  1. finally got my shit together and moved the car to the workshop! first i welded the pitman arm just to be able to move the car arround and figure out where i need to chop the body to clear the tires need to get a new one as soon as i get some money started welding the rear right arch, the car is on lowring blocks in this pic.. :D lots of space for the 16" the reinforcement is missing at this side partly missing here and about this much of rust... and i need to cut out and reweld this further back, and a part in the front wing as you can see, this is needed when the car is getting lower, i also need to reweld the lowring struts aswell... My friend who is supposed to be welding my rear wheels told me he think he may not be able to do it because its the wrong kind of alloy... dunno how to explain in english.. fuq...
  2. ahh thanks found the one on ebay but ill se if i can take it out of the parts car :) anyways cleaned out the barn and gatherd all the shit i had laying arround at one olace, here are some of the engines..
  3. here it is, its not gigantic, but its huge enough when you hit it in like 70km/h an move it almost 2 meters with the front of a Ke20.. my keys on top of it front end.. anyways, took the car to Rudskogen the day before Gatebil---> Toyota Trackday. almost hang in there with the GT86's ( the one with crappy tires and gutless drivers)... you could say me and my friend when all in, inner front tire lifting, downshifting in to get it sliding into the turns etc... the Track staff was laughing and clapping their hands when we drove so i call it a win! it was a fun experience and will be repeated, with a camera! we both when out of power on our phones pretty quick out pit.. here is me talking to a fellow KE owner, he had a KE30 with a 2T-B and T50... anyways my mate managed to get a crappy film the first lap, did not know the track and was taking it easy when it decides to get tail happy in 3.gear... the track is sooo slippy in the wet! was fun but it it quickly dried up. Gotta have a warm up lap with Miami vice theme- Jan Hammer!
  4. its not, "just a bent front plate and the bar under the radiator. i hit a BIG rock... ill post some pics later today of the car... i was lucky, missed all the trees!
  5. well thanks guys, now i went to a Japanmeeting on saturday... sunday its a whole diffrent story... :bash: luckly i had a friend nearby with a tracktor so we managed to get it up before the cops/ other poeple saw it
  6. got it started, had to adjust the igintion breaker and change the oil, and trans oil, some fresh fuel and it fired right up :) started welding up the exhaust, this is 2" then the rest is 2,5" and a see through silencer in the rear tacked up need attach the gear lever, some wires and some hoses then its good to go
  7. washed :) 2T-G and 2T-C gearbox mounted in the car still lots to do had to use the 2T-G exhaust due to the 2T-C hitting the pitman arm, 2T-G is ALOT more compact! i also got a gasket set at my local toyota dealer, they are begining to know me so i got 25% off!
  8. ill be getting new rings and new rod bearings and maybe new valve stem seals ill look into it.. ended up having a rod through the wall of my 3k again... this thime it knocked the starter away and snapped both bolts holding it... now idea how this happend, filled oil the day before and i have NEVER touched the rodbolts/rods/crank... ? started knocking and i knew what it was and was not in the mood to fix up a little 3k engine when i have a 2tg i need to fix so i just drove it home, well almost drove almost 10km with a SERIUS knock then 100m away from my house the rear wheels locked up.. I'm fed up with K series now..! anyways drove 500kms with a couple of friends to get this beauty! 2tc from a ta40.. same block as the 2tg so bolts up to the t50 gearbox= 5 gears and 1.6! a bit ugly but I'm hoping a round with the seamer will fix that, i got quad carbs laying arround for this head.. dunno if ill mount them on or not :)
  9. Thanks! painted the lip and ducktail and washed the car also cut out the original wheel arches in the right side and put the flares on! orignal vs 265 and as you may spot, a rear swaybar, going to take the diff (LSD) and swaybar and fit to the RallyRolla :) i want my rims back!!! ducktail pic
  10. Hi, as some of you might knew i bought another KE20 a coupple of weeks back.. got it for 10 000 NOK = 1600 aud got a shit load of pars with it -2T-GEU in parts -Trd oil pump -twin 40 solexes -T50 gearbox early type so it fits ke20 driveshaft -2tg to ke20 engine mounts -4x KN diamond 4x110 rims with tyres -4x Borbet T 9x16 with 4x semislicks, he payed 1100 aud just for the tires - 4x orignal wheels with tyres - a whole new steering in parts, all new busings for the whole car etc.. -a front of another ke20 cut up, almost rust free -27mm front swaybar -shortned struts with aw11 dampers -shorter and stiffer rear dampers -rear swaybar -LSD diff ( Phantom grip insert) -3k with k40 box -te27 dash with tacho -te27 heater panel with guages -1.gen celica steering wheel, center console and dash - probly loots of other parts i forgot he was moving out of the country and saw my Rallyrolla and send me a facebook message about his car... such luck! i kind of understand why he picked the buyer of his car, its a beauty and he would like to see it finished.. iv seen a ad on the ned before where he was trying to sell it for 5 times the price... getting it home trying to mock it up.. got a ducktail and flares aswell and a front spoiler.. tire is just put in under, no suspention rims, as you see this has been cut in 2.. its now sent for widening, going to add 3 inches :D ---> 12" wide soo today i mounted the entire front suspention ,missing the pitman arm tho, and om broke so i can't afford a new one so ill just wait til i have a bit of money... there is a lot ofe tire on this car! front is 225, rear is going to be 265! orginal struts, the car came with shortned struts, but the spring holder is also lower so it hits the tire, so i need to move it about 4mm of clearance betwwen the rim and the strut and 4mm between the spring holder and tire orignal vs shortned with aw11 dampers needs the lip, low, and my rear rims
  11. yep they are almost impossible to find, lots of guys advertising that they want to buy 2tg's/18rg's on Facebook but nobody is selling.. i got mine because a guy saw my project and contected me :) found out the exhaust cam was 1 tooth off, when i fixed that it PULLED! both me and my brother agreed that its not far from his 200SX when it was orignal.. anyways the 2TG was puffing some blue smoke and i think i have rod knock? so ill get new bearings and probly new valve stem seals or piston rings :) slapped the Worked 3k in it for now, 280 duration Competition cam, new lifers, VS35 stiffer valve spings, 1mm shimmed head, newgrind valves, and 2kg ligter flywheel.. but its just dying at idle so i have to set the idle at 3000... ?
