TRD oilpump WHOA! all this for 1500 aud! the car, the engine gearbox, all this, streetslics for 1000$ spacers from 4x110to 4x100, wide 4x100 wheels pistons out, rod bearings are great! 2tg to the right, 2tc to left... started cleaning shorter cam, need to block off the 3 rearest bearings! need to take the bearings out, then turn them so the oil hole does not line up with the one in the block... iv been able to take the cam bearings out , this was my tool, now the oil pressure is preserved! iv also painted the valve cover polert trompeta rensin av ventiler og sliping, fikk bare slipt 3 da..

Hi, i bought a ke20 last week with lots of parts and a 2tg.. the 2tg is going in my other ride, and the plan was to scrap the body, but its too damn stright and nice to scrap! so I'm going to make a mean looking rolla instead! pics! when i bought the car, the seller was going to move to another country.. got it home finally Just mocked it up, no front suspention... mocking up stuff, 9x16 inch rims in front, 225/45-16 streetslicks 265 wide streetslicks, goign to widen the rims 5-10 cm :D i also have a te27 ducktail that i will use... thinking of putting a worked 3k in there and i have shortened front supstenion and shrotened rear shocks..
  4. atleast not a TG! started to clean test fitted to the body i got with it :) can anyone tell me if i can use the TRD oil pump for street use? says "for racing only" or something like that on the box..

I'm planning to use this 2tc Block with all the 2TG gear.. but iv read that i have to use the tg pistons and that i have to block off something in the cam? hmm i have the TG dummy cam but what else do i need to do? 2tc from my carina :) head off Cam out test fitting new head need LOTS of ther parts :) i just love theese!

Guess what? 2xSolex 40mm... hmm what is usally in the other end of 2 solex's? yeah , a 2tg! but this is rather special, its actually a 2TG-EU... but, its in parts.... 2TG TRD oil pump, how much is this worth? T50 gearbox fits right into stock tailshaft TE27 snacks Tachooo!!! and celica steering wheel MASSIVE whiteline swaybar! the car also has a sway bar in the rear and a Phantom grip "lsd" diff! the head he was plannig to put 265/45-16 in the rear haha street slicks! 4 off theese massive fender extenders 2tg fly KE20 shortned and with AW11 rear dampers for more stiffness and less travel... = more low a box full of suspention pars all new! some techo toy etc... :D a new brake pump ducktail chin spoiler some celica stuff i got loads off stuff, still have not unpack all I'm excited! iv never seen a 2tg before and now i got one completly disassembled... hahah this wil be fun... oh and i got engine mounts that fit the KE20 :) got it all really cheap! iv got it for the price of the street slicks!
  7. Got my gasket kit! Head is ready, shimmed 1mm, stiffer valve springs, regrinded valves and new valve guide gaskets! cleaned the surface of the block soon no more leaky sump i also got hold of a weber adapter plate from tally ,so now i need to get hold of a weber carby preferably a 32/32... anyone here that has one?

  9. Looks great! the paint job is looking really good! how much did you pay for it? with a bit of lowring the car would look absolutely stunning :D

Will try that! iv now swapped the whole front suspentipon/steering with the one from my parts car, its now sitting much lower with copped Volvo 240 lowering springs.. i also swapped the carb due to popping in the exhaust and it soudned like it was running on 3 when i was going at constant speed... much better now :) then i started working on the "worked" engine... splitted the engine and gearbox and got the orignal fly out.. Lightned- 6,6 kg's Original - 8,5kg's then i took the head off and took all the valves out... I'm going to use a new type head with valve stem gaskets! i have to wait till i get the new valve stem gaskets before i get any further.. Old and new type valves the old type head was really oily! i need to change the sump gasket aswell.. a fair bit of rollaparts..
  11. Got hold of 2 sets of Ford Escort RS rims. one of MK2 and one unnown but ill post pics this weekend :) a local photographer asked if he could take some photos of my old rolla... Painted the centers black rally quick , ill take them off this weekend and polish the lip and do some more painting :)
  12. lightned flywheel, can't remember how it was like when i dropped it of... did he take away much? head is machined 1mm, cleaned the ports with a toothbrush :) will be installing my VS35 stiff valve springs and regrind the valves :)
  13. Luckly its not my fault :D anyways.. the head form the seized engine is in for shimming, going to take of it 1mm and gave him a flywheel to work with aswell.. told him to take like 1-2 kg off it :)
  14. Crank with half a rod... crank... have 3 of theese wonder how this all started... hmmm.. may have something to do with theese bolts? this is the rod next the the one missing..
  15. yup, ill get some pics up soon, i forgot my camera so i had to get my friend to snap some pics and he is still asleep... anyways i think the reason for it are loose nuts at the rods... one of the nuts on the rod next to this was totaly loose and had almost come off... cranck is wrecked, block, sump, oilpump etc is trash...
  16. ouch it hurts to see something that fits but i can't get hold of... i don't think its worth it shipping them all the way here... not going for the huge wheels i linked to but i want some new wheels! I'm thinking of trying some escort mk1/mk2 wheels, and going for som escort mk2 BDA fender widners... anyways, here is the internals of the engine... I'm going to put worked and the seized engine together and get one working engine WITH valve stem seals! so I'm going to take the head of the seized and put heavy duty springs on it, regrind the valves and mayyybe shim the head, but i don't think i have the money for that now...

