Kj's Corolla - Ke55 Liftback Deluxe - »»°frog 55°««

Update: or should I say backdate!! To fill you in on the history - I bought this little gem interstate a while ago - stock as.. was owned by 1 person since new, always garaged (hence the top nick paint) 138XXX K's on the clock. Origional 4K, factory 5 speed, cloth interior - crackless dash! I also picked up a spare parts car from a mate locally, and I just fell in love with the uniqueness of the KE50 Liftback.. Here's some pics soon after I got it home and gave it a wash.. My green KE50 parked next to the KE50 spare parts car (still running with a 3K) :-) After a while (and having saved up the funds), it was time to turn this unique import into a sexy beast! Wheels were the starting point, and I picked up a set of speedys which looked nice. I then had all windows tinted, alarm, exhaust and extractors and finally, the 40DCOE Weber for a bit of extra performance!! Pics taken after I gave Froggy a full cut n polish - remember this is original paintwork - not a re-spray! Night Shots!! -
Yeah I saw it there but didn't get a photo.. was yours the one with no interior?

Rock & Roll Rendezvous - *** Now With Pics ***

It is a great day - I've been for a few years now and each time there seems to be more cars there! -
I am up for a South cruise - there are also some nice roads in the Mitchem area!

I was in a Mustang at the All American Day up at Modbury on Sunday, and we decided to leave early (mid avo) and check out Toyoshow 2010, so we drove down to Glenelg and the weather was heaps cooler down by the beach - absolutely gorgeous! Aside from the smaller turnout, the atmosphere was great and we definately thought it was worth the trip across town (in a Mustang 428 Cobra Jet Ram that's heavy on FUEL). Well done all, and I am heaps keen to enter next year with my rolla :-) Cheers, KJ :-)

WOWEEEE!!!!!! THIS LOOKS AMAZING! Good job dude! oh by the way, I found that other KE70 CSX alloy at my parents place if you ever want it!! Also, did you happen to find a microphone on the drivers side that went behind the window pillar? That plugs into my bluetooth handsfree and I left it in the car when I sold it to you! If you still happen to have it I'll grab it off you one day - I definately can't wait to see this car in person!! Excellent job, Cheers KJ (previous owner) :-)

Someone took pics, I know they did! I saw at least 2 cameras! Any chance of getting them online? Cheers!

Was talking to one of the organisers in the pits area by the Lutheran School, and he was telling me that a tow truck (the regular motorsport tow truck driver) was coming into the pits towing a car which had a siezed diff, and as he was heading out, he took a corner too tight and the hook on the back of the tow truck scraped across the rear left quarter panel of a light blue 1930's car worth about quarter of a million dollars! The owner of the car just stood there stunned, and eventually they had to get 5 blokes to move the car away from the hook. The tow truck driver may not have his licence much longer - aparently many motorsport organisers don't like him... I think it was this car...

Yeah, hillclimb tomorrow at Collingrove, and the national hillclimb championships on Ocotber 17th, well worth a look! The last of my fav pics hehe! KJ.

I only heard about this caus I was asked to help out with the Sound/PA, and I must say - it was an absolutely fantastic weekend! Definately well worth the look (even though the weather was sooo cold and wet yesterday), today was awesome! I really encourage you all to go along again next year, it's something else to see the origional 1939 Lobethal Grand Prix Track come to life! Some pics I took! I took heaps but these are my favourites! Cheers, KJ :-)

Spotted a light green KE30 sedan (with Aqua bonnet and guard) at the Dunlop Tyre dealer at Tea Tree Gully on my way to Birdwood yesterday morning!

Cruise/meet This Friday 18th Harbour Town Maccas 7:30pm
KJ's Rollas replied to Ae71Rola's topic in The Event Archive
I went on a cruise a while ago where the skyline club (and a couple other clubs) were present, and I got a phone call about 2 months AFTER that cruise from a cop shop in Adelaide and was cautioned for hoon driving, but what had happened was that some grumpy lady was standing out the front of her house videoing the whole lot of cars going past, and whole bunch of the skyline club up front were drifting and being silly, but this lady recorded all the cars, and we were quite near the back and cruising like 'normal people', but as a result we all got 'cautioned'. It only take one to ruin it for the rest - so thanks guys for looking out for our club. Anyway I'd be keen to make an appearance at the next one! Has a date been set yet? Cheers, KJ :-) -

Now there's a smart Idea! A monthly club meet/cruise! And if different people took it in turns to organise, then it's not all up to the 1 person! I will re-register the ke50 tomorrow if I am not DJ'ing tomorrow night, so might see you all there! Cheers, KJ :-) -
So any suggestions as to what clubs in SA to join which endorse historic rego? Also, is there an age limit on historic rego? I wouldn't think a KE70 would pass, yet I had a feeling it was anything 30 years old or older? Cheers, KJ.

Looks awesome man! That 5K had a decent amount of power when I owned the car, and now it just LOOKS like it would go even faster haha! Keep up the great work!
