  1. AE86 Gearbox in had to move the shifter hole backwards, much better possision now! Ae86 tailshaft fits in perfect lenght i think! ill have to dubble check, now i need to possision the axle and weld it to the KE20 axle mounts
  2. havent tried the brakes yet, bleed the front and ill wait with the rear till the new rear axle is in :) hmm the pressure seems fine judging by the exhaust, before it was all back and the idle was like a rotary.. took it for a test, seems fine took in inside and jacked it up.. axle out TA22 axle with welded diff going in swapping the gearbox for a ae86 one, instead of the old TA22 one i had, it was leaking and the 3rd gear was kind of hard to get into, had to go to 2nd then 3rd... so i have to make a mount for the tailshaft support aswell, and possibly shorten it, its a AE86 tailshaft
  3. New parts, Malpassi 1:1 RRFPR, Datsun 240z brake master the thingy in the rear of the brake master fits with some modifications KE20 brake master 11/16 240z master 7/8
  4. luckily my insurance covers the damage on her property, the crown is almost as new, i thing the fact that is a chassi on top of a frame saved me... if it was a monocoque car like the corollas the damages would have been much greater... anyways.. since i'm unsure if i want to register the 4age, the 1600 on the valve covers have to go.. brought out a set of fresh valve covers to work on.. going to swap the cams in my engine so i have to take them off soon anyways :) shaved off the "1600" a coat of filler and look at this beauty.. a Toyota Liteace, 1.8 diesel 1C engine, never heard of..
  5. ahh that makes sense! yeah i have a Nanometer plumed in so ill be able to see aht pressure i have :) i guess i have a lot of else shit to do now.. the parking brake faile on the crown today, ʞ©$ɟ
  6. hmm I'm thinking to just add it after the factory regulator, that would be fine i hope? I just want drivable fuel pressure, can't rally drive it with 8 bars, you can hear/smell its running really rich and i don't have a heart to rev it with wrong fuel pressure... hmm didnt belive a FPR had so much to do with the response?... and another question, why does not the factory FRP keep the pressure down to what it should? the pressure i'm running is just too high for it to handle? it's not so easy to build a car when you know nothing, but you know its possible in some way, you just don't know how or don't know anyone who can explain it to you, felling so stupid for asking all these questions but I'm 19, and have no mechanical education and English is not my mother tongue... anyways, picked up my welded TA60 axle now, will start to disassemble it as soon as i can :)
  7. thanks, yep i need a brace in the main hoop and a harness bar, just need some more cage spec tube :) annd i'v orderd a Datsun 240Z brake master cylinder, 7/8" so i gope thats enough i'v also bought a maplassi ajustable fuel pressuere regulator 1:1 but do the 4age require constant fuel presssure or should i conenct up the vacume line and get it to follow the manifold pressure? i'v also bought a MA61 supra to swap the engine into the Crown so I'm currently low on money.. so the plan now is to take the TA60 welded rear axle i got and put the diff into the TA22 axle, then put in the ta60 brakes aswelll... all this to get it a tad narrower than the TA60.. doing this instead of welding the TA22 so i can go back to a open fdiff if i change my mind... and back to the Crown, i swapped the 5R and the drivetrain for a MS85 drivetrain and a 4M, now I'm planning to put a 5M-GE in it and possibly Twinturbo it.. anyone got experience with turboing 5M's here? :) but first the supra will be a beater, i have to clean out the tank to get it to start, atleast i hope thats the problem... then ill be putting in a bucket seat, 4pointharness and some rally/gravel tires and use it in the fields and get some "test plates" for it so i can roadtest it aswell :D currently using the Crown as a daily so a lot of money is going for gas aswell...
  8. cut off all the 4 link brackets of the Celica axle because everyone knows leafs are the best! pullex the axlels, the splines are 24mm, so i think a AE86 zenki LSD would fit... hmm i have one in my 86 axle but i don't want to sacrafice that either.. if anyone has a cheap lsd send me a PM :) don't want to put in the welded one i have, simply because its a road car and i don't want that sudden oversteer/understeer.. painted it
  9. celica rear axle, a coupple of cm wider, i need to clean it, cut of all the mountings, weld on new mounts, paint it and rebuild the brakes then i can throw in a set of lowering blocks and go play! new minlite wheels, 4x114 , i just loove the look of them pretty many rides outside of the garage today

Car is almost finished but ill meassure up the pistons and the master, keep in mind that i don't have the same brake master as you guys, i have a twin circut thingy.. instaled a pressure guage on my fuel pressure and its at 7-8bars so i need a fuel pressure regulator, but i don't know what to buy, i had a china one laying arround but that was more of a on/off valve and not a regulator... and my brake problem I'm thinking a 280z master, can anyone vertify that this fits its 7/8 inch so much bigger than stock... and it has the vertical bolt pattern.. and diff i'm thinking the TA22, i have to shorten the driveshaft and i want the AE86 gearbox so ill be using the gearbox end of a ta60 tailshaft and weld it together with rear end of a ta22 tailsahft... atleast thats the plan.. ITB's arrived adopted a set of thrumpets from my 2T-G, had to redrill the holes but they fit perfect 86 brakes and 20 brakes...
  11. got tired of the holes in the back hatch so i carefully welded them up put the levin front end just to see how it looks, first and last time its on the car while i own it :) can't wait for the Trueno jacked it down and just put some Borbet wheels on slicks i had laying arround, not going with these, i want RS Watanabe wheels or TE37V :) unsure to go with the TRD wing or not, thinking of restoring both my rear hatches, one with one without..
  12. hmm yeah ill have a look at paint stripper before i blast the body, i have a small blaster with really fine sand so it does not harm sheet metal, its only the cleanup thats shit if i blast the body, the stuff finds its way everywhere! anyways, got the good old steamer out and started getting shit of thees 2.. all the grease gone, it even strips the paint if i hold it really close, but i still have to take them apart and sandblast every little bit, put on epoxy primer, paint than reassemble :) quality stamped

