  1. And you don't have to drive a show car or a overrated condition corolla to come on a cruise! Any corolla's still a corolla, and is worthy of attending a cruise! Be proud that you own a Corolla, no matter what shape it's in! I'll be in for a cruise somewhere soon, but can't afford too much Petrol $$.... so no long cruises half way round the state please!! Cheers, KJ :-)
  2. Preferabaly not the Hills roads where your likely to get stuck behind a horse float or caravan lol Count me in :-) KJ :-)
  3. A good days work well worth it! Well done :P

  5. QUOTE** cgu aren't too bad. my ke16 is $280 for full comp with ~$2400 agreed value. thats for 24 years old as well. UNQUOTE** Well I haven't tried CGU but if they are like any of the other companies, they won't insure the car if the stereo is worth more than 10% of the cars value. I was going to go through an insurance broker, save me the paperwork and headaches, but not I can't find one round here that deals with Shannons or Just Cars Insurance! It just seems to get more and more complicated! lol KJ :-)
  6. Okay, yeah I won't be driving this one every day all year round.. perhaps 6 months on and then 6 months off. I just want someone who will see the value of everything that is there and insure it all.. not just bits n pieces. I'm going to give Shannons a call and get a quote. I've thought about historic rego but then u have a limited amount you can drive it and you have to be in a registered car club and fill out a log book etc.. am I right? Rollaclub doesn't class as a registerd car club does it?? Cheers, KJ :-)
  7. I am over 25 so it sounds like that's about my only option. I have a KE55 with alloys, stereo, aircon, alarm etc.. and want it all insured. The whole lot, and I want a reasonable agreed value so yeah sounds like Shannons are about my only option! Cheers all! KJ :-)
  8. Yeah tried them.. they're not too bad I guess.. a bit more expensive than the average sgic or qbe places but I guess you get what u pay for.
  9. I have done the ring around and no one will insure you for comprehensive on a corolla that has an expensive stereo. What's the deal? I want an agreed value and I want things like stereo and alloys to be covered. Can anyone suggest somewhere that's not expensive and doesn't have a high premiums or excesses. Cheers KJ :-)
  10. Well for those who missed out, here's some photo's of the day, so that you don't feel soo bad! One of the tidiest KE10's I've seen! When's the next SA Rollaclub cruise by the way?? Cheers, KJ :-)
  11. It was a great day! We had a small group of Barossa guys! KE10 through to KE55. we met at the Train Park in Nuri around lunchtime! A mate who owns a KE10 was there, but he got his mate to drive it caus he doesn't have a licene at the moment. He also got his mate to drive his KE11, and somehow the cops noticed the KE11 driving around earlier that morning and they were aware that it was registered in the name of the guy with no licence, so they were quick to hunt him down, only to find that his mate was driving - not him! SUCKED IN!! The cruise went on a big loop of the Barossa Main towns, Nuriootpa, Greenock (although we by-passed this), Angaston, Bethany & Tanunda! We stopped off at the Lookout for a break and photo opportunity! It was a great day had by all and would have been nice if some Adelaide guys had come along too! I will put some pics up tomorrow! Cheers, KJ :-)
  12. It's This Sunday - 2nd December 12:30pm onwards Train Park (Tolley Reserve) Tanunda Road, Nuriootpa - Look for the big black steam train! Don't forget to bring the BBQ supplies (or if your too slack to cook your own lunch, there's Red Rooster and Subway across the road - walking distance) Remember, Ben (Nawty4) is happy to let people follow him from Adelaide, as he knows the way. Invite your friends! See you all there! KJ :-)
  13. YES!!!! The Rollaclub Christmas Party, Sunday December 2nd in the Barossa Valley! It will be a fantastic day, so please come along! Read the thread! http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=14305 Cheers KJ :-)