  12. ouch i have to check a lot of things! but had to do some other stuff first! it pulls allright... no boging or anything just the 3000 idle so I'm thinking false air... took the carbs of toyday and tried out something new... will test it out tomorow :) overheated the first ride, had a bad hose clamp... no damage done :) soo good to have 5 gears! low rpms time to sort out the suspention MOOG tie rod ends! lots of new stuff the shaking in the steering wheel was so bad this had come loose the solution had to use the grinder on this one new stuff in allinement started polishing the RS rims testign out color combos, thinking i will black it out insted of the red.. saw a propper car today! HJ60 with a Turbo conversion!
  13. hmmm thanks... after i checked the cams today and moved them a bit it ran fine in the top but it still idles at 3000, iv checked the chokes, i think evry one of the valves is making the clunk noise... i have to try to check for air leaks and like you said the shaft for the valves... had a test run today, it did not ran like 120 hp but I'm thinking that is the igintion but i had wheelspin though whole first gear and a bit in 2nd... I'm guessing more like 60-70 if the orignal was 50...
  14. Found a starter! buut i have 200 jets...?!?! and the smal ones are 57.5 i'v understood that it should be 180 orginal but the P.O told he used it daily and that would be impossible if it was running like this, ide is at 3000 aswell so i suspected air leak in the manifold, fixed that and havent startet it after that but what else could cause it to idle at 3000? where is the ide screw?
  15. hmm.. but it does not... obviusly.. getting kind of tired of this haha, no power at all
  16. sorry for a really bad explanation but it studied the manual and found out how its suposed to be :) i think they are part of the accs pump assembly.. anyways, the accs pumps worked liek a dream! squirted like they should, atleast i think! got the carbs back on the engine.. 1 problem less! now i just need braided fuel hose to go with my fancy fuel lines
  17. fund out its supposed to sit halfway up, but i know this question is pretty stupid but i just want to be sure... O-ring up or O ring down? i don't know if its sealing something in the chamber top or whaterever?
  18. Thanks, I'll take it apart and put locktite there for sure! yep, ultrasonic would be the best, cleaning them by hand takes time and always leaves some spots... anyways, I'm not done with the carbs, the top is just placed there I'm still missing something inside... is part #73 supposed to sit halfway above the top of the carb? can't remember it was like this when i took them apart...
  19. yeah, I'm starting to understand why theese kind of carbs use a lot of fuel! 2/4 of the accs pump jets where blocked, took the whole carbs apart, cleaned, used a air gun and carb cleaner to clean everything, and blew thorugh all the jets, then polished them up a bit, put it toghether but I'm having problems with 1 part but ill look into that later :) had new pumps laying, aswell as floats needles:) its soo nice to know how the stuff you have under the hood works, I'm almost glad the carbs where clogged up so i got a chance to learn how side draft carbs work
  20. Thanks :) found out cams where wrong , fixed that and then it fired up, had to pullstart it due to bad starter, so now i have a few porblems i need to fix, not running good, idle is good but i need to carefully step on the throttle to prevet killing it, if i push the pedal to the floor it dies... and i have a ticking noise from the gearbox.. grrrr and that bad starter... anyways, opned up the carbs and cleaning them out :) also giving them a light polish :)
  21. mounted coil and fuel pump last time this is out i hope exhaust is a bit low.. need to heat it up then bend it.. tried using a propane burner to get it hot.. nahh had to get some more heavy duty stuff.. cutting torch.. welded the manifold to the orginal exhaust.. probly way too small hmm.. alternator mount welding a better alternator mount JDM as F**K mounted everything together..missing -Gearbox oil -iginition--> firing it -gear lever -getting the air out of the cluch system and checking everything..
  22. i have mesh filters ;) don't worry ... the upper one is orignal had to space out the lower mount of the pump to align it better with the pedal, the screws are big enough :) bad pic :)
  23. Thnks a lot for all the tips! assembled the engine but i need to tighten the head to toque specs :) installed a clutch pump... clucthpump in the middle test fitting engine
  24. made my own tool to remove valves :) takes about 30 sec each valve when you are 2 persons... you need to be strong tho... and now for something thechnical.. iv monted the bottom chain, mached the bright links in the chain with the marks in the sprockets... then i just do the same with the others? this is just placed out for illustration but its this "simple" right? atleast in theory
  25. Thanks alot! will sertanly look into baffles in the sump or something, i was starting to learn to drift with the orginal 3k so with a 2tg i can't imagine it will be easier to drive normal... aftar all it is a rally car with road tires! Then its time for rods, i will not mix rods and pistons, but i will mix rods and crank no wonder why this was suffering from rod knock... oil holes did not match.. changed to the 2tc bearing, new valve stam seals cleaning and grinding the valves got the pistons in everyone here knows it... toyota is the best!
