well, I'm just a young bloke who is trying, faailing and then trying again ;) made what we called US blinkers in norway, its orange markers in the front instead of white... left is US, right is original this is orignal, its as easy as removing the wall and balcking out the white both done! the plan next is to make a alu skid plate that starts at the crossmember, protects the sump and then fold up on the on the front plate :)

made some adjustments, looks better now both my babies if you want T series engine mounts in your ke20 i could fab some for you right now, just send me a PM :)
-
got a order for T series motor mounts into KE25... feels good to make some cash while doing what i love! first, get the engine where it needs to sit.. than make a plate with holes that bolts to the engine then find some celica ta22 mounts and chop off half of it weld, whats left is to make the edges nice then they are off to the customer
-
my frind got this far, he was not able to do it.. soo I'm taking it to a local welder tomorow :) made ut a jig for welding
-
finally got my sr20 manifold! need to make a adapter plate tho real garrett

okay lets do the 2T-G, was sitting in class thinking of the 2T-G, and all of a sudden i was at home making a wooden bench when i really should have been in school.. for some reason one of the legs tiled itself.. anyways... started taking the 2tg apart pistons out aswell fuq, is this crank trash? atleast thees are trash haha the piston ring gap when forced 4cm into the cylinder was 1,1mm , this is 1 2T-C block i just put 2TG pistons into without meassuring.. needs other piston rings... any idea if i could fit oversized since i have 1,1mm gap?
-
2,5 inch exhaust with 1 see through muffler, i want the 2tg back in... sooooo much cooler sounding now i just need 100g yens... found a lot of shit on yahoo japan... aka 1155 AUD TRD 288 Cams http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/p493871624 racing manifold http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/m146620287 Rod bearings http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/t415130486 piston rings ( need to take measures before i order anything.. probly after x-mas due to me being broke) http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/n146489923 Oil cooler kit http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c530807612 there are so many goodies on yahoo japan!

rolla is still going strong! anyone one her got piston rings for a 2T-G i also need rod bearing and ARP rod bolts, everything fits form 2T-C and 3T-C aswell skid video with 2T-C below..

okay, so this is just a shell i have sitting arorund , not looking into spending any cash on this, so I'm thinking the easiest is to cut the corolla LCA in half then rewelding it with the celica and reinforcing it, that whay i will be able to dial in some camber aswell :hmm: if the driveshaft is 8mm too long I'm just moving the rear axle, i don't really care about 1cm, but ill meassure that when i get home... yeah te27 steering arms would have been the best, but i have 2 other KE20's that is more important than this and i just can't afford it
-
Thanks alot for answers, okay, so i could just weld up the hole in the steering arms then redrill a smaller hole, or somthing else, i needs some days to think about this one. ill take meassures of the rear axles when i get home! whats the best way to mount a rear axle from a car with normal springs into a KE20, just cut away all the linkage mounts and spring mounts and then weld on a square plate where the leafs are?
-
hi, iv got a KE20 shell that i though i'd just scrap but now iv gotten hold of a set of ta22 struts and ta22 diff with tailshaft, and i have soem spare K series engiens with gearboxes soo what do i need to do to get the ta22 struts into a KE20? i'v got both ke20 control arms and ta22, ke20 LCA and half the Ta22 LCA, so in worst case senario i need to weld the celica LCA to the corollas. and will a K40 fit a TA22 tailshaft?
-
hi, yeah i got loads of spares, i have some 3k carbs, box in like gearbox?
-
cut out the pillar in the middle of the holes in the front plate, so now its one large hole! got bored so i painted the intercooler, had to push the car out because the car infront was finished..
-
Thanks Feral! :D sorry Leeroy i dotn don't know what the flares are off but the spoilers are te27 both front and rear :) quarter bumpers! never seen this done on a corolla, why? needs some more work! thinking of painting them black thinking of chopping out the metal in the middle of the 2 holes behind where the bumper sat so it will be one big hole?
-
cut up and made room for the wheel to turn got it a bit lower need to get it a bit lower, will look dope with 3 inch wider lip!
-
scored this for free today! dubble action vacume clock for the igintion, pulls on vacume and pushes when pressurised, then a holder for the spring in the front and a stainless tube for the IC if i can't get hold of alu :) bought this for the rally rolla a 2T-B, then I'm using the engine from the rallyrolla in this a 2T-C :) now i got T50's for both of them! also got ta22 struts, tailshaft and rear axle! all welded together, not much of a spring left hmm height looks good i can probly get the flare to sit a bit lower to make it look more "stance" but the new struts made a lot of diffrence!
-
test fitted the headlamps, i love the look of the inetcooler! thinking of going with with no grill... need to get some piping for the intercooler aswell... new top plates and Roll center adjusters from techno toy tuning need to modify the low and stiff struts to take the wide wheels "you got so much offset you can fit twins under there" is something iv been told from friends... and, yeah i can!
-
Score! bought a 2T-B going to pick it up in the weekend, its from a TA22 1972, is it the 105hp version? anyways that is going into the rallyrolla, then the 2T-C i got there is going into this! due to this got high compression and twin carb- No go for turbo... the 2tc is low compression and has 1 carb, and that carbs bogs anyways, since i only have 1 turbo carb its perfect! i also welded up the other rear arch :) almost finished but the back was getting ill after welding so much in wierd possisions so ill finish it next time :)
-
Got my Intecooler, boost controol, bost guage, dump valve, carb and adapter plate today, all new apart form the carb, for only 170 aud! adapter making some room for the intercooler :) found out the front end has widened.. look at the holes not lining up.. making it fit chopped out the sttel and the IC fits snuggly made up some brackets for the IC dat exhaust manifold need to buy some universal rubber engine mounts and weld up some motor mounts, theese are form a Carina TA40, the engine is sitting too high.. Turbo carb
-
found a spare head, and a Turbo, going to be top mounted for the looks and easy to work on.. so the center of the turbo needed to be spun arround 180 degrees to get the oil flowing the right way and the compressor side had to be spun so it faces out of the engine/manifold also brought a block, and trans to the shop so i can weld up some engine mounts, then after that i can make a adapter plate for the SR20 manifold that i'v soon got and then we started!

