this is how far i got the 2 liter down into the rolla at this point a part of the gearbox is tuching the gearboxtunnel... it needs to be wider :) but i think the gearbox of the 5R is longer so the engine will be much more further ahead... any ideas? shortening the axel between the gearbox and the diff? and i got a problem with the engine mounts :) this will be fun :D I'm excited :D

heyo, yesterday i found a 5R 2.0 Toyota Crown engine from 1969 that i thought i woud try to fit in the corolla :) found out i needed some new parts here and there.. took the carb of this thing gearbox of this starter and distributor of this and today if was ready for a pallet fire.. :D fired stright up :D got a video on my facebook page , its in my signature then i stared to take out the 1,2 of the corolla hmmm.. wonder if the gearbox etc is gona fit and mount up to the driveshaft ...O.o

ill have to think about that after i get it road legal, for now iv cut the springs 1 round, its not low enough yet tho... but i want to know how it handles before i spend some big money, I'm still studying so I'm not very rich... I'm rather poor.. but iv instaled the new bearings and then i could not get the brake caliper on and got a bit mad and threw one of the brake pads on the floor and it cracked.. soo iv bought new ones for 17 bucks included shipping from Down under :) here is a pic of how how its sitting now :) need to get it somewhat assebled to take a pic soon :) almost finished welding on the right side, finished in the front only missing the back end and the left side :D keep in mind I'm only 16 and have next to nothing welding experience, this is my first CAR project... iv toadaly restored an 1963 Honda super cub last year and painted it myself, and that turned out pretty good, toadaly love it, done it ALL myself.. the engien is an Lifan 125 , got the original engine running but it was to weak for my intention... by laws mopeds are only allowed to go 45 km/h .. but iv gotten this baby up to 97km/h :D a little video of the moped :) anyways orderd some turnbuckles to brighten up the front end and make the Catkiller stiffer iv also orderd some other stuff, will wait untill it comes to reveal :)

haha, nah, since I'm fixing it i feel like i have the authority to brake it again :P no, but its not going to be used in competition, its going to be a road legal car for daily use :) but still a rally car for fun on gravel roads and for the looks :) is there anyone here with any experience with cutting the springs on a ke20? or what do i need for a coilover convertion, i have no experience with suspention, but nothings too hard :) i just need someone to tell me what i need .. :)

more cutting and welding first cutting new plate also fitted in a hell of a lot of plates here... also made a little thingy for the "Rally Rolla" another shot, keep in mind that its not finished and the front end is very stripped, no grill, no nothing :)

done some more welding painting pleased with the hight in the rear, i thing all the detals are going to be black :) talked with a guy with a KE25 , he said he had cut his spring 1 round, i want to do the same , anyoen knows how this effects the handeling? i think the car is waaay to soft in the front....

fvck... all my photos are gone for a more than a week... photobucket sais that my photos have been viewed more than allowed and i need to pay to make them vissible again,, fvck no! so i made a new account :P got my finder flares and sticekrs, mudflaps, mirrors, etc.. :D but i can't decide on the clour... white? orange? red? yellow? thats my choises.... ( I'm going to use the stickers altho i may change the coulor... :) any ideas? what do you guys think would look nice?

contacted Castrol Norway, they agreed on sending me some free castrol stickers :D been ordering a lot a small stuff for the rolla :D and been sanding down and primed a bit

Hey , I'm from norway so my english is not extremly good, some words is written wrong but i don't know better :) bought my first corolla yesterday, drove 4 hours to pick it up... got enough rust... interior is nice tho :) apart from the drivers seat and that the window on the dirver side wont go up the last 3 cm's... over mountain passes and by fjords, this is a tiny tiny lake tho :) unloading at home ... old , boring, smal, ugly.... :( needs some new paint , so i gave it some new paint under the hood :) ran out of the red paint that i was using so i want and grabbed the next red can ( another brand) and yeah... you can see the difference ( radiator cap) i also painted the fan cover black again :) and someone have polished the rocker cover :D rolla vs crown... thinking of stealing a 5R from one of our crowns and putting it into the rolla anyways.. painted the hood black going to place a bit "TOYOTA" sticker on the hood , white then i added some details to the hood... found out that it aint easy to install the hood by yourself... took off those and sanded them down, but i am currently out of paint... black or white? ( the covers that goes in the holes in the pic? fitted a better steering wheel, and it had an Awesome gear nob :D and there are soem advantages by living far away form other poeple on your own gravel road :D :) then i want online and orderd some stuff :) going to make it look like a rally car :) 4 or those here fender mirrors fender flares and a huge toyota logo for the hood :) going to buy some extra lights to mount in the grill aswell got a lot of thing i want to do with it... firstly remove all the rust and let dad paint it ( he's the one that have painted the blue Crown in the pics above :) and finally a bit of driving, I'm NOT dissapointed with the power of the 1,2 :D stay tuned for more :D got lots of plans

and, is it dangerous to drive with tire stretch, like this? because I'm a bit worried that the tyres we got here laying arround ( that are 13") aint wide enough....

I'm a bit worried that 7 inch is too wide ... :(

Hey :) in a couple of days I'm going to drive to oslo and pick up my fist corolla ever, I'm been looking of some photos of some other corollas and i have decided what i want to do with it ( erll almost decided) :) its a 1975 KE20 , pissyellow 1,2 ( thinking of putting a 2L 5R in it :) ) (sellers photo) it got some small trubles, but not any big ones :) a bit of rust, a broken front whindsheild and some lights that don't work :) but i think the ke20 is too narrow, so I'm thinking of buying fender flares, wider rims/tires and some spacers to make it look wider, and buy lowering spring in the front ( never worked on a front suspention before , i don't need to modify anything to lower it in the front ? only take off the spring and replace it with an aftermarket? like this one? , i have experience with lowering leaf springs , so that will work out :) then the flares, will those fit? i also need to replace the wheelbarings, are they the same (front- rear? ) , i can only find one type... this one will those fit anywhere at all? :P i also like the look of fender mirrors ( my dad almost killed me when i told him about my plan to mount fender mirrors on it , he does not like them, haha) so i think i will be buying some and fix them to the fenders, is it impossible to find them in chrome? i can only find those here, i like them too tho I'm not shure if Ill make it into a rally lookalike or make it nice and tidy... if so, I'm going for bright orange :D like this or like this (maybe a diffrent paint jub/decals to....) :) and with wider fenders etc.. :)

don't the 4 door have a higher/lower winscreen? but i think the car is going to be mine, i don't have time to go an pick it up before friday, so ill have to hope that no one buys it untill then :D it got some rust holes under the doors and one in the boot/trunk, but the suspention mounts is good :) sooo excited :D

i have no idea where to get one ? , corollas are rear here , excpecially ke20's ... do they sell new ones anywhere?

any things that i should look for or should i avoyd the whole car? , what do ou think? , price tag is 5000 kr = 800 usd... :) i think its cheap EDIT: e sais he has te outer tie rod laying in a box somewhere , plug and play :)