  18. new engine in! runs great but bogs mid throttle--> when going at the same speed... but when its accelerating its great... here is a video of the mighty original 1166cc engine :)

This is going out! did not even take me an hour to take it out now, i know every nut and bolt... bonet is going off radiator out Oil press, water temp, coil cable, fuel line, clutch wire, earthing.. heater choke og throttle wire gearlever reversewires and speedometerwire gearboxoil, motoroil and gearboxmounts exhaustbolts 3 cables to the starter and 2 conectors to the alternator and enginemounts.. then its out my sump.. it has 2 of theese 6 hours drive tomorow to pick up a 150$ engine... :)
  20. actually I'm planning to run the stock diff, i have a TA60 diff, driveshaft T50 gearbox laying arround... the engine already comes with a T50, TA60 driveshaft, KP61 engie mounts and a few engine crossmenmbers I'm worried that the ta60 diff is too wide... i have wheels that have both 4x114 and 4x110 so wheels whould be no problem if i swap the rear axle :)
  21. Thanks, there is a few things I'm worried about tho, like the tailshaft... what do you guys do with the tailshaft when putting a4age into a ke20.. i have a TA60 axle that fits the t50 box.. could i use that? or do i need the back end of a ke70 axle and the front of a ae86?

It's now safe to say the "new" engine is dead, i think a rod flew through the side of the block last night.. it has been knocking since the first start, the guy i bought it of only started it with a rusted exhaust so he did not hear it... :( i have found a new engine + gearbox for like 150$ so I'm not that angry, it was an experience blowing it up.. :) iv also talked to a guy selling a 4age from a ae86 with wire loom ecu gearbox etc.. for 2500$.. ill try to get it a bit cheaper but il see.. il atleast buy a new 3k first.. :) ill try to snap a few pics later today :)
  23. Fist, i got my drivers lisence 9. april , woho! Got hold of "new" engine from a ke30, got it for 1500 NOK- 250 AUD... i had a oil leak and i managed to snap a spark plug in hte threads so i think i have to take the had off.. soo here it is... all orginal 3k.. P.o said it only had 60k's on it but i don't thust him... my beauty... this wil go back in some day.. but if i get enough money for a 4age ill go that route instead.. Getting some help from a friend.. :) 20. april... REGO!
  24. juup, thats my guess aswell, hoping for it to be the fuel pump, iv got a Honda 600 pump in the mail some place in Asia right now :) anyways.. put my mid 80's mud & snow tires at the rear and took it for a spin.. the carbs shake so much that the throttle wire pops off so i made a bracket to fix them to the engine :) Ill never get tired of looking at the carbs test fitted my bumper with sport lights to make holes in the licence plate in the right place,i need to trim the plate a bit to fit 100%... iv got another problem aswell.. a smal oil leak at the sump.. :(

Iv bought a Honda bike pump.. :) will se how that works :) It running great! both idle and rev! no bogging or anything :D i have a problem tho.. one of the choke brass tubes have snapped... so i need to block off the choke on cylinder number 1.. :) Jacked it up to change transmition oil testing the overflow... it goes halfway up the tubes .. here is the brass tube that have snapped...