  14. Yeah nice one! It's coming up soon and there's a lot of excitement around! So here's the details, We'll me meeting at the Train Park (The Gums) in Nuriootpa (opposite the BP and Red Rooster) from midday onwards on Sunday 2nd December. We'll have lunch around 12:30 - 1pm and cruise after that. For lunch, bring your own meat and bread etc.. (that way we don't have to worry about catering for too many or not enough if we supply it ourselves) There are BBQ's at this park and I will be there earlier in the day making sure they BBQ's are free for us to use! The cruise will be simple and you won't get lost! It's not a long cruise (and a lot of the roads are slower now with all the speed limits being changed all over the place) There will be 1 stop about half way along the cruise, this will be at the Lookout (overlooking the Barossa Valley) So bring your camera! Anyone needing Directions to Nuriootpa, PM me and I will send you details, and Ben (Nawty4) is keen for anyone to follow him to the Barossa Valley if you don't know the way! Any other Questions, let me know! Spread the word, tell your friends! Hope to see you all there! (and don't foreget to show something to do with Christmas on the day!!) Cheers all, KJ :-)
  15. Nice KE70, would be great to see u along for the cruise! We'll be having lunch at the Gums! KJ :-)
  16. Thanks Tom! It should be an awesome day! Yes there are some fantastic roads to cruise on here in the Barossa!! I think you should come along anyway Tom even though you don't have a corolla anymore! A mate of mine has just fully restored a KE10, it's sitting in the show room at Barossa Valley Toyota! I was only talking to him today and he's apparently going to get it out on the day and bring it in the cruise! And he was telling me of another guy in the area who has just dropped a 200SX Turbo motor into a KE30! So it sounds like there should be some nice cars worth checking out on the day! I'll just have my 55 on the day - still driving it around yeah! I still have the KE50's too but not sure what's happening with them yet... KE10/11 shells still sitting at home too yeah, some future projects to keep me inspired hehe! The other guy (Chad) that rocked up on the night you were cleaning out your shed hasn't got his KE11 anymore, he sold that to my mate for a couple hundred bucks! If you want to help out with mapping out the cruise etc.. that would be awesome! you still have my number don't you? if not, just PM me and we will get in touch! Once again, it should be an awesome day! Everyone, spread the word! Cheers! KJ :-)

  19. Nah sorry, I don't know who owns it. Didn't see the owners there anywhere when I was taking the photo's. It looked pretty shmick though! I was with my uncle in his Dark Olive Green Ford Mustang 1970, so no the orange KE30 wasn't mine. I have a KE55 which is too new for Bay to Birdwood! It was an awesome day! KJ :)
  20. Ok, here's all the pics I took on the day! Firstly of your KE20!! The Brown/Orange coloured KE20 that was there: There was a red KE35 hardtop there! The lady said she's had it since new!! Pics: Some random orange 2dr KE30 that was there! KE10 - was Auto, converted to Manual. Some old skool Corona's! That's about it from my collection! Anyone else with pics?? Bay to Birdwood was a great day out! I encourage you all to go and check it out or go in it 2 years time! KJ :)
  21. Yep, Sure do!! Bay to Birdwood was awesome! how good was cruising the 2 lanes through the hills! It's worth paying the entry fee just to do that! I will post pics up for u this avo! Cheers, KJ :)
  22. I have pics from the cruise! I will put them up in the next day or two! Well done Ben, a great night out! Don't forget the Rollaclub Christmas Party in the Barossa Valley - December 2nd for a BBQ Lunch at the park and an afternoon cruise around the Barossa! And I have many pics of your car benzo from Bay to Birdwood and also of that Brown coloured one and the KE10 that was there too, so yeah start a new thread and I'll post them up! Cheers, KJ :)
  23. Anyone else interested?? Please post here and join the list! The Barossa Valley is a great place to come to for a Sunday afternoon! Thanks to Ben, if anyone from Adelaide doesn't know the way to the Barossa, he will be meeting people on the Northern Side of Adelaide and leading the way. We will be having lunch at a park with BBQ Facilities available, so bring your own BBQ meat, bread etc!! Also bring a deck chair and your camera! Spread the word, tell your friends! Cheers all KJ :)
  24. Hi, was wondering if anyone here is a professional car alarm installer or if you know of anyone who could install one for me? I have a Viper alarm that was removed from a mates car some years ago but still works great, and I want it installed in my Corolla. I have asked around to get some rough prices from Auto electrics places etc.. so I was just wondering what the best deal is that someone on Rollaclub could do for me? Let me know! KJ :D
  25. Sunday the 2nd December will be the date! Cheers, KJ :P