  14. the big one for you coil? the small one for the lambda? and the one with 2 wires i can't remember i used? can't remember it being so many plugs on the exhaust side of the engine.. i all the "4A-GE into KE Guides" are really dodgy and not really helping, everyone just tells you its sooo easy blah blah blah, and linking to the wiring diagram... yes the wiring diagram helps but you don't have a clue what plug they go to..
  15. hmm yeah ill probly take the diff cover off :) haha this is not getting anywhere near a gravel road when its finished! only gravel road its going to roll on is my driveway in 5km/h.... going to scrape the underside and paint it so i guess its going to be taken care of :) I'm going with the panda look, thinking of painting the whole body white then painting the black stripes, that way i have a white underside ,engine bay and inside... what color was the engine bay and underside on a orginal panda? stripped out rust? no unsure if i want to use paint stripper, wire brush or sandblast it.. hmm? rear suspension out except this... took these off since i don't need them until paint...
  16. Dropped the rear end out i don't know if its a LSD or not? both wheels turn the same direction when i spun the tailshaft? Got all the shit out of the car someones been here, some work left.. not much left to take apart started stripping the paint of the front end.. going back to bare metal for the front and the underside...
  17. haha, no I'm not parting out this one bought some interior parts of a guy in Danmark since someone painted mine gray.. dropped out the front suspesion, can't wait to start sandblasting it all, going to tilt the chassi and scrape the underside back to bare metal
  18. okay, shit just got serius, bough a set of 266/260 dur 9.5/9 lift cams, TRD 0.5 headgasket for more compression, silvertop ITB's... so I'm going to swap in the cams and headgasket, then gather parts for the ITB and when i'v got everything i need I'm going to put the ITB's and standalone on it.. soo now i need and ITB to bigport adapter and a standalone, any suggestions? :) ohh and i bought a set of nippon 0.5oversized piston with new rings for 20$, all new in box, don't need them yet but who knows :) hoping for 150-160 hp.. btw my engine is a Malaysia import, MAP, dunno if its diffrent from the eruo spec 4ages, they got map aswell.. i can't get my brakes to work propperly, i'v now got AE86 front brakes with braided lines and stock in the rear and stock brake master, and i can't get the pedal hard, its just going all the way to the floor.. its not hard enough? any tips? i'v been bleeding the brakes a lot, bleed trough like half a liter of brake fluid
  19. Made a exhaust got my spacer for the gearbox it starts and runs, fuel system is finished... lots of small things still needs to be done :)

Finally! i now have spark, turns out the fault Was a broken test clam that i used to Power the ECU, so i swapped that all of a sudden i had spark, and i can spell the injectors are working, the gas in the system is really old. Now i need to do the fuel system and then i can do a startup :D i also need to do the alternator, Exhaust and radiator :)
  21. okay, turns out the posstive power on the negative side of the coil dissapears when i take off the possitive so you where right, nothing wrong, its just flowing through the coil... i'v been learning what pins do what inthe ECU and have printed out a wiring diagram, so ill go check if everything is right in the weekend here is a panoramic pic for you guys :) Ahh okey ill try to figure out what to do with the fuel pump then.. hmm

Thanks alot! will try to soruce it, the breakes loos like they need a overhaul, and since I'm swapping everything why not do them aswell :) Srarted with the Surge setup :) an i have a problem with my wiring, i'v got possitive on both sides of the coil dunno why but can i just unhook the negativ on the negative and ground it? :) btw thanks for the diagram aswell parrot! :D EDIT: my fuel pump is rated at 6 Bar, is that too much?
  23. yeah i probly have to rebuild them :) ill PM you later ;) made some engine mounts, a bit of a hassle due to the oil filter you lucky bastards down under, i hae to use to use the original manifold and modify the downpipe to clear the steering made a hole in the firewall to pull the wiring testing if i know how to wire it, made it crank but i didnt have spark, forgot to hook up the condensator so i think thats the problem, i even had possitive at the coil... have to use the radiator of the AE86, so now i need to make mounts for that, make the exhaust, set up a surge tank setup, and do the wiring :D

Hi, I'm in the middle of converting my KE20 to a 4A-GE, i'v never done a carb t EFI swap before so i'v never set up a surge tank, got hold of a tank and pumps, now i just need to put it together.. will this work? and i'v noticed my ke20's got 2 fuel lines,one goes to the engine, and one goes into t heleft framerail where the engine crossmember bolts to the chassi, what does that do?
