in paying for one? KJ :-)