ahh tahnks, read though the thread and fuel setup is now all clear, getting a malpassi turbo fuel regulator and a EFI fuel pump pushing about 8 bars then ill make a fuel return line to the tank. i don't want to lock the distributor, i want it to be drivable and have power both low and high.. i know a guy here in norway used a volvo turbo clock, unsure what he actually used off the volvo but thats what he said... do i want the same ignition curve on a turbo car as a N/A?
-
yup, taking it to another local welder, this is a guy i don't know personaly so no free welding anymore :( nahh its pretty rust free actually, just in the front of the doors and arround the frontlights anywas, diceded to go the Turbo route i'v gotten hold of a Renault 5 Turbo carb off a 1,4.. a slim intercooler, dump valve , boost controller and boost guage cheap, then i had a friend who has a aftermarket SR20 manifold that I'm going to flip upside down (if its space and its possible) and make a top mount, but i need to make a adapter for the manifold, and carb.. then i have to figure out how to do the vacume advencer for the ignition, and the fuel system, a pump that keeps the pressure 0.25 bars above the boost..? and where do i take the oil from? get a oil cooler kit and put the lines to the turbo? the turbo is free, from my brother, he got some spares from his 200sx its a ca18 stock turbo ( T25) he has upgraded his car to T28 so he does not need his T25's anymore thinking of running like 0.5 to 1 bar.. unsure how much a stock 2T-C can take, how much HP would 0.5 make? and how much would 1 bar make? first off I'm going to take the 2T scrap block and a trash T50 and wled up some engine mounts, then i have a 2tc head and ill try to make the adapoter plate for the manifold.. lots to do... including gettting a engine and trans... If i get hold of a new type T50 ill use the TA60 tailshaft and TA60 welded diff iv got laying arround... Really looking forward to this!
-
Thanks alot, iv been lurking arround at 3tcgarage a bit now and iv already bought a intercooler, exhaust manifold, dump, Renault 5 Turbo carb and osme other small things, biggest problems i have now is the ignition and fuel system
-
okay, thanks alot!! ill ask my buddy if he has a spare manifold and try to make a plate, yeah iv seen lots of guys in puerto rico doing turbo swaps.. but their engine bays looks so expencive and they mostly use EFI or sidedrafts from what iv seen in pis and that is wayy more money then what i want to use!

Hey, I'm playig arround with the though of turboing a 2T-C, i have experience with turbo cars but iv never build one myself.. thinking of going with a blow trough set up with maybe a weber 32/36 .. and not more than 0.5 bars due to old and unprepped engine.. ? thinking of using a T25 or a T28 since my brother got both laying arround, they just need a overhaul... I'v heard the SR20 exhaust manifold is somewhat similar to the 2tc is this right? i'v got a few freinds with 200sx's and a manifold is cheap... ignition timing, how do i do this with boost? are thinking of just putting the carb in a box so i don't have to get a turbo carb ? or is 0.5 bar so little that i don't need a pressureized carb? and how many hp would 0,5 bars give me? like 130 ish?
